It's bad enough if you start in Paleto, and having to drive to the city... :glare:
Sorry. :excited:
I defenitely regret not saving up to set up my MC in the city. Holy shit having everything set up in Paleto sucks ass.
Man, fuck that one sell mission where you have to drive delivery trucks around and deliver packages to mailboxes. The idea is cool, but it's soooo tedious, even with a group.
I hate the duffel bag one more. It's literally just the leader has to do shit by himself for 20 minutes or so.

Only reason I set mine up in Paleto is because I dont own anything outside the city.
The racist races 3 video's done.
It might sound loud to some so you might want to lower your volume before watching.

I put mine in sandy shores because having the mc in the desert is just cooler
huge mistake
Rockstar keeps trying to make us spread out and explore more of the map by making more property available out there, but then they space out and forget what they're doing long enough to set missions almost exclusively in the LS area.
I put mine in the city because it's easier to drive from the city into the county, than drive from the county into the city.
Driving stuff into the city is a pain in the Dick given that you need to avoid driving too close to other players. When you deliver stuff to the desert you rarely have to deal with Kurumas or Insurgents because that's not their natural habitat.
Granted, theres a certain dread when it comes to going to Pub City when theres more than 6 players on, technically anything involving money in pub city does.
The entire reason why I got a house up in Paleto was so I'd have a place to spawn where douchebags won't instagib me ten steps from my front door.
And for that, it's pretty nice. Plus I'm one of those incredibly weird people who enjoys the long commute back to LS. There's something so soothing about highway driving in this game, I've never been able to put my finger on it
While I grant that it's the problem of the other players being opportunistic bloodhounds, you could enable passive mode for a bit when transferring cars from one place to another or whatever it is you're doing.
Yeah but going into passive at the start of a session prevents you from setting your weapons to where you want them and/or participating in whatever event is going on.
Having a distant spawn lets me do both on the way there without being harassed in the process.

You're not weird.
The core mechanic that makes GTA unique is the driving. It's relaxing, fun and gives a noticeable amount of control for the player.
Most, if not all GTA games have you driving from point A to point B all time, so good driving mechanics are important so you don't get tired or bored.
If there is one reason to pick GTA over any other game in its genre, it's the driving
GTA is definitely a much stronger driving game than anything else it has to offer.
There's a reason why it draws in so much of an overlap from the racing game community, because it has both good physics and a jaw-droppingly huge and varied car and class selection, complete with car, character, even track customization, letting you make tracks however you like in any part of the huge map that you want. No actual racing games offer anywhere close to the amount of racing-oriented freedom that GTA Online does, and that's astonishing.
I just live near the airport so I can steal a plane to go anywhere fast :v:
I have all of my biker businesses in elysian island, so I can easily access the helicopter on the dock at that Merryweather outpost.

Yeah but car customisation leaves some things to be desired, especially given how uneven the customisation is between cars. With Benny's vehicles you can get quite unique looking cars but then with others you only have like 2 options (looking at you Rat Rod). I don't know why other sports cars never got the treatment the Banshee and Sultan got, especially with the demand. I'd kill to have that kind of customisation on my Elegy, hell, some modders have already made beefed up in-universe cars.

(the blue mitsubishi thing is an OC mod, ignore that)
The Stunt race creator would be better if there were more prop options and if the editor itself wasn't so fucky to work on. Prop limits is total horseshit aswell. The editors in general have some really fuckin dumb restrictions. Sure it doesn't need to be Trackmania tier but it could at least be better than the fuckin mess it exists as today.
Honestly while racing in V is actually pretty good there's shit that needs to be changed, like letting players remove the class restriction on races, so you can do fun things like Muscle VS Sports. There's also the completely stupid thing with allowing you to use any of your custom vehicles even if you set customs on in a race with car restrictions, so you have to resort to driving boring and slower stock versions if you want to keep the car restriction on. Some things are missing too... like actual drifting and manual transmission...
Fair enough, but then you remember that this is the only game where you can make a moped-only race which involves jumping from rooftop to rooftop through flaming hoops, where the loser of every lap violently explodes.
It's easy to forget just how much variety GTAO's creator offers from an objective standpoint, just how different two custom races can be.

Yet all I can find is those insane jumping corses where one guy gets out to pick up a rocket launcher and kills you over and over for an hour so he gets a gorillion dolleridoos.

I'd recommend filtering out user-created jobs if you're using quick job to find games. Most user created stuff is either for boosting, advertising shitty Youtube channels, or simply just shit.

I've done that, but I want to play the good user-made ones but I don't know how.
I like to think that between the events of GTA Online and story mode, martial law was declared, and the army wiped out all of the online characters. That's why you don't see them in single player, and there's more NPCs walking around. Los Santos became a safer place.
[sp]well, until the three main characters started fucking shit up[/sp]
I still think it'd be a fun little feature if occasionally in singleplayer, you'd see someone's GTA Online character milling about in place of one of the NPCs. Maybe driving one of the cars they actually own, with mods and everything. They'd be hostile if fired upon or carjacked, and when killed, will never reappear again in the future.
Would be both an amusing novelty and a good way to firmly establish the fact the two are linked.
Sorry. :excited:
How Canadian of you :v:
Honestly though, selling my monopoly money twice and getting trash truck suuuucckkkssss.

80% of them would be edgy looking Jokers or over tattooed Waifus in bikinis.
Imagine how shitty would it be for people who have the bulletproof helmet and only drive the Insurgent.

They have to be driving in reverse all the time though, to add to the shitter stereotype
Since buying a Shotaro, I have encountered three very distinct types of people: Ones who don't care, ones who want to try it out, and ones who try to grief me for having it.
