Repeat what? Making a really good singleplayer game with an online component of very arguable quality? Also, a different Rockstar team made Red Dead Redemption so it's probably not even being lead by the same people.
Grand Theft Auto V is a really good singleplayer game. I WILL fight you on that. It has problems, it's not perfect, but it's really good.

No, thanks, you can spare your fingers the work. I don't need another listing of stuff like "Trevor is actually a really deep character" or "The game's more realistic".
And to clear it up, I don't think SP was bad, just not exactly a blast to play through. The Witcher 3's quest about [sp] obtaining a fucking frying pan for an old woman[/sp] was more entertaining to do than 90% of anything story related in GTA V.

How about just "it's a fun story with a ton of fun missions to play and an open world that's fun to be in"?
In my opinion, of all the GTA games, GTAIV had the best singleplayer story, GTAV and GTA:SA are tied for the most enjoyable singleplayer gameplay, with SA's in particular still enjoyable to return to after all these years.
Vice City comes VERY close in the story contest though, for having excellent voice performances for the time and one of the best opening scenes in the series, second only to GTAV's hit-the-ground-running bank heist.

If we're considering expansions to be full games, then GTAIV and tBoGT are tied for best story.

I would put GTAV above SA in terms of enjoyability because SA still has a lot of those kind of "oh FUCK not THIS fucking mission" moments which GTAV doesn't really have.

"All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ"
I wish there would have been a reference to that mission in GTA V.
End of the line and the RC plane stuff (that they fixed on PC anyway) are the only things I can think of off the top of my head that I hate having to play through again.
Aside from that, most of the other missions make pretty good use of the wide variety of locales and vehicles on offer, and rarely took me more than two tries, even my first time through.

SA had some surprisingly good side content in particular. Some of the diversions were fun enough to justify booting the game up just to waste half an hour on them.

How about the train mission? How about all the "no fuck you your stats need to be at THIS level so fucking go and grind that shit for hours before you're allowed to make progress" parts? How about the "no you HAVE to date this girl up to a certain point to do this next mission" part? That's just at the top of my head and there's definitely more.
I remember getting stuck on the Ceasar Valpando mission or whatever the fuck he was called because I was a wee little lad and didn't know how to play videogames. Those were the times :v:
Trucker DLC when.
Trucker DLC when.
Yes. I want Los Santos Truck Simulator, please.
the single player's characters get fuckin irritating to listen to after the first few missions
I've suddenly fallen in love with that crown vic. Thing and really wish we got an update that let us either cop car or taxi the fuck out of those things.
Atleast the bull bars maan.
The prologue and the jewelry store heist were the high points for me in V's story. The further along I got, the less interested I became.
Well, I got all my online cash taken away. Guess I'm not playing this game anymore unless it's a FAPS session.
It's annoying how they've dealt with the online money; starting to penalize people now just feels like a lost cause. The prices for everything are still stupid high, and most people still playing have stupid amounts of money if they bothered to use exploits. I can't imagine trying to get into online as a new player, now. Even if you payed for Shark Cards you'd still have to grind a couple hours to afford anything fun.
I just really hope they don't mess up Red Dead Online as bad as they did GTAO, I don't want to pay £20 to buy Shark Gold Bars so I can unlock a faster horse and buy a dilapidated shed just inside town.
[editline]sadf[/editline]
I played San Andreas quite recently, and it honestly wasn't that bad. Maybe it's because I didn't remember much of it, but I didn't have any problems with any of the missions. The RC missions were pretty easy, too.
GTA V doesn't have any "this is hard, fuck this" missions, but it has plenty of "this is boring, fuck me" missions.
Man, part of me can't believe I've had the Franken Stange for almost a year now, or that it's a year old to begin with.
Or that next April I'll have played the game for two years.
Yes. I want Los Santos Truck Simulator, please.
There's actually a RAGE mod that does that, includes truck raids as well, as in bikers and tuner gangs try to raid you for your cargo, only tried it last year and it worked pretty well but no idea if it's still updated.

By The Book is boring as fuck. It was interesting at first but every play through after that it just felt like "le edgy satirical torture xD". Good thing there is a glitch to skip the mission right after the 2nd character switch.
I've said it before. GTA V gets boring after the 3rd replay. Missions don't let you take different approaches (except by some missions and side-missions) and cutscenes/scripted events take a fuckton of time.
Yeah, that's part of the lowrider stuff they added last year. What platform are you on? If you're on PS4, I can help you out.
On PS4, was in the official FP gang, but got booted, obviously for inactivity. (I reapplied though, loved random shit with you guys)
I have this sneaking suspicion that RDR2's multiplayer will be just the goddamn same.
If RDO has a Shark Card equivalent I'll play it for a few hours, and stop myself so I don't get invested in it before it turns into absolute trash.

FTFY
I still haven't completed it on PC because I already beat it on PS3 and there's no reason to
So is the Vortex any good? I was hoping to use that 250k bonus to get it.
I wouldn't blame Rockstar for these decisions as it's very likely Take Two who is doing this.
So uh, not sure if I'm late on this, but...

The Dubsta 6x6 has been temporarily unlocked for all players, regardless of level

Happy anniversary to you too, GTA Online. What a ride the past year and a half has been.
So I'm considering getting back into GTA Online--how often do you guys play as a group? Is there a weekly session?
So I'm considering getting back into GTA Online--how often do you guys play as a group? Is there a weekly session?
There's always a few on at any given time, granted it tends to be more europeans than americans, but every so often we have bi-weekly-ish events, one is on this weekend
wow I wish I could afford one.
Also imo in terms of gta games:
Best gameplay: GTA V, SA a close second
Best Story: GTA IV, with VCS being a close second
Best AESTHETICS: GTA VC/VCS, with LCS coming second (there something about LCS that I really like and I can't really put my finger on it)

Cool, I'll redownload it and see what's up.

From what I've heard, it's basically an expensive Akuma.
Pretty new player to GTA Online, is there a decent way to earn money? Lately I just been selling gang cars for an okay amount of cash and doing a few missions here and there.
