Lots of more details in the source, but to sum it up, they're forming a new studio inside of Atlus, and their first project is a new IP! The director of Personas 3, 4, and 5, Katsura Hashino, and the games' character designer, Shigenori Soejima are said to be on board!

I appreciate the armor design. Actually looks like it could stop some blows, unlike most fantasy jrpg armor (and female rpg armor in general) I've seen.
I knew Hashino said he didn't wanna always work on Persona, but I didn't expect him to be moving to a new project so soon. Super excited!
Soejima's art has come such a long way too, it's wonderful to see!

Also makes me wonder if those two are still gonna be the heads of Persona for when they eventually move on to P6 or if they're gonna give it some new leaders again. This is a big deal for Atlus

It's a good compromise between practical and fantasy. The swivel joint on her stainless steel poncho is rather fantasy but it also has a small sliding track that would make it more flexible, I suppose. The boob part of the poncho (from this angle appears) to be just a single piece rather than two cups sticking out. Shigenori's favourite character is Aigis, so the headband is obviously straight from her.

Some tidbits:
-Meguro's working on the music, and so the Holy Trinity is complete!
-Atlus will start recruiting people for the project after the live stream that's in a couple of days.
-The magazine will have more concept art of the game
-Since they're still so early on, they've naturally not nailed down specifics such as a release window, pricing, or even what platforms the game will be on.

No final word on Hashino as of yet, but Soejima and Meguro seem like they'll be involved in future projects, at least.

I'm late with this, but I don't think anyone has mentioned it in the thread. A dump of P4AU's arcade version can run on PC with a few tools as Taito Type X is based on Windows XP Embedded. P4AU 2.0 could be playable outside of Japan and on PCs if someone wrote a netplay patch for it.

I wish Hardin good luck with his future plans, but I wanna believe Atlus has a replacement lined up, or has at least planned things out well in advance since this seems like a pretty hectic time for him to be leaving.
You know, just as the company's biggest game yet is about to be released, and as the time when review copies are about to be sent out is fast approaching.
I hope this won't affect things too much for us, the consumers.
2 things that i wish you could limit or at the very least turn off ( they were kinda annoying in 3 and 4) are the battle music and the persona summon sequence.

Feel like I've been waiting for Persona 5 forever, and now it's really starting to dawn on me that it's actually almost here. I'm starting to feel excited again. I was planning on playing through P4G one more time before Persona 5, but Breath of the Wild and Switch kind of made all of March just dissapear.
I'm so excited for P5 but at the same time I am dreading how much it's gonna affect my college life
It's like im living in a real persona game except the dungeons are actually playing a persona game and no girls will start social links with me
