I'm a few hours into Soul Hackers and really digging it. It's what I wanted.
I'm a few hours into Soul Hackers and really digging it. It's what I wanted.
Glad you're enjoying it! On a similar note I've been really enjoying Strange Journey. Enjoying it even more than I thought I would I think it might end up being a new favorite
I actually had a lot of trouble getting into Strange Journey last time I played it. Not sure why. I might go back and give it a shot after Soul Hackers. I'm kind of surprised by how much I'm enjoying it because it's certainly way more old school than the other titles but I don't know, it has a lot of its own appeal to me. I'd say it's not for everyone but it hits the spot for me.
Since everyone is talking about how they're enjoying the other games, Nocturne is fucking amazing.
Oh shit, just started SMT3 on ps3, forgot that i need 4 names not just one. Shit i'll be here for hours.

Speaking of, I thought EU was supposed to have SMT3 by now? I can't find it on the store.
Speaking of, I thought EU was supposed to have SMT3 by now? I can't find it on the store.
damnit I opened several threads at once and was confused at the prospect of an Megami Tensei/Enemy Unknown franchise

still gotta get some better skill cards, but yeah lmao
It's called Lucifer's Call in some regions. Nope, Lucifer's Call doesn't yield any results either.
In doing Margaret's Social Link, I accidentally created a Trumpeteer who can only be damaged by Almighty Attacks. Neat. Gonna extract his Debilitate card, duplicate it, and give it to Jack.
How?
still gotta get some better skill cards, but yeah lmao
Skill cards are crazy, man. I've just been stacking Izanagi with every element, and have barely done any fusing or used other personas. Shadow Naoto's been the only one to give some pushback, where I might need an actual boss-fighting persona, so I might up my active roster to two! Feels so strange after playing vanilla Persona 4.
Skill Cards were kinda my favorite thing about P4G I'm hoping they still exist in P5, maybe slightly nerfed or something. I wanna use Arsene as much as possible though
Ok, so I replaced Angelic Grace with Debilitate, but I still want to replace Bufula and Ice Break and Bufudyne and Invigorate 3, and Absorb Fire if that happens. What would be the easiest method towards getting these? Taking my chance with Shuffle Times for Swords/Skill+ or work my way to fusing the monstrosities and extract the cards that way? Looking through my Compendium, I practically have nothing to work off of towards getting Hariti and/or Satan, unless someone out there has a easy to understand guide towards fusing them with common Personas.

For example, with Hariti, you could fuse Pabilsag and Nidhoggr together to get her, since they meet up as Priestess on the chart and are in her level range. There's lots of different ways to get any persona, and that'll let you figure out what is quickest. Finding the highest level fusion you have on hand that can cast fire or such, having it get bumped past your level from s. links, and then having to roll with it's new strengths and weaknesses for a while was what made all the fusing interesting to me. Maybe I got lucky with shuffle time early on, since I got all the element spells and more from Sword and Magician cards. It took me a little while before I had Pixie steamrolling things in P3P, so it seems like a fine balance.

Honestly even with the skill cards I still had to get some personas to cover my weaknesses in certain boss fights, end game though it's pretty damn busted

Got a babby's first guide for Satan? Also, for conversation purposes: Did any of you guys even bother with the ultimate gear? Having to beat the Reaper over and over again (when it's a pain in the ass enough to find him in the first place) doesn't seem like it's worth it. I find myself using weaker weapons for their bonus effects, like Naoto's +5 to all stats, Yukiko's resistance to Silence, or Teddie's chance at countering physical attacks.
The only time I ever bothered to kill the reaper was in p3p to unlock the monad depths. After several retries I finally did it! [SP]Only to realize that I need to have Elisabeth/Theo's quest activated for it to work.[/sp]
Nevermind on Satan, I'm just gonna fuse Barong with Invigorate 2 and look for a Magician Arcana card. [editline]6th July 2015[/editline]
Nevermind on Satan, I'm just gonna fuse Barong with Invigorate 2 and look for a Magician Arcana card.
While looking for a Magician Card I got a Invigorate 3 from Shuffle Time :o] thanks game

Got a babby's first guide for Satan?
Yeah, Satan's tricky since he's a triple fusion, and Michael is so close to his level. I think Hariti, Atavaka, and Futsunushi should be able to do it, if you ever want to get Satan for compendium completion. Fusion's not quite as scary as it looks, but it does take a bit of reading and messing around with yourself to get a handle on the system. Doesn't really seem worth it to go out of your way to grind them, though, plenty of other decent weapons. Am I crazy, or do the Reaper's chain jingle around even when he's not on the floor? I've heard it like 10 separate times on first playthrough of Golden, but only found his chest once, in Naoto's base.
I forgot how piss easy Raidou 2 is. The fiends are a fucking joke in this game, I just want Alice now.

If you open a chest and he's not in it he will disappear for that floor. Every 25(?) chests you open makes him spawn in a chest on that floor.
Goddamn I feel like Mitra in Strange Journey shouldn't have been as hard as he was but he took me forever to beat. So happy I finally got the fucker I'm really loving Strange Journey so far though
still gotta get some better skill cards, but yeah lmao
I've only just finished the bathhouse and I'm kinda sad that Chie just has no reason to be on my team anymore. Kanji is better at melee and my Jack Frost is so ridiculously powerful that I have no reason for her ice attacks.
