What the fuck is this weapon for? It's called the Black Kogatana and it's atrociously weak.
What the fuck is this weapon for? It's called the Black Kogatana and it's atrociously weak.
It says in the description of the weapon. All "black items" are used for transmutation. Eventually you get the ability to (velvet room persona ability) [sp]execute Personas by electric chair. This give you the ability to fuse a Persona and a black item to get a new item. [/sp]
I just bought the steelbook edition of Persona 5 yesterday and played for about an hour. Can't wait to play it again! But I do have one question: do any of the dialogue choices this early on make a difference in the game later on?

I mean it doesn't matter but if you want to make use of your limited time you want to level them quickly and have less downtime of not ranking up their confidant level.
Also, doe's anyone have a guide on how Persona crafting works? Hell do I even need to know exactly how it works?
Also, doe's anyone have a guide on how Persona crafting works? Hell do I even need to know exactly how it works?
pffffftttt learning the system Here https://chinhodado.github.io/persona5_calculator/#/list [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] I'm not using a guide on my first playthrough but I sure as hell don't feel guilt for using this [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] If you need to make a persona with a certain move, look through your registry for something that already has it. Then go to the calculator page for the resulting persona, and search the name of the persona that has the move
Holy shit the cutscenes are so fucking good [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Both of the ones in the 4th dungeon fucking killed me
I really really love this game.
I've played about 50 hours of persona 5 so far and I only have one real complaint which is pretty incredible There's SO MUCH WASTED TIME Jesus fucking christ we stood around in my room for an entire day and talked about shit why do I have to go right to sleep I'm not tired I did nothing all day WHY IS A CAT TELLING ME I CAN'T EVEN MAKE SOME FUCKING LOCKPICKS I AM MY OWN MAN
I remember I hated it in Persona 4 too but it wasn't as annoying since there weren't as many "Plot Days". I can see this being one of the things they change if they ever re-release the game After maxing Kawakami though I'm not really bothered since her confidant gives me way more free time [editline]11th April 2017[/editline]
I want this game but can't afford to buy a PS4 just for it.
You could get it on PS3, that version isn't really much different and PS3's are much cheaper nowadays
The waste of time is ridiculous the further you get in. Dungeon 3 has four days of nothing because you leave and come back to the dungeon THREE TIMES BEFORE YOU CAN EXPLORE IT.
This game ends sooner than P4 I think as far as date goes. I think I'm near the end of the game for the true ending. Also getting the true ending is a lot simpler than P4 was tbh. P4 felt more mysterious like I was questioning if the "main baddy" really was the main one, P5 on the other hand just feels like they threw all the info in your face and then went "oh your choices might matter here ;)"

thank you reddit [t]http://i.imgur.com/WJtTM44.png[/t]
God forbid I'm actually able to do anything for like 4 days because of exams.
Heeeeyy, so, got the game, dumped around 13 or so hours into it. [sp]I'm very much worried that whatever I'm doing is the wrong way to go about things and that I'll end up flubbing my chances of enjoying the game's story. I don't have many confidants, my stats are all 2 at the moment, and most of my confident ranks are low (5 being the highest). I just finished the second palace.[/sp]
What are you spending your time on?
[sp]If I don't have the direct ability to work on someone's social link that day, I try raising my stats, making sure to do the special ones (like the medicinal bath) on their respective days. I've cleared both palaces in two days tops, so I have a lot of time to focus on improving my stats (hence why everything is at level two). I've noticed some gray persona cards on the travel system and have unlocked the speech-giving man's questline. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that with such free time to hammer in on my stats, a lot of my social links aren't "going to bond any time soon" or whatever. The only confidants I really have are the main cast except Ann, the doctor, and Leblanc's cafe owner.[/sp]

E.G. a persona of the Sun tarot before you talk hang out with the Sun confidant.
That legitimately seems difficult as fuck. I keep one-shotting the shit out of enemies with their weakness, so I'm unable to [sp]hold them up, and it's rare for me to get a shadow that wants to wave their surrender flag[/sp] I think I struggle with understanding how to combine personae together to make 'better' ones. I can't tell if they're inherently better or not, or if they'll be a better addition to my team to switch into.

Just finished P5. I feel like there are big missed opportunities with the interactions between the main cast but it was a fun journey regardless. If they can find the right length and pace, this would be a great anime so I hope that would supplement what I find lacking in the game
Disappointed that the quintessential beach part didn't have an interactive Operation Babe Hunt [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] Also who did the anime cutscenes? They're way better than 3 or 4's

Just started [sp]Futaba's Palace[/sp] I have a feeling this is going to be a "That Part" segment.
[sp]her palace isn't bad. i knocked it out in a single day.[/sp] [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] [sp]boss was ez 2[/sp]
There are people in this world who legitimately think Shiki Ouji is not the best early game persona and frankly that's just not OK.

Played over 50 hours of P5 now, swapping between english and japanese voices. It's interesting that one isn't better than the other in every aspect, at least in my personal opinion. In Japanese, Futaba has more personality, Yusuke has less personality, and it's the opposite for both in English. Haru and Morgana's voices are obnoxious in English but fine in Japanese, and I actually like Makoto and Ann more in English. I went in thinking I would go 100% Japanese voices after hearing the English charater trailers, but I guess the trailers just used some poor examples because they're not nearly as bad as they seemed.
