Killing people with the Hydra doesn't really make you an asshole.
It's who you annoy what determines wether you're just a guy with an hydra or a dickhead with an hydra.
As opposed to what the majority of the people in this thread believe, there are situations where it's fair game or it's a clean strategy to use the Hydra.
Like seriously, I don't get why people with more than three or four players on their organization complain about the Hydra.
If you have a big team taking down an Hydra shouldn't be that hard. I've seen groups of people keeping helipads clear and having at the least someone in a jet so nobody fucks with them.
Jesus fucking christ please shut up already
Anyone on right now?
I keep losing connection with other players. It's not fun.
So I just bought a motorcycle club/clubhouse and holy shit what a fucking scam. For starters, I wasn't even able to buy the clubhouse at first because lo and behold, it costs 50k minimum to not have a giant wall of tits as well as some other shit that isn't mentioned at all in the asking price. After all was said and done, the property that originally cost 210,000 zimbabwe bucks ended up being like 335k. After grinding some more magical heist money I was able to get it.
Then, after buying it, I was going to leave my bottom of the barrel apartment before discovering that you're tacked with permanent non-passive mode just for being an mc leader, which is quite frankly ridiculous considering apart from the title and fancy nametag there aren't any particular benefits. I can understand that if you're doing missions or grabbing cargo or something that you shouldn't be allowed to go passive, but for someone who isn't doing anything but driving it's quite annoying, especially since I can't aim for shit regardless of auto-aim due to being on PC most of the time (I own the game on ps4).
Eventually I got there only to find that I needed 3 times the base asking price of the original mc club for the cheapest business to start making money with. I really just can't win can I?
(Yes I knew it was going to cost some cash but really? 3 times the price of the base club for a shitty forgery shop? Also note: I didn't get into ceo stuff because I heard it was literally pointless.)
Also the only proper way of using a Hydra is by landing and giving it to someone who doesn't own one.
Sharing is caring, right?
well that is for as long as the thing allows you to pilot it. IIRC the thing kicks you out if you don't own it. But it's that fleeting happiness that is nice right?
I own a tank purely to hand over to low level players who I see getting bullied by far higher level ones.
The reactions are worth it every single time.

I mostly use it as an contact-mission running tool,
but you have to understand it is not only the physical power the hydra has,
but the psychological, every pilot is a potential risk to anything that is currently on the map,
the speed and striking power can arrive very, very sudden, even if it is on the other side of the map.
While the hydra can chill on the upper limit of the sky, everything on the ground, especially on the water,
lives or dies is on the whim of the pilot and the only real counter is another jet.
And paired with the ability to hide from radar for a minute makes it even a greater risk to others.
I noticed this before, If I get in my hydra shipments and supplies don't really get activated anymore,
and some players decide to get their own hydras just to get you outta the sky.
Minigun and Sniper more have a delayed effect of dealing enough damage that the engine fails after minutes
and any pilot with a pinch of skill laughs at homing rockets.
You need effectively another hydra or 3 other players on your side to keep a notorious pilot at bay.
To summarize, it outruns everything, it overpowers everything while being stealthy as shit.
And that is why I only use it for fast-travel, contact missions, to kill other annoying players
or as a tool to get recruited, because the VIP/MC invitations just fly in (pun intended) while sitting in one.
Using a jet still gives you a big shiny "I win button"
The fact you choose to use said button is what makes you an asshole to people :v:
If the Hydra is op then why don't you just use it?
1 insta win button vs. 3 insta win buttons is quite easy.
It stops being my fault when people want to be pendantic about killing someone with the same OP vehicle or gun they're using.
It's not like touching an Hydra will give you aids or the gods of GTA will punish you for defending yourself against it.
It's partially Rockstar's fault for never doing something against the Hydra.

I hope they add some circular sunglasses at some point. I want to look like a female Leon the professional.

The same reason I hate when people use the Kuruma in jobs and heists. Having one vehicle that trumps all the others reduces the diversity in equipment and strategy. Granted it's not as bad for me because I don't do any PvP.

