Have any of you played Soul Hackers? I'm considering getting it from Amazon.

It's pretty good, I recommend it
Just remember it's a port/remaster of a Saturn game though so it might look a little off
why is yu so handsome
its unnatural for a teenager to be that good looking
whats his secret besides natural selection

Graphics don't bother me that much, I'm more in it for the story and something fun to sink my teeth into since my 3DS just plain has no games right now. Is it worth the $30 or so they're asking on Amazon or should I just wait for the inevitable Atlus sale?
Got my copy of P4DAN today. I really wish I wasn't completely awful at rhythm games.
I still find some of the jarring copy paste on the portraits really annoying.

Naoto's P4 Head pasted on her slightly changed body next to a completely redrawn Yu is quite odd.
The lighting angle isn't even the same on different parts of Naoto's body, at least they had the decency to completely redo the shading on Rise.
Oh well, DAN failed anyways by not supporting dance pads. It could've been the hardcore game Persona needed to redeem itself to the mainline fans, but they catered to the fucking casuals with no moves. More like Pressing Buttons All Night.

His dad is Philemon.

They just copy/pasted her head onto a body with bigger breasts. She's going to get bustier in every single game from now on.

Of course, dance pads are very complex and strategic input devices. Think of all the muscle movements you have to coordinate to move your legs while staying balanced.

yes

Now I just imagine this dude holding onto the Vita which is plugged into a dance mat jumping around.

Here we go again.

It's a really big game so 30 isn't bad for it, but it will probably go cheaper
It plays pretty traditionally, like in terms of first person dungeon crawling and stuff, but the loyalty system in the game is really cool to work around and while frustrating sometimes can lead to some great stories in the game and just fun trying to work off of your demons misbehaving. Pretty good story too

Wait it's out already?

It's out in Japan

Until the day I die.
Or get bored.
I got Strange Journey yesterday and I'm really enjoying it. It definitely accomplishes the goal it seems to have had of going back to the series roots but while giving it a modern spin. The dungeon crawling is nice and the combat is fun as well.
It's cool seeing some of it's influence that came later to SMTIV in the presentation and some of the effects.
The soundtrack is very different but very memorable. I was worried I wasn't gonna enjoy it as much but I like its music a lot

what the fuck
Subscribing to Ray was one of the best worst things I ever did.
Shame about his taste, though.

Also, surprisingly catchy.
Yukiko is best confirmed from Ray Sipe
you heard it here folks everyone go home and get yourself a Yukiko daki, the god of Waifus has spoken
So I don't normally like these kinda games (JRPGs, etc) but a buddy of mine made me try Persona 3 on the PSP and that shit was fucking ace. It really sucked me in and I couldn't really put it down until I finished it. Anyway, that was around three years ago and I've been meaning to try some of the other games in the series. Somebody else lately has been pushing hardcore to get me to try the other games in the series, so after I wrap up Dark Souls 2 here I'm going to play Persona 4. Any tips or tricks I should know going in or should I go in blind like I did with Persona 3?

Go in as blind as possible, and if you can, get the vita version. If you can get a PSTV and P4 Golden you'll get a much better experience
I mean the PS2 version is fine still but you get a lot more content in the vita version.

What kinda content are we talking here? Because I only own a PS1 and PS2

Blind all the way since it's a mystery plot.

Tons of new story events, a whole new dungeon (it's not that great but it's a new dungeon), new personas, a better persona fusion system with the use of Fusion Search which makes it so you don't have to guess and check for your fusions, two new social links, costumes, some new gameplay elements like managing a garden and scooter riding, a new ending and a new epilogue.
The PS2 version is still fine and will get you the whole story for the most part. I played the PS2 version before playing the Vita version and it really made all the changes worth appreciating

the whole list
OOOOOH I'm all excited now. I'll keep my head low then.
..and probably avoid this thread. :v:
If you can get a playstation TV (they're only like 60 USD, 100 if you want the bundle with a PS3 controller), you can play P4G on your TV and stuff. You can also buy a vita for it obviously if you want to have all the games on the system but it's a lot more expensive obviously

Good idea since spoiler tags don't get used much here unless the game is brand new
