Oh man, P4 Golden is on sale for Vita. $15 or $12 for PS+ memebers. I already beat it and sold it, but it's tempting to have a digital copy of such a good game. Is there a lot to do in NG+ or is it just the same thing but with higher level stuff?

You can also customize every detail about the difficulty level, like damage dealt vs. damage taken and that kinda thing. Besides that though, not a whole lot.

You had to be on NG+ for Margaret in vanilla though.
Still uses the press turn combat, but does some things differently. The biggest difference (at least for me) is how you fuse demons. Instead of taking two demons and simply fusing them, you actually pick the skills you want the new demon to have. I literally went the entire game with one demon having nothing but buffs and debuffs while everyone else had healing and gun/phy attacks.
My main character had a -dyne of every elemental skill + repel magic and phys It was really damn broken.

I beat it once, that's probably enough, and I'm not going to go through the whole thing again because no matter how much I loved the game it went on for a LONG time :v:

You're right about it being super difficult though that way.
.
Junpei using his persona as a lighter makes the comic so much better than it already was.

ok so i fought the boss in the hallow forest but it was ridic easy? I went back to the Fox to heal up and restore all of my SP, but even after the first half of the battle was over and my SP was cut in half, I still blazed through it. 1st turn: Yu and Naoto Mind Charge, Yukiko Fire Break, and Kanji boosts everyone's power 2nd-4th turns: Fire attacks out the whazoo. Repeat I mean, after she did a couple of normal attacks ALL SHE DID was start sucking up my SP, but that didn't really matter because I killed her before I ran out? ok
Oh man this is cool, I got the collector's edition of SMTIV off of ebay, the strategy and design book is a really interesting read. The concept art is wonderful too
ok so i fought the boss in the hallow forest but it was ridic easy? My Persona 4 OST finally arived today, I just love looking at the character artwork in the little booklet. I also discovered that my old ps2 still works so I dont have to get a new one when I'm getting Nocturne.
Three legs
Always tickles me to see my edits getting posted around.
How the fuck does Yukiko fight with a fan anyway?
If it's good enough for Dynasty Warriors it's good enough for me.
Just a bit o' advice to those of you who probably want to play golden in the near future and have yet to acquire a vita or a playstation tv (my recommended choice), it's on sale for 15 bucks on the playstation store anniversary sale until like the 19th-20th. So if you have 15 bucks to use to invest in your gaming future get on it, probably cheaper than you can get it anywhere else atm.
And I beat the game. Naoto's holding the item that halves SP cost granting her 80SP Shield of Justices is the only reason I done beat crazy fog lady on my first go. Hot damn, that was intense. the bae dun saved my life

Now that I think about it that's my strategy for any enemy. It hasn't failed me yet. Not even against [sp]Margaret.[/sp]

Same worked here too.

Kanji occasionally was on item duty. Diamond Shields and SP restoration, mostly.
I'm going into New Game+, I plan on only using Jack Frost fueled by Skill Cards.
What I find interesting in this is the art progression from the 'such cyberpunk, much sci-fi' ridiculousness to Demifiend, who fits perfectly in a game that Features Dante from the Devil May Cry Series, to Flynn and Marine who actually dress practical for the situations their professions will drop them in.
That's kinda one of the reasons I like SMT so much honestly They really don't have a problem with trying new things most of the time so every new game feels really fresh and unique in comparison to the previous.
Let's not forget about the "roaring twenties" in two of the Devil Summoner games.
As I said, most of the time. Sometimes they don't change things up too much but usually they do.

I'd dress pretty punky if the world was as messed up as it was in 1 and 2. Demifiend's lucky he kept his pants and Mean Marine just sorta dropped in. And Flynn was lucky enough to have been born fairly safely. I'd say the only one who's a little weird is 1's Protag, who dressed a little more normally at the start before everything went down. Still all cool designs though.
Hey guys, just wanted to mention I'm making a full-sized Gun-Comp from Devil summoner 1 if anyone wants to see [t]http://puu.sh/eHzVb/266ab00360.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/eHzSl/0a8d62ba92.jpg[/t] Link to my progress thread: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1378200&p=46960546&viewfull=1#post46960546 Edit: I started making this Gump because I thought it looked super radical, but man looking into the game, there's barely anything about it! Theres a few details about it on the wiki and other sites, but mainly everyone only talks about soul hackers. Its too bad that the game doesn't have an english patch, I'd really like to play the original/ know more about it.
Are the Digital Devil Saga games any good? I can get both of them new cheap and I was wondering what you guys think about them.
Are the Digital Devil Saga games any good? I can get both of them new cheap and I was wondering what you guys think about them.
They are the second most popular SMT spin of series next to persona so you should get them. I only played the first one for about 10 hours before getting back to nocturne so I can't really comment on how the game is overall, but if you played nocturne or SMT 4 you should feel right at home.
Thanks for your reply, I will get them soon then. Looking forward to it.