Because i am not a Cheap ass Cunt, that's why

Just because everyone is doing it doesn't make it okay you know
Is it so hard to admit you just want to be an asshole and move on

The Hydra is not for assholes.
It's a clean strategy when fighting large groups of people.
It costs $200 to spawn and does a lot of damage.

you've got some major brain problems going on thinking that just because you don't think you're an asshole that there's no possibility of you being an asshole. a psychologist would have a field day with you
nikolai can you just go back to posting about posing as a woman in online because for as cringeworthy as that was, it was leagues better than "hey guys today i was an asshole to some people for no reason but i was proven right when they defended themselves by killing me wow self fulfilling prophecy"

I didn't know that not wanting to play the fucking game was a strategy
Stop trying to defend it man, i'll be here to rebuttal every fucking day
Your points never make any sense and you're just throwing whatever you can think of and hope that it sticks
Don't make a fool out of yourself man
[editline]23rd October 2016[/editline]
Well to be honest, you're already the class fool :v:
wait a second which niko is the one with the iconic white hair purple shirt white suit gta:o character :v:
Okay, so initially this has nothing to do with GTA, but I just got and am in the process of building a Lego Caterham Seven 620R, and I swear to you, like eight or nine of the pieces so far have been guns. Not gun shape, actual little Lego guns.
And the first place my very tired mind went when I realized this was "I wonder how many guns my Banshee is made of" :v:

It just doesn't make sense for me why is it "not wanting to play the game" the same as not playing the way you guys do.
Not wanting to play the game would involve exactly that, not doing the objective.
Most PvP Objectives involve killing other players.
Hunt The Beast basically tells you to fuck over an overpowered player (I remember this one time I killed the beast by an inch after my jet burst into flames after somehow surviving a homing rocket. Dude said GG after that so it wasn't really that bad).
CEO Work and MC work are basically about killing the players who started it. The game would have been different if only you could steal the crates and bring them to your own business, but instead you are told to just destroy them.
The only exceptions for this are Haulauge and that one MC Contract where you can steal the cash for yourself. In those cases I don't use the Hydra and just find a way to kill the enemy team without destroying the goods.
Don't get me wrong, I personally like the process of driving up to a place, shooting up people with the Assault Rifle and destroying the objective with Grenades or Rocket Launcher, classic GTA. But that method can only take you so far when the organization you're fighting against outnumbers you and out weights you with their sticky bombs and bulletproof helmets.
Only a fool would bring a Micro-SMG to a 1v4 battle where everyone else has full armor and can and will kill you nearly instantly with their Rocket Launchers.
If someone plays to win and the odds are stacked against them, in my head, it makes sense for them to use whatever they've got to win.
If you and three people are doing Headhunter and a single guy comes in and wipes your team with a Jet, it doesn't really make them an asshole.
They might have taken the easy approach by not exposing themselves, but it isn't really being an asshole because Headhunter is already a PvP activity to begin with.
I've found the best strats for fighting large groups

What do you do when a group of assholes picks on you?
There have been numerous times where I've been hunted down by organizations while I was doing absolutely nothing against them. (And I'm talking about 4 people traveling from LS to Paleto Bay just to try to kill me).
If you leave the game then you're letting 4 guys get you out of your business.
I mean, when I join a session, people are the ones who play with me or whatsoever. I'm not going to leave the session just because someone is trying to kill me, it's my session, not theirs.
When I play, most of the people that I kill are people who follow me when I'm not doing anything. I don't know how many of you still play Console GTA Online, but the majority of randoms that I've seen are the kind of person that does this:
I leave my apartment to mod a car, then I see a white blip following me.
I take a left turn, then a right turn, then speed up a little and they're still following me.
I drive into an alley and they still follow me.
Then I kill them and they bitch and moan saying "lol I wasn't gonna kill you", yet my rear window is fucked and the car has bullet holes on it.
Unless you do shit like this, then you can be sure I won't kill you.

