I've only just finished the bathhouse and I'm kinda sad that Chie just has no reason to be on my team anymore. Kanji is better at melee and my Jack Frost is so ridiculously powerful that I have no reason for her ice attacks.
Make it up to her... romance her.
Make it up to her... romance her.
I would but Ayane kinda wants to play my trumpet if you're catching my tune. And that would give me motivation for a second playthrough with Golden, and so end up romancing the one who truly deserves it.
i always alternate characters so i can get as much grinding/progress as possible i start the dungeon with whoever the "b" team for the boss would be, then when they're low on SP and health i swap em for the "a" team that way the jewfox gets as little of my yip yap yens as possible

Wait till you get her Bruce Lee outfit, Chie in BL outfit is stronger than the rest combined. You just got to believe.
Wait til she gets the hi crit skills
Chie is better in a sense that she gets crazy crits and has crowd control physical attacks. However, Kanji is consistently stronger, bulkier, and can buff everyone's Attack power. Plus he can make up for his shortcomings by learning Power Charge and Atom Smasher through his Social Link and hot spring visits.
Whelp, gotta start over from 2/1. I accidentally skipped over Margaret's battle.

Rest in peace voice actor
Rest in peace voice actor
Wow it's not even close. I was expecting similar to the original voice actor much like Mercer sounding like Baker. This voice actually reminds me of P4 Chie (not P4G).
Laura Bailey was booked for work on another game so Ashley Burch is voicing her for P4DAN. It's likely she'll reprise Rise if Atlus bothers to schedule properly. Also how good is the Elizabeth D-arts? I'm still looking for a decent price Labrys. At least I got MGS2 Snake (Aigis is acting as his Persona for now, tranq guns work as evokers right?)
She's good, she's just not Rise.

The only gripe i have with it is that getting her to do the sitting pose is kind of a pain because you have to take off the legs and the lower torso, put on the sitting lower torso, then shove her legs back into the joint there. It's really finnicky and took me awhile Besides that though it's pretty nice [editline]8th July 2015[/editline]
The new voice actor for Rise is Ashly Burch. This woman:
She's also Rei in Persona Q She's a pretty good VA, probably the best they could get on short notice for Rise like that while still reusing people. She'll never beat Laura Bailey though which is unfortunate
I dislike her quite a lot unfortunately. Not sure why. She's an alright enough VA but i just don't like her.
Yeah I cant say I'm too much of a fan. I thought the Chie and Kanji replacements were fine, but something about her as Rise just doesn't feel right. Laura was a pretty decent alternative to Rie Kugimiya.
I wish SMT IV had something like the Skill Cards from P4G because I'm a little attached to this Nue I fused. That would unbalance the game a whole lot though.

What should balance skills cards outside of persona is letting demons give random cards every time they level up. [sp]While RNG controls what skill card you're getting from a demon.[/sp]
Whelp, gotta start over from 2/1. And you have to do this for 10 different bosses.

EDIT: wait whoops missed the IV, this is nocturne
Going to the food court or the Velvet Room for literally no reason after you're prompted to go home is comparable to crouching in some corner waiting for a tornado to come whisk you away. If I didn't already know how to unlock the true ending on my first run I probably would have never done it.

It was even better that the game tried to tell you that you were done. I don't think it's something anyone would really think about, but there are weird hints towards it. I mean, you never once see the very first area's design anywhere in the game if you didn't get the true end, and if you thought about it, the beginning of the game had some other weird things that were never explained at all. A lot of the problem I would say is that most games never really do anything like that, and never really require you to actually look at whats happened to get the true ending.
Makes me wonder if P5 is gonna have some crazy bullshit like that for the true ending
In the 7 years or so since Persona 4 came out, the way data-mining, let's plays, wikis, and all sorts of other stuff has blown up, would probably make any hidden secrets discovered in no time. For everyone else, it's something to look up in a guide and say "Wow, that's a stupid way to get it", or just miss entirely. Going to Junes after the game says "GO AWAY" is not a satisfying way to solve a mystery. As much as people got mad at Edmund for getting mad at people breaking Rebirth apart to find all it's secrets, something like Binding of Isaac is built for weird secrets like that, while a 60-80 hour linear RPG is not, beyond "old games used to do it". I kinda wish doing Marie's dungeon would have pointed you to the true ending more, but at least you don't have to get through a second prompt to see it.

Plus on the topic of Margaret, why is the time window so small in which you can obtain her key item to initiate the boss battle? For what reason can you only do it in the 3 seconds in between getting the Orb and talking to the one behind it all? You go in the TV afterwards anyway, where you can endlessly do TV-world related activities, including visit the Velvet Room. It's poopy.
I just wish they wouldn't do NG+ bosses. I'd rather do a new game than new game+, so I'll never get to fight my SMT waifu Demi-Fiend in DDS.

Apparently to even stand a chance you need to max out everything basically.
