Question: is it normal to have the LSPD tint on every gun?
Question: is it normal to have the LSPD tint on every gun?
It's the best looking one other than the standard tint
It's the best looking one other than the standard tint
But man, getting 600 kills for each (vanilla) gun, that must take a lot of commitment.
The only vanilla gun I even use anymore is the Uzi, complex crosshair makes it a fucking sniper The only other one worth using is the Combat MG, so unless you're going for a super specific look on your character that absolutely requires a blue gun, it's probably not worth the effort. That said, a decent way to earn kills on weapons is to join adversary lobbies or host piracy prevention/stand your ground
That said, a decent way to earn kills on weapons is to join adversary lobbies or host piracy prevention/stand your ground
This is just a theory, but let's say you had a 2nd GTA V copy, couldn't you make a dummy character and just shoot him a lot to earn the tints too?
It'd be more tedious than playing borderlands 2, but yeah that would work
I like using the Uzi because if you shoot at someone from far away, they will think there's like three guys with pistols shooting at them, but in reality it's just me hiding in a rock or something.
The uzi is probably my favorite gun for taking out NPCs. With auto aim, you can take out like five guys before the first one hits the ground.
I can't believe that we still don't have a DeLorean in-game.
i had this message the other day [T]http://puu.sh/vHrEV/bb2f3488a0.png[/T] what does it mean exactly
i had this message the other day [T]http://puu.sh/vHrEV/bb2f3488a0.png[/T] what does it mean exactly
If you were in a public session, a cheater may have found a way to exploit certain shit like that. [editline]d[/editline] Seeing some reports that the message you got also can appear when the servers go down for maintenance.
ah, i was in an empty public session by myself, so i was confused why i was kicked from my own lobby
I wonder what every online character's parents think about them. Imagine raising a boy/girl and have them grow up to be the person who rams people at car races and sells meth.
I wonder what every online character's parents think about them. Imagine raising a boy/girl and have them grow up to be the person who rams people at car races and sells meth.
I mean, I'd be pretty proud if my son/daughter was a multimillionaire business owner.
I mean, I'd be pretty proud if my son/daughter was a multimillionaire business owner.
Multi-millionaire mass murderous psychopathic business owner who also runs a biker gang, with 3 businesses in cocaine, marijuana, and counterfeit money production, and engages in stolen car trafficking and soon to become a gunrunner. Everything a parent could be proud of.
Don't forget being an immortal too.
My character dresses as an anime school girl and kills people by the thousands with a bright pink gun I bet her parents are real proud
Played for couple of hours with a friend in private session, when we finished I joined a public one(just to see some people driving around while I buy some ammo and whatnot) aaaand I got 21 million in a form of spam of "You've been paid 50,000 for bodyguard services by SecuroServ" or something like that. Needless to say, just like I mentioned it earlier, that money is already almost gone. :v: It feels weird that I finally got to buy things I've always wanted to have(Ruiner 2k, Blazer Aqua among those things), but I still want to play the game because it's fun to do the missions with a friend where you just come up with dumbest shit and do it. And the biker mission bonus is perfect for that, because the missions are just like CEO/VIP work - open world, not instantiated. That means, I'm gonna take a fucking Phantom Wedge and ram the shit out of enemies in some missions...even though the thing will explode after like 20 vehicles but hey. Also, Ramp Buggy survived 21 direct vehicle hits, I counted, and it made me sad. And it doesn't seem to have a CEO/VIP work either? So I can't start the level and just ram the shit out of everything in the game world until mission ends, like I can in Phantom Wedge. :saddowns: [editline]7th May 2017[/editline] Just in case: I most probably won't get penalised for having money raining into my bank account, right?...
Just in case: I most probably won't get penalised for having money raining into my bank account, right?...
its 50/50 but I endorse cheating cash in GTA:O if that makes you feel better
So, I know a lot of you probably aren't into the nitty-gritty of game design or care about multiplayer structure and its long-term effect on a game's playerbase, but... I think I realize why I felt a lot of friction when trying to get into GTAO, and why I've been feeling even more when trying to return to it. Couple of videos first to clarify terminology:

