So, essentially. If you have not been banned before, the chances of being banned while innocent is very low, while if you were banned before it is very high?
Yeah basically.
Do you have pics of the unobtainable weapon skin?
For this exact reason I always port block before i even start the game. I don't even risk regular pubs anymore.
Yeah basically.
Well that is reassuring. Les so knowing that my friend who got banned basically just got the game, but, it is reasuring none-the less. I just wish rockstar would stop with the dumb "one ban means full account wipe" business. It makes the risk not worth it at all.
The thing that still pisses me off the most about their new ban policy is that they made it so you can't appeal your ban three fucking months after their anti-cheat banned a bunch of innocent people on PC who were running certain programs.
The part that absolutely fucking boggles my mind is that they're still doing instabans for money drops when they fucking KNOW that asshats are abusing it to get people banned. Meanwhile the shitwads with trainers are getting away scott free.

So that's nice.
I don't even risk regular pubs anymore.
Same here, I pretty much stopped playing in public sessions after Rockstar rolled out their new ban system. I can't trust the average GTA player since many of them are blatantly malicious, and I've already been banned once before. Even though it was prior to their new policy, I'd imagine a second ban would now result in a perma for me. I only play with my friends and some wierd ass crew named.. FAPS? They are known for their family trips. Did you guys ever heard of them?
Rockstar never owns up to their mistakes. They just stay on their high horse, like "LALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU! WE'RE THE BEST COMPANY EVER!"
...
Hey I'm not saying there aren't totally bullshit things that will complicate solo work, but it's definitely still possible, as you said just need the concentration and a lot of patience. I was really speaking from personal experience, since for a majority of my Online time, I have played solo, and still do whenever I don't have my friend with me. I started out small, and now I've got millions and could afford everything I want, and I've never been tempted to get shark cards or rely on cheaters. The inconvenient stuff will never stop in certain missions, but after doing solo long enough, you learn tricks and shortcuts to make it as easy as the game will allow. Some people who try to jump into it will naturally have a harder time. I mean, shit, with the buzzard thing, I find it's just easier to keep on flying than get out and attack them. One time I got out to attack them and I ended up damaging the car trying to pick it back up with the cargobob. Seems like I'd rather just risk flying with the buzzard fire than fighting them even if they damage the car a little.
Yeah basically.
then fuck playing online after getting a ban, then I'll just run past some random player the wrong way and get reported for that.
So... I've been hearing a lot of "my friend got banned" regarding this past few days, from several different sources. Has anyone IN THIS THREAD actually been banned in this wave?
So... I've been hearing a lot of "my friend got banned" regarding this past few days, from several different sources. [editline]21st December 2016[/editline] and probably the +20000 other people who used it
I'm more asking if anyone in this thread has been banned because another player used exploits on them within the past week or so. IE, dropping money on them or blaming them for destroying infinite personal vehicles or whatever.
then fuck playing online after getting a ban, then I'll just run past some random player the wrong way and get reported for that.
I wouldn't blame you considering after a ban you'll have every progress in Online wiped completely
Can't wait for the Comet Classic, already know how I want it to look like. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uNxaFqC.jpg[/t]
So question about the ban system. Could I redeem my account if I record myself playing, and send the footage if an asshole hacker drops shit on me and gets me banned or is the system really that flawed that even evidence of my innocence will go ignored?
The new Progen is fucking ugly, what the hell did they do to the profile? [t]http://i.imgur.com/r92XrW9.jpg[/t] It looks like a Pixar car.

Support is run by robots. You could write a whole book explaining why you were wrongfully banned, and still get the same automated response.
Does anyone else find the retro Elegy easier to drift than other cars?
Elegy Retro is neat but I want that Comet. I have a model on my shelf that looks JUST like it.
[editline]21st December 2016[/editline] So all the unreleased vehicles are about mid tier in each of their classes. [editline]21st December 2016[/editline] The italia is the 10th fastest super.
It'll probably be ignored. Support is run by robots. Yes I know there's probably a thing in the Terms Of Service that allows them to reset accounts for any reason whatsoever, but jesus christ that's just terrible shit.
It's amazing how a fast a developer can go from being one of my favourite developers to one of my most hated.

[editline]21st December 2016[/editline] The italia is the 10th fastest super.
Wow, that's really disappointing.
Full account reset, oh well. First time offense too. Wanted to play with the new toys, haven't done anything besides drive around freeroam for like a year anyways, maybe this will get me to try out the new gamemodes/missions they've added.
Recently picked up the PC version on a sale after not having played since PS3. God, I forgot how much of a fucking slog levelling in Online is. Featured adversary modes are one of the only ways to gain a single level in less than several hours, and I've had more than enough of every single round of Kill Quota being ten minutes of blind-fire RPG sniping from across the map for one lifetime. And that's not even counting the tedium of raising your character's actual skills, if you happen to want your reloads to not take five seconds or you want aircraft to be even remotely controllable. To say nothing of how much of a pain in the ass it is to get money, of course.
Wow, that's really disappointing.
If nothing else, I find it comforting that I don't have to save for some unreleased TOP car and can start collecting muscle cars again. Last few updates pretty much drained me without any easier means to make the dosh necessary for some of the vehicles so I had to sell most of my collections to afford anything new.