incase the other +10 posts you read haven't just went from ear to ear and out; you have been and you are still digging yourself a hole.
Jets are lame easy meta-game vehicles people use when they don't have anything better to do than to PVP or if they aren't able to deal with players through any other means whether from laziness or lack of creativity and skill.
From every post you've made, you walk into a session filled with people minding their own business and you insert yourself by flying over them with a jet and shitting on their parade to start a fight so that you give yourself a "good reason" to do it.
Then you either feel surprised, or complain that they run/passive/complain/leave, and attempt to justify your actions that they could have just spent thousands of dollars on rockets/blew millions on a jet/driven across the city to pick up said jet and to blow you out of the sky, just so that you could go and pick another one up and to do it again. Cause that's totally an efficient right?
After doing it some more, you then post about your amazing one-of-a-kind experience (with a weird story if we're lucky enough) of how you bothered/provoked people with no intention of fighting into fighting you, after which you blow them out of the water as a justification. Great mental gymnastics.
In other words, you're part of the cancer that encompasses the GTA community.
even larger wall of words
MC work isn't centered around PVP, only if theres another MC in the session. AKA They'll duke it out and won't need the jet police to fly in and blow everything and everyone up, ruining whatever fun there was.
CEO doesn't have any PVP missions either - you confuse that with VIP minigames. CEO missions were basically "grab crate take crate to drop off". Unless you follow them or go out of your way to blow up their crate then there's no PVP involved.
If you're apart of a minigame like Headhunter or Beast Hunter and a guy with a jet comes out of nowhere and blows him up - that's basically bringing a dirt bike to a monster truck race, or a motorcycle to a bicycle race. If you can't understand how that makes you an asshole, that's your fault.
No one is saying you don't have a right to fight back if a groups of people suddenly attack you for no reason whatsoever, following you around the map until you leave or go passive (which I highly doubt it happens to you for no reason)
-Words-
The Hydra in of itself is just that, a jet with many uses, may it be fast travel, high damage dealer or just a deterrence for others that they don't fuck with you or your gang.
Still, a fraction of the people use the hydra to do massive amounts of damage,
And that leaves a bad image, even if you personally do no harm to others.
And because it is used that way so prominently, you aren't convincing anybody who had countless encounters with
assholes in hydras that hydras are not for assholes, so for every story where you just defended yourself or whatever,
they have a story where they got fucked with by a single player.
You are without a doubt not one of those hydra-holes, unlike other posters who just disregard your opinion entirely.
It is right at that you can use it as fit, it is within the mechanics of freemode, but that doesn't shield you from being cursed for doing so, I am certainly not discouraged from using it just because of some insults,
I didn't spend 3 mil just for an entry in the Pegasus list.
Doesn't mean you have to be an asshole about it and annoy others,
just use it sparingly and in a meaningful way and most people here could give less of a shit.
Just don't force your viewpoint onto others, you see how that worked out.
So many pages of drama over hydra grief, meanwhile I will literally lose the determination to kill a bounty as I approach them. I just think that they're having fun by themselves and they've probably already forgotten that their life is worth money to the other players.
This of course usually results in me diverting course and driving past them, only for them to realise my presence and start shooting. So really I'm just losing the drop on people because I'm too nice.
One time I drove to kill a nearby CEO with a bounty, but he was hanging out with someone and I didn't want to spoil that so I drove on. They blew up my car, so I pursued; killed them both with a sticky bomb. It told me that I'd destroyed their cargo, and they instantly left the session. I thought to myself, "what have I become?!" then felt bad for a bit.
It's GTA. You can do whatever you want.
What the hell. I just learned from my friend that if you press insert while in a hydra, you go into a more precise aiming mode.
How long has that been in the game???
The latest addition to GTA Online seems to be a massive fucking memory leak. Admittedly, I only have eight gigs of RAM, but it's worked flawlessly for a hundred and ten hours of gameplay.
All of a sudden, the game is practically unplayable. Whenever I start up the game and go into free roam, my system nearly locks up due to a ~6 GB memory leak. Even after quitting out of the game, the memory leak persists and won't resolve unless I restart my machine. Weirdly enough, the initial Bikers Update ran normally, so it must've been a minor update that fucked everything up.
