Megami Tensei Series [Spoilers Inside] - Arrested for Youtube crimes - Games

I really hope there isn't too much of a graphical difference between P5 for the PS3 and PS4.

I'd be more than happy with some AA, 1080p and 60fps to be honest.

The footage shown is also pretty similar to Catherine on PS3 so unless they fuck that up it should be fine.

So with the New 3DS's release on Friday, I have enough spare cash to get a game alongside the system. I'm torn between Persona Q, and SMT IV. Which would you guys recommend?

When it first came out it was a different story. PS4 is just a lot easier to develop on from the start.

PersonaQ will probably be full price for a while. just get IV when it's cheap, and PersonaQ at the current price if you really want to. canada gets america's deals, right?

So they most likely won't have to do any special work for the PS3 version, while they'll need to port Catherine's version of Gamebryo to the PS4 (Which admittedly probably won't take much work since the PS4 is easy to develop for).

Catherine's engine was Gamebryo. P5's engine is an in-house engine for Atlus.

They have Catherine and the Gamebryo engine to refer to for the PS3, but it seems like it'd be so much easier to create higher-definition assets and content via the PS4 that is easier to work with for their new engine, and then downport it all to the PS3 once everything's really going. And since there's no 360 and XB1 ports too, that helps narrow down the possible porting problems to either a lack of effort, or the system itself.

Taking a quick peek online, Gamestop has SMT IV at $20, and EB has it for $55. Stupid America and having better prices on games. Ah well, so it's essentially pick up whichever is cheaper at the time. Looking at the 3DS EShop page for Soul Hackers, it seems like it takes up more space on an SD card than SMTIV... It's a dreamcast game. Hooow?! It would've fit on my SD card if it were the same size as or smaller than SMTIV, too.

Also the soundtrack is marvelous.

God DAMN I got super lucky on the level 98 boss. Those fuckers wouldn't stop spamming mabufudyne skills or whatever followed up by a skill that got rid of my ice defense, but they miraculously didn't do it. The entire fight was Aigis and I doing kill rush while Mitsuru healed.

I also don't think Shinji surviving would suddenly cause them to just regress, the event of him getting into a coma is still pretty damn shocking. I also think you take the non-canon route of FemMC a bit too seriously. While it doesn't entirely make sense, the stuff with Ryoji and Pharos I don't think are that big of a deal. Doesn't really make sense to have to shell out even more money for new voice actors and new art for them when the route's not gonna be considered canon anyway. The handful of flaws don't make the FemMC route not worth playing. Take it for what it is, it's cute and not meant to replace the actual story. [/sp] edit: [sp] another thing worth considering, if Ryoji already had that male body to start with, wouldn't he still stay male when Aigis seals him inside the protagonist? Thanatos in mythology is male, so it makes sense he'd stay that way.[/sp]

They are relatively cheap and you can change them pretty easily like catridges. That is what I did when I got SMT4 and my card was full.

I wonder why people even thought you'd turn into your persona to be honest, the clip made it clear that it was the protag's shadow transforming into a persona. Also, that shot of him summoning Arsene looks cool as hell.

I'm so glad that they took Catherine's "looks like a playable anime" style. It really gives life to the game. P3-P4 in that style would be mindblowing.
