Try out P3FES if you liked P4. The story is miles better then P4's

if you're talking to me i've played and beat every persona including p4a and p4u
p3 is definitely better story-wise than p4 but p4 hit me a little more on a personal level so i personally consider it higher than p3
persona 5 crimson with female protagonist when, atlus?
Also I prefer P3P over FES because FeMC is a more interesting addition then the literal shitheap known as The Answer.
speaking of p3 i just started playing fes tonight after beating p4g and now p5. i somehow managed to get a brand new copy off of amazon for like 15 bucks, which i feel is pretty neat. any general tips? i've heard it's a bit tougher than the more recent entries.

Make sure you can issue commands yourself. Do not trust your party with fucking anything.
Other then that not really, Hama and Mudo are fucking everywhere in that game so prepare accordingly and be sure to save often.

Oh and since it's FES don't play The Answer, it will genuinely sour The Journey for you if you care about the plot at all

pretty sure direct commands aren't in fes, but jeez is the answer really that bad
i really dont want to have to buy a vita to play the complete edition of P4
You could buy a PS TV Vita whatever it's called or settle for the adequate PS2 version. I mean, it would be missing some added features but it'd also feature no Marie.

why didnt i know that that was a thing that existed
You can play the golden with the PSTV

It's been awhile since I played FES as I usually stick to P3P so might be wrong on the direct commands thing. In that case don't expect anything from Mitsuru except for suffering and Marin Karin.
And yeah the Answer is a gameplay chore with some really, really bad writing. It's them trying to put in more content without actually having a solid plan. It's hours of literally nothing but wasted time.

FES doesn't have direct commands, P3P does.
Mitsuru doing nothing but Marin Karin is nothing but a meme anyways.
I've played through a large chunk of P3Fes and I've never had a problem of characters doing ridiculous things that I didn't want them to do.
If you actually put to use the order system it works fine enough but not as great as having direct control of course.

You made the right choice picking up FES since P3P is a bad PSP port that gets rid of all gameplay aside from Tartarus and includes FeMC (Who's none canon and will stay that way forever)which you might think is cool until one of her S.links completely destroys another characters development and another character makes no sense.
It's only tougher in the regard of not having full party control but once you get the command "Knock Down" it gets easy. Some useful tips: when you scan an enemy it takes a few turns for the game to tell you it's weakness but your team AI will know right after you hit the scan button. Never have their AI on free will.
Make sure to take a week break before jumping into The Answer because it will burn you out if you start right after finishing the Journey.
Some people prefer P3P because of the party control but the enemy AI is still balanced around no party control and basically breaks halfway through the game and becomes a cake walk. Even then FES isn't hard if you just use the command menu properly. P3P also nerfs the best boss fight in the game so it goes from being hype and an actual challenge to being able to 1 shot it
pretty sure direct commands aren't in fes, but jeez is the answer really that bad
Not at all. It explains the ending of P3FES and it adds to the characters by showing you what they did before SEES. It also has some very good visuals and the story is good. I guess people don't like it because it's all dungeon crawl and no slinks? Even then it's 15 hours. Maybe people don't like it because it's locked to hard mode?
The Answer gives closure and is a great addition I have no idea why people hate on it.
Oh another tip for FES if you want the strongest move in the game make sure you complete all the requests of taking Elizabeth out and the Star Slink

time to start speculatin
if selling Persona 5 Racing means atlus can fund Devil Summoner 3: Gouto's Big Break then i'll gladly buy at least 2 copies
Okay, now this Morgana shit is getting even more ridiculous (September spoilers) [sp]HE'S TRYING TO TALK TO ME, THEN CUTS HIMSELF OFF TO TELL ME TO SLEEP[/sp]
I know, the writing direction really dips around there.
Luckily thats the worst part of the game so its all uphill.

Most likely to prevent other people buying the domains and setting up fake game pages.

She Marin Karins a lot back when I played it.
I've literally had her try to do it against the final boss only for it to use it's ultimate move the next turn on the group (which charmed her go figure)
You just got super lucky.
Ughghghg the Answer does nothing but set up an underlying plot point of the whole series that will legitimately never be, uh, answered as it would ruin P3's story

There are orders that makes it so that she would prioritize other skills man.
Yeah I'm lucky but it helps that I actually lowered the probability of her actually using a skill I didn't want

You had her on free will then. Mitsuru barely uses it if you have her on anything else. She's also not good for the final boss since Yukari outclasses her in healing and Aigis/Akihiko together make up for her damage and buffing.

It just explains what happened at the end of the story and gives everyone closure.

No, no it really doesn't. [sp]Elizabeth gets sent on a quest to rescue P3 Protag, a plotline that is mentioned in P4, and has continued in P4A and Ultimax. It will

[sp]That doesn't happen until P4A which explains why she's not in P4(which also says why she's not in P4). You missed the point. It's not about bringing him back it's about putting his soul to rest. It also gives something for Elizabeth and Aigis to do since they'll live for thousands of years. Atlus also keeps hinting at them eventually dealing with it ala PQ. The Answer is to explain what the cast did after the game and to explain the ending, which it does perfectly[/sp]
