DAN Disco Fever pre-order placed. DAN, Jessica Jones, Fallout 4; November's a good time to be alive.
I hated everything about IV other than the gameplay, so I'm uneasy about giving this next one a chance, but the 3DS barely has anything else that interests me so I might wind up doing it anyways.

So how do you get the Marie and Adachi DLC? Do you just buy the songs with them in it?
So how do you get the Marie and Adachi DLC? Do you just buy the songs with them in it?
Yep, just buy them off PSN.
Just recently picked up Devil Survivor Overclocked, since it was on sale. I never expected it to be endless missions of protecting npc's, jeez
It's Devil SURVIVOR not Devil DYER. Geez.
Guess who was announced, and released for NA today? Anyway, I finally got my limited edition in the mail today, and since I can't redeem the DLC that comes with it myself (it's US only, for whatever reason), I thought I'd give it away here. It's the Gekkoukan High and P4G's Epilogue costumes, along with the song "Never More". Whoever wants it, just rate this post whatever and if there's more than one taker I'll pick a winner at random tomorrow.
Fuck me that song is atrocious. It sounds like someone just did the same thing that everyone did in the early youtube days and added a "wub" to every sound like old Techno Remix versions of songs.
So it's been out for a while there, what's your final verdict of DAN? 2 more weeks and a day to go here.
Finally beat Vanilla Shadow Yukiko. I was so close to biting the dust, too!
So it's been out for a while there, what's your final verdict of DAN? 2 more weeks and a day to go here.
I liked it quite a lot and it honestly is my favorite of the p4 spinoffs. The story felt like a proper continuation of P4's plotline to me, which was a feeling i didn't really get from P4A or P4AU. Not to say I didn't enjoy them, but I didn't feel as engaged in the story in them as I did in DAN. As a rhythm game as well, it's quite fun. You get a pretty good selection of songs, and all the bonuses you can purchase with the points earned in the game keep you playing and encourage you to experiment with the modifiers and stuff, it's really great
i can't believe hatsune miku is a canon character in the persona universe
Technically so are Lotus Juice, Shoji Meguro, Yumi Kawamura, and Shihoko Hirata if the music they're dancing to is canon
Congrats Zeos, I've sent you a pm!
So it's been out for a while there, what's your final verdict of DAN? 2 more weeks and a day to go here.
It's a blast. The gameplay's a lot fun after you crank up the difficulty some, and the presentation is on point, as always. Especially the character models look fabulous. The soundtrack is freaking fantastic, aside from that one god-awful rendition of Shadow World ohmygodwhatweretheythinking??? I also would've liked to have seen more songs from the Arena games. Those character-specific themes are sooo goood. At least we got "Break Out Of..." in there as DLC. I've been busy with other stuff (I recently started playing P3P for the first time, and I've been chipping away at PQ's final labyrinth for a good while now) so I've yet to crack into the story mode in English, but what little I was able to decipher from the Japanese version made it seem totally okay. I'd definitely love to see a "Persona 3 Dancing All Midnight" at some point. I get goosebumps just thinking about what the likes of the guest artists they got to work on P4DAN could do with Persona 3's soundtrack... But only well after P5 is out. Right now all of P Studio/Atlus should focus on cranking out that bad boy.
I liked it quite a lot and it honestly is my favorite of the p4 spinoffs.
This game's great, but Arena Ultimax still holds that title for me personally. I've poured a redonkulous amount of hours into that thing, and I'd play it even more if only the playerbase was bigger. Hopefully something will come out of the recent rumors that they're working on bringing the 2.0 update to the home consoles. I've been waiting for that to hit ever since they announced it for the arcades, and it'd breathe some more life into that game, I'm sure.

I've gotten somewhat interested in playing online, despite not having played against another human in a fighting game for years. But man, having there be only a single lobby probably filled with 32 very good people is ultra intimidating. That 2.0 update, if it comes to consoles, seems like it would be the the time to jump in, so I'm keeping an eye out for it.

