I personally think that Yuri would be fine if he voiced it a certain way. he has a pretty good range but more often than not he's hired for the same voice.

I'm not that big of a fan of Persona but since that release of the trailer, the hype train cannot be stopped. It's just so great, also the prospect of actually playing a shadow is extremely promising.

But when looking upon the trailer, there are so many hidden details and hints that show that the main characters might be affiliated with the shadows.

The main character and his group are planning heists, breaking into high security buildings. So they are criminals, it's pretty obvious that they are thieves. Although it is not known yet if they are just some vigilante group à la Robin Hood that steal from the corrupted. Anyhow they seem to possess some powers and are actively using to commit theft, they seem to pretty at ease with what they do and don't seem to have the usual "being responsible to have such immense power" approach but rather carefree and more laid back. The trailer has a certain nonchalent vibe to it and these trailers have are carefully put together for a certain reason. Basically my point is that they might just be vagabonds and vigilantes that commit crimes for their own personal gain. The velvet room this time is vastly different, being more akin to an actual prison. Usually the velvet room represents some sort of transportation. You can also see the protagonist being held captured and in chains, clearly struggling with his situation. This might be a reminder that what might happen in case of his failure or when being caught. Although this could also be a dream sequence but the velvet room looks much darker and frankly quite unpleasant this time. The color red is also pretty distinct in this trailer and it certainly plays a major role in setting the tone. Red is usually quite a strong color and often associated with evil or malicious beings. Let's not forget the persona of the protagonist who has quite a dark design and tone to it. It looks rather like a demon that represents something evil. During the trailer where the combat is being shown, we see the crew fighting Sandman and Pyrojack which are not shadows but personas. Which is quite different from previous games. Finally at the end scene, you can see how the protagonist turns into something that looks clearly demonic. Furthermore his eyes are yellow, a phenomenon that is usually attributed to the corrupted versions of one self, the shadow of your personality. Basically all the wicked thoughts and traits that you have to overcome to be at one with yourself. Also it seems like the characters don't summon their personas but rather transform into them much like the corrupted versions of the characters in Persona 4. It looks very sinister. Also during the stealth sections you can see how the protagonist turns into a shadow form, almost like ink which is also often seen with the shadow enemies. That said, this are some thoughts that might be worth considering. I'm not saying the main characters are evil, but they behave vastly different from the tone that was set in the trailer.
