Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V11 - SERIOUS RP ONLY

The Insurgent has no bullet resistance on its windows, but its virtually impossible to be shot from behind, and it's so elevated that people in low cars have a difficult time hitting you that high up. And it has incredible explosive resistance, it takes a substantial amount of explosive damage, several stickies, to actually take it out. It just ignores tank shots. The durability isn't comparable to a rhino because it is far more durable than a Rhino, and I'm not exaggerating, the Rhino will go down before the Insurgent. The mass for it is crazy as well, making it almost impossible to stop once it gets going. Before the special vehicles with plows were added, it was the best at ramming barricades.
And yeah, if you destroy someone else's vehicle, you are automatically charged the cost to replace it, the vehicle's owner pays nothing.
Insurgent
- Fast
- Heavy
- No way to shoot out the driver or any of it's passengers
- Takes 20-25 seconds of constant minigun fire to the engine to destroy
- Takes ~3-4 stickies to destroy
- Can come with a mounted turret
🤔
You can shoot the driver and passengers, just not if you're in a low vehicle up close or behind it. Windows are not bullet proof on the Insurgent at all, not even like the new armored vehicles that do bullet proof sensibly.
Insurgent drivers are easily killable actually. Mostly because I play on Xbox with assisted aim, but nonetheless, still easier than Kuruma drivers unless you blow them up.
The only time I had trouble on an insurgent it was when 2 hydras were attacking me with the machinegun. The thing is that a lot of players dont know how to kill you when youre inside one. They just shoot a RPG at you and type "WTF" while you just turn around and annihilate them :v:

minigun to the windshield is faster

Is it because you'll kill the driver, or are you speaking in general damage?
Because I swear I've observed that at least with mounted miniguns like on the limo, shooting the windows of vehicles does more damage to the vehicle than actually shooting the engine or gas tank for some odd reason. It could just be my imagination.
referring to killing the driver.

The amount of times I've been called a hacker due to them knowing about the Insurgent's explosion resistance.
Insurgents are fun, mainly because people usually don't mess with you when you're driving it. Also when some dick is killing everyone in a Hydra or something, you usually can get away quick. It's even more fun when you are driving around in circles and the missiles can't hit you.

This must be the feeling when a console gamer plays GTA for the first time on PC.
IMO Maurice Chavez on Pressing Issues in GTA:VC was the best radio station.
"I'm Maurice Chavez the multi-award-winning, and soon to be executed host of Pressing Issues!"

I just had 205k involuntarily dropped on me. Should I be worried?
I've had about the same dropped on me and I've never been banned.
Am i the only one who still plays SA from time to time?
I still play the GTA Underground total conversation mod and it seems to be getting neat updates for its next release. Also the modding community for San Andreas is surprisingly alive and kicking until today

I've been playing GTA:SA these past few days, and I turned off the frame limiter, how did I manage to play the game with the limiter on as a kid is beyond me. Granted there are a few bugs that have happened to me due to turning off the frame limiter, Like in the home invasion mission, CJ broke his back when he picked up a box, since it counted as lethal fall damage, and then again in that one Woozie mission where you attack a freighter ship with the minigun, climbing up the containers resulted in broken back syndrome again (and it was repeatable, unlike home invasion), swimming is slower than a turtle, and free falling with a parachute, well just hold either A or D and you'll spin fast as fuck.
10/10 experience, would continue playing with frame limiter off
Is buying an office and becoming a CEO worth it money wise?

My experience with SA without the frame limiter was the complete lack of the ability to strafe while aiming. Which basically meant I couldn't play the game at all.

"I need to make the game darker. So dark infact that people will believe they're living in the year without summer. It needs to be so dark that even a nuclear winter would be a tanning booth compared to how dark it's going to be."

I've been thinking about starting a new game of SA for a little while now, but I haven't found the right mods to use to make it more interesting yet. I haven't read too much about GTA Underground, does it add more activities or is it just adding the cities from previous games?

AFAIK, if you get money dropped on you, you either get banned straight away, or never.

admittedly my reshade could be refitted to look as best as possible for winter weather versus sunny L.A. but i like the gritty super high-contrast look, makes it feel like a 70s grindhouse movie or some shit. maybe i just don't look into it far enough
