Haha wow, I killed the October boss by reflecting a magarudyne with magic mirrors. Once I learned that you can exploit the boss by [sp]stopping roulette wheel on the negative part of the effect AFTER the one you want[/sp], you'll get a perfect every time. Didn't mess up once. [editline]12th February 2015[/editline] 10/4 persona 3 spoilers [sp]WOW WOW WOW FUCK. WOW. I'm crying my eyes out harder than I did at the end of MGS3 and TWD season 1, and that's after spoiling what happened. Fuck this game, seriously.[/sp]
Well, I've finished the Amami airport dungeon in Soul Hackers. This game tends to bring up some pretty mixed opinions, and while I will say that it's aged in a kind of wonky way, I haven't been having much trouble with it. Despite people talking about magnetite famine all the time, it seems like I'm consistently gaining more than I lose. And the loyalty system isn't that bad either. I dunno, maybe it gets harder once you get further in. Holy shit though the camp in this game. I love it. It's like all the crazy Internet hyperbole of the mid to late 90s shoved into a world where demons and shit exist. And Carol J. Carol J was totally a thing. Now that I'm playing this though, I'm actually finding myself surprised that there isn't more in the SMT library that's kinda "cyberpunk-esque" like Soul Hackers is, considering the series is always all up on the digital devilry and stuff. It would be neat if they came out with a modern game with a vibe kinda' more along the lines of soul hackers... Though updated a bit, of course.
Shin Megami Tensei 1 (which actually has an official translation on iOS devices of all things) is probably the closest to Soul Hackers with the whole cyberpunk aesthetic. SH is well aged like Back to the Future, it might've been legitimately good then but even if you don't like it now the narminess of it all is charming and makes it worth playing. I never found it too hard either. You can sell magnetite for mad cash as long as you leave enough for maintaining demons, loyalty can be cheated by just dumping gems on your demons or a quick farm (tell a demon to Go, they'll do whatever and like you more, takes a few minutes).

I'm glad you're enjoying it though, I'd love to see some more devil summoner games that play like it. Raidou's cool of course, but the more traditional feeling is also pretty awesome. Guess I'll have to try and find a fan translation or something, or maybe i'll borrow my mom's ipad

But just embrace the amazing mixture of all the quirks and unique setting. Soundtrack is so ace.
The fast combat is actually one of my favorite things about Soul Hackers and IV to an extent, but I can see how it'd be confusing if you don't actually know what all the spells do etc.
I'm so mad that they only released that SMT 1 translation on iOS, I really wanna get it and play it but I only own Windows and Android devices. Look that up before you emulate it.

Where'd you get that done? awesome
My Persona 5 Protagonist mask is finished and ready for shipping. Woo!
I might get one of these done myself, how much did it cost you?
Devil Survivor has some weird character aesthetics and it does look pretty odd, not even that great. But I find it strangely appealing for some reason. Also the soundtrack is amazing as well, these guys never disappoint with their music.
I'm really enjoying Shin Megami Tensei 1, it's aged surprisingly well. Gonna probably it a bunch till my N3DS gets here, then I'll work on the other SMT games I have to beat I really just need to sit down one of these days and focus on finishing just one instead of trying to try all of them like I've been doing
Have another P4DAN song! Pursuing My True Self remixed by Ryota Kozuka. Apparently this was featured on the second Persora - The Golden Best album. It's alright but personally I like DANCE! a lot more. Also, they launched the official Japanese website today, http://p-atlus.jp/p4d/
I really want to hear that Heaven remix
I just want to dance to Electronica in the Velvet Room and Specialist, baby.
Yesterday, my favorite headphones died on me, they were an ATH-EM700 Ti model, and apparently they are no longer being made, I am extremely bummed out about this.
Sucks that Nanako won't be fighting monsters but she is an important character in DAN. Hopefully she dances by herself in a different mode. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dABZQI6.jpg[/t] Same design, just wood coverings instead of metal.
I got my sexy Monster Hunter 4 new 3DS today, but I lost the DLC I bought for Persona Q, and since I was using the DLC, my entire save is messed up and I may have to start all over again :suicide: [editline]17th February 2015[/editline] Is there any change between difficulties in Persona Q? Like, do I get more/less exp at different difficulties? I might just start over on the lowest difficult to get back up to where I was, even though it'll probably still take a while.

Did it not get transferred over when you switched to your N3DS? If it loses it I'm kinda concerned cuz I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow and I would hate to have to redo EVERYTHING
How did you lose the DLC? Did it not get transferred over when you switched to your N3DS? If it loses it I'm kinda concerned cuz I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow and I would hate to have to redo EVERYTHING
I lost the DLC because my NNID isn't connected to my new 3DS, because I had to sell my old one to buy it. I called Nintendo today and it's going to take a few days for them to transfer my NNID to my new 3DS, and because of that, when I started up PQ - since I have a physical copy of it - I don't have the DLC because my NNID isn't attached yet. I also heard from someone in the 3DS thread that add-ons and DLC content doesn't get transferred over if you have to do it through Nintendo support, but I didn't hear anything about that when I was helped today on the phone, so I'm not sure if that's true all the time. [editline]17th February 2015[/editline] If you're doing a system transfer from a normal 3DS to a New 3DS that you have with you, I doubt there will be any issues.
Ahh okay I see. I should be okay then, I kept my old 3DS for the transfer. That really sucks though you lost your stuff :c maybe if you wait till your NNID gets switched you'll be able to keep playing?
some atlus games seem to be on sale on psn. 2 questions 1. how do I play ps3 games on vita 2. what version of P3 should I get.
1. Unless you mean RemotePlay, you can't really play PS3 games on Vita. If you're talkin about remoteplay though look it up, you can find out how to set it up that way. 2. Get P3 FES, it's the most complete version of the game. Get P3P after you beat FES if you feel like playing the Female Protagonist rotue
It's really too bad there's no definitive edition of P3. I would love to play the FeMC story with updated graphics based on the ps2 version.
PQ finally arrived in the mail~ Now to figure out how to name my dudes.
PQ finally arrived in the mail~ Now to figure out how to name my dudes.
Fuck Face1 and Fuck Face2
Speaking of Persona Q, are all the characters' personalities exaggerated by just a bit or are some of them just really strange? Chie never stops talking about meat, Akihiko always has to train, and Teddie can't stop hitting on the girls. I can't imagine that's how they always act.
