I'm not expecting much animation-wise from A-1 but I hope they get some nice art-direction going on and pull off some beautiful shots like in the teaser trailer.
Especially since it's A-1

When I said beautiful, I guess I meant that in terms of what I've come to expect from traditional animation in the Persona series.
The movement was still stiff and limited in places, but the pacing and shot compositions were fine, and so was the line work.
Most of the action scenes were well done, as well. [sp]The escape from Kamoshida's crumbling Palace[/sp]is a highlight for sure.
I still vastly prefer all of the cutscenes that were done in-engine, though. The awakening scenes in particular.
The in-game animation was done by Production IG, was it not?

I agree. As shocking as this may sound, the amount of Makoto-Ass in my face is a little too much. I'd prefer a more modest, or even better, more bad ass pose than "check out my glorious Queenly backside!"

Except Ann is not riding a motorcycle, she's on the move with the whip etc and of course it's similar to her victory screen.
I honestly don't see what the problem is. Makoto's pose is a super stylized one just like how stylized the game is. If you want to complain about over sexualized then you should also complain about Ann's which isn't even bad either

Except Ann's over sexualized pose is part of her. Like her whole persona? You know whipping enemies and screaming "Squeal to me"? Makoto is nothing like that, that's why people are not happy :v:
Yeah but the point of a figure is to having something to look at hence the stylized pose showing off her body. Otherwise it'd be a boring statue.

i know it's a joke but there are many standard poses that doesn't make it boring at all and Makoto has good material.
But whatever, i'd buy Futaba's, i like that the most.

Stylized doesn't mean sexy, Makoto isn't sexualized or portrayed as flashy so people are angry. Ann is different because while she doesn't use her sex appeal all the time, she is a character that has good looks and her Phantom Thieves costume is what it is.
They could have just as easily used an action pose for Makoto or even used her pose when she's attacking with her Persona. (The jojo hand over face thing)
