Honestly if you ask me, the [sp]"But it was I, Satan!"[/sp] twists really cheapened the plots of 4 and 5. And that's before I get into Persona 3's laughable [sp]"Humanity's collective will to Die"[/sp] garbage.
We need more JRPGs like Valkyria Chronicles which just embrace the idea of evil [sp]that is top-to-bottom purely human and mundane in nature, rather than pulling a "Yokai, that's why!" at the end.[/sp]
can you really say you've formed a bond with someone if you haven't [sp]SLAIN GOD[/sp] together though?

But in P5 [sp] you're Satan/Lucifer[/sp]
Btw, I notice something about the Persona 2 games:
I don't think I ever see the design the enemies have in other SMT games. I would love to see a 3D make-over of those enemies in a future title.
For example I want see this one among other things:

how bad is it to be underleveled?
i'm at the end of the sixth palace and i'm level 52, the online thieves guild thing says that the average level is 61. i just play normally and don't really try grinding.

I guess at that point, the most users [and me] used a method to grid the Reapers inside the Mementos.
Killing 3 of them got my character to level 77 easily.

That palace's boss isn't that scary and you'll be fighting lots of shadows until then, you'll reach your later 50s in no time
Pro tip: [sp]Get a persona that repels Phys[/sp]
I've been way too busy with Photoshop.
Enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I'll play Persona 3 FES on the PS3 at some point, but I like to play on-the-go for now.
I am playing P4 Arena Ultimax right now. I'm considering picking up P4 Arena just to know the story beforehand.
That being said, there need to be more Persona ports on handheld or the Switch.
Honestly he exaggerates P3P being bad a lot. It has its flaws but its not nearly as detrimental to the experience as that. Presentation is different and inferior in some respects due to hardware limitations (Still dont understand why they only could have a video for the intro but none of the animated segments, even the ones without FemMC) but it's largely the same game.
Just have fun with it.
[editline]17th July 2017[/editline]
Aigis is best. Yukari goes downhill in The Answer but you won't get to experience that because you're playing the awful P3P.
God tier is Elizabeth but you're going to miss out on her scenes
Just let people have fun for cryin out loud
Also you can still have Elizabeth in FemMC route with all the same scenes
Unless you can't stand the friendly AI in FES there's no point on playing the Portable version aside from trying out the female campaign and the Margaret sidequest.
But that's it. You also lose the 3D cutscenes and the animated ones but they are replaced with the VN so you don't actually lose anything aside from fluff. It's a different experience.
And the answer [sp]but the answer has the worst story in Persona history[/sp]
Though I'm a Persona 3 Portable fuckboi so I'm just a biased cunt

In general I still think FES is the better experience, like I'm not denying that part, but P3P is pretty much just the same game but with a more VN style format as you said. I can understand taking issue with some of the FemMC stuff since a lot of her stuff could be argued to conflict with the main game, but it's still a really fun way to play P3 again, since otherwise you can get kinda burnt out seeing the exact same things again. And considering most of the series has a portable equivalent sans 5 and the arena games, there's not really much problem playing it if you just prefer it that way.
I just think it's a gross exaggeration to act like it takes away everything from the game when it's really the same just with some different presentation. The only thing you directly miss out on is The Answer which a lot of people hated anyway. It's also kinda ludicrous and shit to tell someone who's already pretty deep into the portable version, who's enjoying it mind you, and go "NO YOU HAVE TO DROP IT AND PLAY FES RIGHT NOW!!" Like that's unbelievably impractical.
P3P has the best gamewise since they added Direct commands
But P3:FES still is my preferred version since it feels the most complete, pretty much just because of it's visuals and that i feel better actually walking around the School and area's rather than interact with it like in Portable
Just a shame that unlike P4, there's no real definitive P3 experience
I feel that all in all P3P ruins the ending.
And thats enough for me to stick by FES and only FES. People can pick what they want but thats my standpoint.
Still dont understand why they only could have a video for the intro but none of the animated segments, even the ones without FemMC
I'm guessing it's because of size limitations.

