The Hydra is so powerful, it's not even funny.
I was about to leave a session when I saw this one MC who started a mission where they had to deliver a Prison Bus, I decided to go and blow it up just to see what happened (maybe another bus spawned or shit).
Once I blew up the bus and obliterated the MC, I noticed that every other organization and MC in the session stopped doing what they were doing and started hiding from me. Nobody bought supplies or crates, nobody started VIP Work and bikers pretty much stood under bridges and such. Nobody got into their helicopters. It kinda surprised me because in most sessions I've been, once people see an Hydra they usually spawn their Hydras and start fighting each other.
I wonder if they made a party once I left the session.
Dude
Stop
Nobody gives a fuck

You are the reason multiplayer sucks

quality post, i hope you know you're the embodiment of the people everyone hates the most in GTAO
they hid cause its not worth fighting a jet user since all jet users do 90% of the time is abuse passive mode and get another jet.
idek the people/MC and i have sympathy for them having to deal with people like you.
hydra's should be the last resort vehicle to use for people who don't understand when it's time to stop

like really
whats the point of even telling us this, unless you're a professional hole digger
I wish the "armored" clothing that provide those small health bonuses (bullet proof helmet, heavy clothing loadout, etc.) weren't so fucking hideous. The sleeveless vest and the bulletproof helmets are the worst offenders.
So this thread exists.

And there's a guy whos posted a 20 part fan fiction about her in it.
The first response summarizes a good deal of the posts after it:

Actually, based on what I read, the op's pretty much the only dude who feels that way.

Do bulletproof helmets and heavy clothing provide bonuses in free mode outside of heists and missions? I'd be interested to know how they work because I don't know much

I just figured out that she was a character in GTA4 lol, that's pretty cool

The heavy vests only work in heists as far as I know. Bulletproof helmets work in all activities, but it's pretty pointless to wear them in PvE activities because I'm fairly certain AI can't do headshot damage anyways.

If i'm not mistaken only the Bulletproof helmets work in free mode, they're not BULLETPROOF though, they just severely reduce headshot damage.
Some guy last night asked my friend and I if we could be his girlfriend in GTA. Idk if he was serious or just having a laugh, but he followed us everywhere.

This bullshit cost me $141,000

Yeah but was your adventure super wacky because you did everything the guy said because you like being controlled? It doesn't count if you don't post a super detailed story about it on facepunch

Including the parts where you act like a complete dick to random strangers and ruin the activities they are trying to do.
But really are a nice guy
Fuckin chaining together that shit-talk, god damn

You have to be more careful than that, I would've drove the boat around the pier knowing money was on the line.
I find it hilarious that solo delivering crates either consists of driving an invincible truck in a straight line for a short period of time, or trying to outrun a mini-gun spamming Valkyrie in the slowest plane in the entire game.
Ultimately I've come to the conclusion that the only way to make decent money in this game is just mind numbingly grind CEO work. Guess it's time to learn how to cash hack

If I buy a jet for 3 fucking million, it should be able to wreck shit, don't ya think?
Nobody is going to spend such money on a paperweight which would cost 38€ in Shark card terms.
Doesn't mean you have to be a dick with it, I mostly us it for other annoying pilots or those kuruma kiddies.
Hydras are easy enough to shoot down, it's simply the fact that people can call them from just about anywhere.
When I first played this on Xbox people used to stay around the military base so they could get jets all the time, my friend and I used to joke about how fucking awful it would be if people could own jets and call them in from pegasus
and look where we are now
Hydras are easy enough to shoot down, it's simply the fact that people can call them from just about anywhere.
not really the case since most of the time the homing missiles can't keep up with the jet, so i just stick with the heavy sniper and hope for the best
One of my friends RPG'd a Hydra as it flew over us. We both died from the explosion, but it was still fucking awesome.

That's how I feel about a lot of the CEO / newly disguised CEO-esque money laundering options. Just seems like a huge time sink for a shit payout. If Rockstar would allow us to do this crap during crew or friend sessions, that would be fantastic (but would also make too much sense). Trying to collect or deliver supplies during a normal session is just too much of a hassle. Once your shit is visible to everyone it's just a huge 'hey come fuck with this person' beacon. Some people really seem to enjoy constant PVP during those activities, but I'm definitely not in that boat. Grinding for cash that really doesn't get you anywhere is already tedious enough, and when you throw the generally shitty online community into the mix it's just a nightmare.
I've been having more fun in SP at this point with various scripts that bring the online components over. Not to mention LSPDFR is quite entertaining in short bursts.

Heavy sniper and bullshark, it's cheap but it blows them up in about 6 shots
I always forget about Bullshark, I've honestly never used it once.