Basically, GTAO is and has always been dominated by the achiever and killer, making life kinda hard for the socializer - which I consider myself to be among - but not impossible. This is normally fine for a game of GTAO's scope and flexibility, especially considering crews and private sessions can filter undesired types of players out, but as the game evolved both on old-gen and early new-gen, new mechanics were added which clearly favored one type over all others: the killers. The homing launcher, the armored kuruma, the hydra, these are all things that provide killer-type players an enormous amount of power, and at very little risk. Meanwhile, heists brought in more achievers, the lowrider update raked in more socializers, and the PC release itself drew in more of everybody, exponentially increasing the number of targets for the killers to beat into the dirt with their new toys, and making the game more alluring to that archetype for a time. Thing is... That amount of growth that quickly, especially the growth of an archetype that most other types of players despise, wasn't anywhere close to being sustainable, with a huge exodus of socializers following finance and felony thanks to its continued pro-killer mechanics, and a drastic increase in killers using external tools to assert dominance on the rest of the playerbase driving many achievers away too. It all kinda imploded, and that implosion still hasn't completely stopped; the playerbase might not seem to be shrinking if you just look at raw data, pure ins and outs, but I can assure you, the number of players who have interests in aspects of the game other than making your day miserable, is falling fast. If there continues to be no interest in restoring a balance to the game, it may soon become a game filled with killers and almost no one else, driving all others away so efficiently that they become bored fighting eachother, and when that happens, GTAO may genuinely start to die out.
Lumping players into groups like that is a bit silly considering some people fit into the "social" group amongst their friends but turn into "killers" when outside players are thrown into the mix. People are too bipolar to categorise
I think I'm just about done with GTA Online It was fun for a while, just collecting and modding cool cars and doing missions but I feel the unpredictability of other players is turning me off. More than once I was driving around minding my own business when some cunts in a turreted Insurgent shot me and then destroyed my car for no reason. Players shooting me down while in an unarmed aircraft. Trying to complete some of the more bullshit "stay in this area and defend it from too many enemies coming from all sides with no cover" type missions and someone leaves because we're not winning on the first try. I get why they focus the game around this unpredictability, but that doesn't make it fun. Half the time I was playing I was in passive mode because some cunt was flying around in a Hydra shooting anything that moved.
Unfortunately being a cunt is the appeal of gta online to a lot of the playerbase
Man i was so motivated on playing GTA Online today until i saw my bank balance. Aint nobody got time for grinding missions and waiting for players
Unfortunately being a cunt is the appeal of gta online to a lot of the playerbase
doesn't help that cuckstar encourages it
Lumping players into groups like that is a bit silly considering some people fit into the "social" group amongst their friends but turn into "killers" when outside players are thrown into the mix. People are too bipolar to categorise
Fair, but most if not all players have a primary motivation for playing, one that tends to be consistent with one of these archetypes: playing to acquire success or stuff, playing to learn about the game itself, playing to have fun with others, and playing to dominate everyone. It is absolutely possible to show tendencies of another group in the moment, but all things being equal, you'll still usually gravitate back to the one you started playing the game for. [editline]7th May 2017[/editline] Interactions with friends are much more complex and individual, and are nearly impossible to categorize this way. The four-type system really only applies to player interaction where all parties are strangers.
I find it interesting that I've never experienced any of the problems mentioned here. My bank account hasn't been tampered with, I can do any of my Biker Gang drug missions without getting harassed, I really have a pretty pleasant time while playing Online, the only thing that annoys me is that there feels like nothing to do most of the time.

Never had cash being given, don't have to deal with modders and rockstar bans. No character resets, don't have to see a chatbox full of ironic shitposting, 90% of the playerbase plays worse than me and most problems are solved as easily as switching to a different session. I rarely see jet shitters given that most of them stopped playing the game a long time ago.

The last time I only got "it's missing stuff from GTAO" but servers are getting way more advanced now, there's GUIs pretty similar to vanilla's character creation and some servers are getting persistent inventory/cars/etc. Others are just freeroam with trainers, but they're still more fun than GTAO because the risk of hackers and killers are totally gone and it's 100% socializing. It's pretty remarkable how I haven't seen anyone abusing trainers/mods, both because of good admins and because everyone is there just to chill out and have fun. On a GMod forum 'RP' will sound like whack shit, but right now it's only messing around and finding people rather than anything serious with any 'RP rules'. I've only had it for a few months but it's a totally different game without all the fun-restrictions like in GTAO. It's also really popular with Twitch streamers right now, which means you'll bump into pretty much every type of person/appear on a few livestreams :v:.
