Keep in mind you got like 22 characters about and they try to give all of them a good amount of screen time, so it makes sense they'd have to simplify them a bit. Don't really got the room for the same amount of depth as you got in the main games.

If you've played P3 and P4 and already spent your time leaning and loving the characters, PQ just feels like you're hanging out with old friends. It's great.

Yep I just beat PQ for the first time. Good game, only real complaint is about how easy it can be. Most of the difficulty comes in figuring out the puzzles in the labyrinths and not from fighting enemies.

Basically its just the fight in P3 [sp]with Jin and Takaya on the bridge before/after the hanged man, but Shinji is in the fight due to mod i guess. Make it seem like the hype is coming from the action itself rather than the scenario.

Choosing between P3 FES and P3P is fucked, man. I really like the female main character and can't imagine playing without the Persona 4 improvements, but so much is lost from the transition to mostly 2D. And the all-out attack stinger looks awful in P3P! I think I'm going to commit to P3P, but MAN. I bet getting to put the post-launch work all into Golden was a huge relief for those guys.

I like the female route and the updated gameplay but at the same time i feel like it loses a lot of character by becoming a full on visual novel. Could just be me tho.

P3P did the best it possibly could with transitioning to a VN format, but it just inherently causes some scenes to have less impact, especially scenes that were animated. It's still a good version of the game, but it definitely leaves some things to be desired. I'm glad they waited for the P4 Golden version cuz it benefited so much from being able to be on Vita If you can get FES, get that instead. I love FemMC but she's better to play after you experience the main P3 story in P3 FES
