The radio stations in GTA 2 were fucking weird. Funami FM especially.
I decided to boot up GTA 2 on my smartphone the other day and it has some really weird stuff in general. Like the loonie gang, a bunch of mentally ill elderly people residing in a psychiatric hospital who have the player commit random terrorist attacks as missions. Also, one of the first missions is about a zaibatsu radio frequency turning everyone into violent psychopaths, which basically turns the city into a zombie apocalypse until you destroy the radio tower.
I've been thinking about starting a new game of SA for a little while now, but I haven't found the right mods to use to make it more interesting yet. I haven't read too much about GTA Underground, does it add more activities or is it just adding the cities from previous games?
The current version has VC and LC along with some leftovers from carcer city and a buggy Bullworth. So far LC and VC both have their own vehicles, gangs and weapons without replacing original SA content, so you can do sub missions (taxi, police etc), take over gang territories and free roam mostly. Im still discovering new shit from time to time like some of the new vehicles can be modified
If we're still kinda talking about radio stations, I feel like Vice City and San Andreas had some of the most memorable stations in the entire series. I know the lyrics for MOST of the K-Rose and K-DST songs. But I can't even name a single track from GTA V or IV.
Vladivostok had some pretty good tracks in IV, favourite being Gruppa Krovi. And some of the other radio stations were pretty good as well, but in GTA V it seems like 3 radio stations are good and the others are just alright aside from Channel X.
I've grown to absolutely despise Channel X. Every time I join a mission lobby, I hear "THEY'RE FUCKIN WITH ME SUBLIMINALLYYYYYYYYYYYY"
Channel X has some good songs & is one of my favourites but there's something about online that just makes it play that particular song way too much VBR has it too I'm sure, 90% of the time I switch over and it's just "Fire doesn't burn itself.... fire doesn't burn itself...". Again, annoying because VBR is my favourite station.

I was talking about this song from VBR my dude
Snowy day in MD...Anyone want to do some heists?
I wish all the super cars were faster. Stunt races just feel so underwhelming. I want F-Zero levels of speed.

The radio stations have always seemed a million times more repetitive in online.
Yesterday I met a modder who turned the street I was on into what I can only describe as a carousel of flaming, dancing people and exploding cars inside of a gondola.
Best song.
My favorite station would probably be the Journey from GTA IV, It reminds me a lot of the music I heard on the radio when I was working a night job.
Everytime I hear AMOEBA I start to purposelly drive like shit while performing low effort stunts and yelling AMOEBAAAAAA! AAAHHHHH! at the screen and then I try to crash into a wall just to yell it slower while moaning each time like this Amoebaaaaa Ah oh Amoebaaa oh Amoebaaa oh oh
I'm really into punk and Channel X has some really good songs on it. I actually went to a punk festival to see The Adolescents because of it. I Ended up meeting Tony Cadena, the singer for the band. We talked about Mental health and I told him I really got into them cause of GTA V, even managed to get a picture with him. It was so rad.
I like how I've modded my game so much, whenever I go into story as Franklin I automatically have a wanted level. I don't even know what's causing it.
I like how I've modded my game so much, whenever I go into story as Franklin I automatically have a wanted level. I don't even know what's causing it.
you modded it to be too realistic, you madman

There's a relationships menu where you can set who hates who. Setting male AI to hate other male AI means that people literally dive out of their cars on the highway when they see each other just to fight, it's fucking hilarious.

so the other day I had the urge to work on my editing skills I went from this last year (granted there are a couple shots i like in it but overall its p badly edited, too long for starters) to this (i used a different take and its really meant to be a test, pretty proud of 33 seconds on though)
I wonder if I'm the only one, but does anybody else kind of dislike the way most people play Pacific Standard? I mean, when I played it with my friends, we had heard about the ever popular tactic of getting an armored kuruma to protect everyone at the end, but we couldn't get it to work, so we ended up just taking an enforcer and making a B-line for the boat. We were still protected, but it was still intense getting there with several flat tires, and the police on our ass at the boat. The lectro is a pretty shit bike, but after playing Pacific Standard with random players a few times, I honestly can't stand the heist with the kuruma method now. I think I'd rather take the lectro, learn the route and lose several ten thousand. Everybody plays it like a business all the way through, and I know heists are primarily about their money, but it just seems like it's a heist with such little wiggle room whenever you play it with people who REALLY do it for the money. Other heists don't quite feel that way. I don't know, maybe it's just the armored kuruma I have a problem with. The method in particular feels a little too much like an exploit for my liking, but it's moreso that the armored kuruma already trivializes a lot of setups to the point where it makes it a snoozefest. It's safe and efficient sure, but there are times when I'd rather just take a good old regular sedan and blast through a setup, or just go on foot. The AI can be a real cheating asshole sometimes, but I think that vulnerability is what makes it all satisfying in the end when you come out on top without resorting to an impenetrable fortress.
Just re-played GTA III after a long time. Game is still super fun and looks good modded though some screen are a bit blurry due to 'Trails' being enabled in the options. Armored car Robbing one of the biggest banks? Little bikes
By the way if anyone else wants to replay GTA3 I'd recommend to instead play it using that mod for Vice City that ports the entirety of GTA3 to it. It has the map and all the content and missions recreated pretty much perfectly and you get all the new additions that Vice City added to the engine. You can then even use script addon mods for VC that can do stuff like give you mouse look in cars or allow you to move and shoot with every gun.
Can you give me the names of the mods you mentioned? That's mad that people had been working on GTA:Liberty City for so long. I remember playing what must've been an early version. Probably over 10 years ago. The modding community for Vice City was really strong, there was loads of total conversions released, not sure how many were ever properly finished. I missed GTASA on the PC, and didn't own a copy until it was past its prime and it never seemed as stable as Vice City with regards to modding it. It's kinda sad that alot of that content is now lost and forgotten
Robbing a small bank? Armored car Robbing one of the biggest banks? Little bikes
I remember someone in this one session had a garage right by where the little bikes were so we hopped into a Kuruma instead of getting slaughtered on the bikes.
