Yeah, out of all the spinoffs P4DAN is the only one that, at least to me, feels like a genuine continuation of P4. Like, P4A and P4AU are cool and all but their stories definitely feel like an after thought. DAN however seems to really take the themes of P4 and applies them in a new and interesting way, with the idol industry and all. I'm not too interested in the rhythm gameplay part, and just in general stuff with the outfits and watching the girls dance around makes me feel uncomfortable. Hearing that it holds up better than than the Arena sounds like something, because I really liked how P4A turned out. Chie's new voice definitely works out, just with a bit of time to adjust, but when I first heard her Naoto in the animation, it sounded a lot more natural. But hey, turns out even when the old VA wasn't around anymore, they had a Matt Mercer-style sound alike that kept me completely fooled up until just now.

I will say two things someone pointed out from a podcast that really bother me. The spread out UI really, really artificially ups the difficulty, and sometimes the notes have [U]nothing[/U] to do with the song.

I find it easier when I know exactly where all the notes are gonna be in space rather than in Project Diva where the notes can appear almost anywhere. It makes it easy to miss them for me and also prevents me from watching the action, while P4DAN lets me kinda watch the dance that's going on while playing. I also can't say I've seen any notes that seemed like they weren't having anything to do with the song, they're usually on the beats or the off beats as I expect, but maybe i'm just forgetting. Masayuki Doi has taken over with some new demon designs as well as reinterpreting some of the ones introduced in SMTIV. One of the newest features of the game is the Partner system, which is expanding on how people could assist you in SMTIV. You can pick a character and they each have their own abilities, like the character Asahai specializing in Recovery skills. They will level up with you as the game goes on. Lookin pretty awesome to me so far!

On another note, I'm actually getting slightly more money than I expected soon so it looks like that DAN Disco Fever edition might still be coming after all.

I liken it to Greek religion vs. Christianity. Greeks have an order of gods, Christianity has the One. I imagine the main conflict centers around which of these you support