I have played Ultimax way more and I still play it when I have friends over and stuff, I'm more talking from a story standpoint, so from gameplay alone I completely agree with you [editline]21st October 2015[/editline]
Technically so are Lotus Juice, Shoji Meguro, Yumi Kawamura, and Shihoko Hirata if the music they're dancing to is canon
They are possibly canon, Miku isn't though. They've said all the DLC characters are bonuses that aren't a canonical addition to the game, so I would assume that means Miku doesn't really exist in Persona.
So I've been playing Persona 3 (FES) for a looooong time. Right now I'm at November 30th. How much longer does the game go on? I'm kind of anxious to just power through it after [sp]that huge fakeout after killing the "final" shadow. For all I know it's gonna go on forever now, because I have no idea what the next logical ending point is.[/sp]

The game ends in January so you only have a few months left
Still playing Devil Survivor Overclocked. What the hell's up with the [sp]Beldr[/sp] fight? [sp]Only Hero is allowed to hit him, and only with Auto-Attacks, and he's constantly spamming that map wide damage wave that also heals him; and all of his demon groups are carrying media, and as soon as you kill them off more groups spawn[/sp]
So it's been out for a while there, what's your final verdict of DAN? 2 more weeks and a day to go here.
I think it's pretty good but I also think it has the same problem as arena where they can't do anything really interesting with the IT since it's a spinoff [sp]I just want everyone to have their third tier personas and for Yu to have Izanagi-no-Okami as his default. I also want the harem ending to be canon so we can stop side stepping the romance stuff[/sp]
I guess no one told me that the PS TV is fucking $30, just bought one :v: Time to get around to playing golden. Poor vita, it had a hard life.
Tomorrow, I'm going out to see Editors and coming home to my DAN Disco Fever edition. Tomorrow is a good day.
I've only played two songs so far and the inter-character quips during them makes me wanna hurl. They sound like something out of a really bad kid's show.
At least you get to play it. Australian release was already a month late, now it's been delayed from the 5th to the 13th ;_;
Call me a purist but DAN's dub is irking me kind of badly, namely in the fact that they didn't seem to give a shit about pronunciation. I mean, when the dub keeps talking about 'YO-su-ke' and 'NA-o-to', why the fuck are we suddenly talking about 'No-ZO-mi' and 'To-MO-e'? This gets really confusing when the characters refer to 'KA-na-min Kitchen' as the group but its lead singer is apparently called 'Ka-NA-mi'. Made even MORE confusing when Nanako DOES pronounce it correctly.
So, DAN finished. And it's certainly not without its issues. The big one being just how un-fucking-subtle it is. If Persona 4 slapped its 'stay true to yourself' message in your face a few times too much, DAN might as well carry a sledgehammer with the words 'bonds' and 'connections' on it. It'd be comical if they didn't mention this bullshit at every opportunity in the most hamfisted way possible. Come to think of it, the story is a bit of a mess in more ways than one. Maybe it's me but every single reveal was so unbelievably poorly foreshadowed, they lose all impact. Yu is still a perfect, unbeatable hunk of a man but he's been that way since his inception so I won't berate DAN too much for that. What I will quizzically cock my head at is the fact that the cast seems a bit dumber somehow. This takes place months after P4 and, by extension, Arena and its sequel, right? So why does the dialogue make them think it's someone who's responsible for this shadow world rather than something? You'd think they'd have caught on by now that this is generally caused by supernatural beings. There's also the fact that everything is framed around a random visitor to the Velvet Room. Why? Nothing's done with it, it serves no purpose, it adds absolutely nothing. Why is it here, besides reminding us that yes, Margaret still exists? Alright, I'm done complaining about the story, let's talk gameplay. There's one tiny problem I have (besides the aforementioned inter-character babbling) and that's the fact that, in order to hit the rings, I can only nudge the right analog stick to the right. Maybe I read it wrong but wasn't I supposed to just nudge it in any direction to get it? Other than that, I've got nothing. The rhythm gameplay is pretty much what I expected it to be; easy to get into but capable of throwing some real curve balls your way. Time to start grinding songs to unlock everything. To finish off on a funny note, I just wanna quote this funny little tidbit from the Kotaku review.
I hope you guys are ready for dat Holiday sale, now is the perfect time to get DS2! [T]http://i.imgur.com/JtZyQdXl.jpg[/T]
Finally decided to give Soul Hackers on the 3ds a go again after not really finishing it. I'm really hooked, probably because I bought SMT4 and it was more accessible than simply starting with Soul Hackers. Anyway the difficulty can ramp up at times to a ridiculous extend. Nevertheless I truly enjoy it, although I'm somewhat stuck. After moving to a new area basically every random encounters wipes my party. The only thing that I really dislike is the magnetite cost for moving and summoning demons, it somewhat makes me less likely to tinker around with demons and various formations.
Does anyone have a list of the Free DLC for P4DAN?
