Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V11 - SERIOUS RP ONLY
So both the HVY Nightshark and the new cargo plane in the last two MOC missions are not available to purchase, with the Nightshark being especially weird. Are they seriously going to drag these out over the next several weeks?
Buy the Nightshark for a limited time period in 3 days after you have unlocked it in a 5-mission setup series only for [del]$1,539,000[/del] $2,135,000!
That's weird. I just assumed the Nightshark came with the anti-air trailer automatically. What do you use to pull the trailer then?
It spawns with a Sadler but you can tow it with any compatible vehicle

A Vapid Sadler. In so far as I am aware you cannot customize it, though it comes with bullet proof tires and can resist at least a few rockets before exploding, so its not a standard one.
jesus, been booted from a full server like 5 times now
I'm really digging a lot of this new shit but just thinking about how long it's going to take to get the shit I want is depressing
I get they're pushing for shark cards and I guess I could sort of understand a tiny push but this shit is so expensive for everything and all the trimmings. Even if I was to give myself an extra 5 mil via shark card that shit would cost me £40~. Who is actually buying shark cards when they are worth so little?
for example if I pay £10 for the 1.25mil shark card, and then put that money into a bunker equipment upgrade which is around 1.10mil iirc, I've literally just paid £10 for my bunker to make shit slightly faster, but someone can still come and fuck it up if they want

my train of thought is basically GTA$ have very little value until it comes to actually getting said GTA$

I joined a server, and a modder gave me 10 million dollars in a matter of seconds. that's like 125 nz dollary doos, which is fucking ridiculous. these shark cards should be a fraction of the price they are :v:
I have explosive bullets on my heavy sniper now at level 60. I have never felt more alive taking down people that act like pricks and then call me one for ruining their fun, which is to ruin other low levels' fun

The trainers are already updated? That was quick.

There isn't much to do.
The ways they found are too stealth and hard to track, no matter how much checks they do.
I was able to trade in my bunker and save 2 million on a new one, please don't spread misinformation.
It's not letting ME do it, so it's not exactly misinformation.

I figured they'd at least be out of commission a few days for hooks to be found or addresses and such to be reidentified.
Jesus, this news about OpenIV is kinda devastating. I've been writing a machinima with a friend of mine for two years, and GTA V was my only real tool for making it; I had to make custom skins, reskin parts of the decor, and otherwise try to make San Andreas look like the Pacific Northwest. OpenIV was a tool that got extensive use in this, and now that we're losing it, I'm not sure what's gonna happen. They went after OpenIV, I think 5Mods will be next. As useful as it may be, GTA V's suite for making movies is limited in scope without mods.
I literally just finished filming, too. I really wish that it was just some sick joke.

Hell, yesterday someone had spawned an APC inside my MOC and crushed me with it only hours after the DLC came out.

They probably had excess money left
GTAForums is furious and exploding. They're all boycotting Take 2.
I think Rockstar fucked up their own lore. On one of the missions, Agent 14 says "It's 2017". Doesn't this game technically take place in 2013?

Time is convoluted in [del]Lothric[/del] Los Santos
Souls crossover confirmed, medieval update coming up next
This is bad. Gunrunning vehicles make you pay the insurance cost for destroying them.
The bigger problem I have with APC's are that they are a mobile desnyc mobile and will lag everyone and everything near it
I really hope that research and stock not increasing when offline is a bug. It's ridiculous how long you have to wait to get anything done.

Wasn't online first available in 2013 and with the updates it's as if years passed in their world and now it's 2017 there as well
Lore wise, GTAO is 3 months before the events of single player, which takes place in (fall?) of 2013, so time hasn't really passed, but it's pretty clear that R* doesn't give a shit.

that's how it was with biker businesses too though wasn't it?
Lore wise I like to believe that R* decided to drop the 2013 thing they were going with, and are going with a "GTA:O is set in the same year as real life" It makes sense, most games that have an online setting that's in current time, even if the general story of said game is probably nothing like whatevers going on in "X year"
that's how it was with biker businesses too though wasn't it?
Nope, businesses worked even when I was offline. It was one of the reasons why I considered the coke business to be the best money making method in the game. I could do a couple of resupplies before heading off for the night and the staff usually would've produced some product by the time I launched the game again.

Yeah we had this discussion in the discord, playing on console I never recalled it working when I wasn't playing, but apparently it does on PC. (I even went and restocked last night to check, logged in this morning and it hadn't changed)

In the GtaOnline subreddit there's biker business comprehensive guide, and it says that it will generate supplies only when online.
it's only ever worked for me while online
Can you still get around the insurance cost for blowing up an APC by placing a 1k bounty on the player? It's not ideal and that's bullshit but if you need to get rid of one I've used that method before.
