Futaba is such a bae You scrub hands off, go get an ann
The internet has fucked me up and her name starting with Futa just confuses me every time
P5 feels like it was advertised to be way more light hearted. Like five minutes in the game completely contradicts that
I never got a light hearted vibe from it but it felt more like it was just general drama rather than being dark as shit during the advertising My mouth fell to the floor though when shit hit the fan [editline]7th April 2017[/editline]
I can't ever bring myself to skip the intro... the song is so good and the visuals are so stylish. I watch the whole thing every time I boot the game. I need help.
i think you'd need help if you skipped it

First Palace boss spoiler: [sp] So I braced for the worst before fighting Kamoshida as a precaution (playing on normal) only to find that it was quite a bit easier than expected. If you follow through on sending a teammate to steal his crown and it's successful the fight can end in just a few moves. I thought that was a strange mechanic since I had him at about half-health and still had plenty of resources to take him down the rest of the way. Do you just continue to fight him as normal if you opt out of stealing his crown?[/sp]
The bosses are super easy on Normal. Though unlike the other Personas your starting party are pretty useful to begin with so that helps a lot. I like how team composition is way more flexible this time around. Can't wait to get the (battle feature spoilers) [sp]party member swap ability[/sp]
Man im stuck super hard on if I wanna go monogamous on my first run or if I wanna be a cheating fuck the first time through and go Pure Angel Man on my New Game + run. I wanna really get a feel for all the girls I like in the game so its kinda tough for me to decide. I'm sure no matter which playthrough i cheat like hell in its gonna hurt though [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] Thought some more on it and decided I will save my video game cheating methods for when my character has literally nothing to lose so, second playthrough guy will be the cheating fuckwit
Holy shit, P5's music is phenomenal. It's been a long time since I've thoroughly enjoyed every piece of music from a game, usually there's at least a few songs that I dislike but not here, goddamn.
I hate how some of these confidants need higher than normal stats to be able to talk to them. I mean it's cool but Knowledge and Charm take forever to level up, Charm especially because there's very few things that actually give you it in bulk.
Wow, the [sp]Museum is gorgeous.[/sp]

And judging by how far I am in the game it won't take you as long as it seems. I haven't even gotten all the party members yet and I'm close to max on everything
Wow, the [sp]Museum is gorgeous.[/sp]
It's not that big of a deal but you might wanna add context to what you're talking about when you spoiler tag something. Like (xth Palace) Speaking of Boss #4 was really really simple pattern wise but still managed to batter the heck outta me jeez.

I dont remember P4 being as grindy with the stats.
So, hmm, I'm not crazy right (Music Spoiler) [sp]The prelude to the boss theme for each dungeon, when their true intentions are revealed, that's totally I'll Face Myself mixed with the pre-boss theme from p4 right?[/sp]
Is this game worth the AAA price on launch? I didn't quite get to finish P4 or PQ (in P4's case, it was because I didn't really understand the battle mechanics well and got bored, in PQ's case it was more or less the fact that there wasn't really any good flavor text and characters kind of got condensed down into archetypes rather than being themselves)

Some of the battle mechanics have changed since P4 so combat feels a lot smoother now. I have the same gripe about Persona Q as well when it comes to how they wrote the characters, but that's not an issue in P5. If you're looking to revitalize your interest in the Persona series, I think this game provides the perfect opportunity to do so. The game may feel slow at the start, but it quickly picks up after you get your fourth party member.

I dont remember P4 being as grindy with the stats.
It feels about the same to me as it did in P4, though I suppose it depends on what you're using to advance your stats. I haven't really had a problem advancing them at a reasonable pace though. I'm only a bit past that part and most of my stats are 3 -4 with the exception of proficiency which is at 2. It really does feel like the best the series has to offer overal to me. Combat is way smoother and faster paced, the main cast is better balanced / developed, you have a ton more ways to interact with the world than in previous titles, the dungeons are a blast to explore and go through, the social links are all pretty great so far imo. It's also a fuckin massive game too, I'm approaching 40 hours of play so far and I haven't even gotten all the party members yet, so I have to assume I'm either only a bit past the half-way point or am fast approaching it. And I'm certain I'm gonna be giving it subsequent playthroughs as well to experience with the things I missed.
So what am I supposed to do with (Fusion stuff) [sp]Treasure personas?[/sp] I have one just sitting in my inventory and I'm afraid to use it
Baton pass makes the combat in this game so easy
So what am I supposed to do with (Fusion stuff) [sp]Treasure personas?[/sp] I have one just sitting in my inventory and I'm afraid to use it
Use it for fusions. They count as registered so you can just pull it back out for more uses :v:
I wasn't keen on the battle music because I was finishing battles so quick that I didn't get to hear the chorus. MAN that chorus is good. You'll never take away my Ooo Ooos. Also new avatar to celebrate the occasion.
Baton pass makes the combat in this game so easy
Baton Pass to your power hitter (Ryuji or *slight spoilers* [sp]Yusuke[/sp]) makes taking out groups a joke. [editline]8th April 2017[/editline]
Use it for fusions. They count as registered so you can just pull it back out for more uses :v:
I'm actually only using the Regent (Emperor tarot) for my confidant leveling, so I have a useless "persona" sitting in my roster :v:. I haven't found an Emperor persona yet besides those gem ghost things.
So what am I supposed to do with (Fusion stuff) [sp]Treasure personas?[/sp] I have one just sitting in my inventory and I'm afraid to use it
Fusions or [sp]Guillotine[/sp], they will boost your personas XP by a lot and with the latter method they can inherit bonus abilities
my Futaba ship has sailed! But now I wonder if I can woo the goth doctor.. I'm curious to see what characters ya will end up picking. and I just realized baton pass was a thing.. I didn't use that a single time and I've already well past like the 4-5th palace..

Ended up liking her way more than I expected to Next playthrough im gonna go for either Tae or Makoto most likely
Is Persona 5 darker in tone than P3 and P4? Also should I hold off until a portable version is made or is it worth getting it now? Wondering cause P3P and P4G ended up as the definitive editions...P3P is debatable tho considering it doesn't have the Answer, but P4G is deff the definitive version of P4.

P4 was about a serial killer although had way too much happy go lucky stuff going on in the foreground. P3 was all about death and P5 is all about abuse mostly. Also it's going to be years before a P5 Definitive edition comes out, just get it now.