What, how? Presentation aside
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this.
I bought a Armored Aigis figma at the Good Smiles booth at Anime Expo.
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DE-aMOfVoAAl65o.jpg[/t]
I can't wait for the Morgana nendoroid to come out. I like him way more than Teddy. Have yet to encounter the albino Shiba Inu in P3P though.
He doesn't really do anything, i'd say Aigis is the mascot of P3.
[sp]Well besides that one thing[/sp]
I do like that the P3P allows you to [sp]hang out with your love interest one last time.[/sp]
[sp]So does FES if you have good taste.[/sp]

Awesome buy! I'd love to get an Aegis figma, but at the same time, kind of don't care for the gen 1 figmas' hands.
I'm also hype for the Morgana Nendoroid. Fingers crossed for some more P5 Nendoroids/figmas. [sp]super fingers cross for Makoto bae[/sp]
I am in the final Dungeon of Persona 5......
I didn't reached the ending yet, but
[sp]Is this whole adventure a Prequel the other Persona games? Is this game will explain why Philemon was absent in the recent games?[/sp]
Edit:
Now I think of it, is not possible. I just remembered some "hints" you read when you check at some point the TV.

This game takes place after 4.
This game takes place after 4.
I thought much
[sp]I remember at TV I read a part of a detective questioning a suspect who killed a man a putting him above a telephone pole[/sp]
Obviously a Persona 4 reference.
I'm probably just used to P4 and P5's time limit mechanic, but the Tartarus is kind of...eh.
It reminds me a lot of P5's mementos where it's mandatory to get to the end of the tower/tunnel.[/sp]
Mementos is pretty much P5's Tartarus
But unlike Tartarus it isn't terribly lengthy
I still find it hard to play FES because i regularily end up on a floor with shadows that stomp on my team because of level, but all the other floors it takes a ridicolously long time to level
I really have been preferring having a set time limit with a specific dungeon, cause then you at least are at the correct level
Finally got around to finishing P5. It was pretty good. There's still nothing in the way of character drama that even comes close to P3 which was my biggest complaint about P4 but it was still great. Rankings are officially P3>P2EP>P2IS>P5>P4>P1. If you disagree you're wrong.

I do wish they would remaster P3 FES for other systems, like the Vita or Switch. Maybe have the remaster also contain elements from P3P, like the female MC and party commands.
I have always planned to play P3 FES on my PS3 once I finish up P3P, read its mangas, and watch the films. I do need to find a good site to find a way to watch the films though.
[editline]18th July 2017[/editline]
It's probably that since the lack of a cutscene ruins the emotional impact.
I do like that the P3P allows you to [sp]hang out with your love interest one last time.[/sp]
That's actually bad though. [Sp]you get to see all of them one last time throughout the week leading up to your death but dying in Aigis' lap is important since she is the Alpha and the Omega. She was there for the beginning and the end. Plus this sets up the drama of The Answer[/sp]
The movies are pretty bad and the Manga has some alright parts but the writer was a big Yukari fan so she gets shoehorned into scenes. Sorta-like Aigis in the movies

Philemon isn't Absent in P3 or P4 you see his butterfly in P3 and he's a save point in P4.
You can tell it takes place after P4 because they talk about Naoto being the last Detective Prince and the TV talks about Yukari bring Featherman Pink

P4>P3>P5 [so far because I didn't yet finished it]
Worth my time to play P1 and P2?

I guess the old games couldn't predict this, but yeah, you have a point.
I still think Persona 1 has horribly aged
Persona 2 is still pretty good though

I'd wait till after August 2nd to play P1 and P2. Last year Atlus did a survey to gauge if they should remake them in 3D and August 2nd is some big Persona news
P1 is a slog to get through but it's worth it to see where it all started. P3 references it too and P2 is good except we only have the definitive version of Innocent Sin and not Eternal Punishment

I understand your perspective but I don't entirely agree with it.
The stuff with Aigis is a nice bit of work in the writing, but it clashes horribly with the intended consequences of the social link / romance stuff. Yukari was originally going to be the only real love interest, and you can tell they didn't change enough of the writing to compensate for them opening up your protag's romantic options (The beach scene and the love hotel scene, for example). This lead to a lot of people feeling kinda cheated with that ending, despite its purpose. P3P aligns a lot closer with how I think it should have all been implemented, it's just a shame it sorta couldn't improve on the core due to the limitations of the system as well as the fact it's a rerelease that can't change that many details.
I also think the movies did as good a job as they could, it's just kinda the issue you have in general with adapting these massive games into animes is that there's just not enough time to do everything justice. Good to watch if you've already played the games though imo.

Persona 1 has a really good story but it's hampered horribly by very clunky and slow gameplay, even in the PSP release with the fast mode enabled. Pretty much everything except the fusion system, Persona 2 ended up doing much better. P2 still has some datedness but it's a lot more fun when you get your head around it while P1 is still always kind of a slog.
If you can check them both out I recommend doing so, but if you aren't enjoying 1 you can feel free to skip right to 2.
