Like I won't deny it's super possible she was on freewill as it's been *years* (like, launch of FES) but I'm pretty sure I put her on support at the time and that got her Marin Karin spamming

Wow dungeon 5 is ASS
Please make this the thread title
this one's good too [t]http://i.imgur.com/8ygYw8Z.png[/t]
Man, need to get used with Persona games. PE5 is making me feel i'm missing out many days and whenever see my character's social stats, i'm like "wow i'm doing so bad". Granted this is still beginning but seeing how days pass fast instinctively worry me
No, no it really doesn't. [sp]Elizabeth gets sent on a quest to rescue P3 Protag, a plotline that is mentioned in P4, and has continued in P4A and Ultimax. It will Never Ever Be resolved.[/sp]

[sp]That doesn't happen until P4A which explains why she's not in P4(which also says why she's not in P4). You missed the point. It's not about bringing him back it's about putting his soul to rest. It also gives something for Elizabeth and Aigis to do since they'll live for thousands of years. Atlus also keeps hinting at them eventually dealing with it ala PQ. The Answer is to explain what the cast did after the game and to explain the ending, which it does perfectly[/sp]
Major P5 ending spoilers: [sp]Since erebus is the reason that nyx awakens and brings the fall, elizabeth aims to protect the seal by killing erebus when it resurrects, as there is no way to fully kill it because it is the manifestation of humanity's grief and negative emotion. So it will always be reborn[/sp] [sp]But what if there was a way to stop humanities grief and negativity[/sp] [sp]by changing the hearts of society[/sp] this is the headcanon i will live by

The whole theme of P3 is [sp]becoming okay with your own death.[/sp] [sp]MC died on the bridge that night years ago and has just been running on borrowed time, it kind of goes against the theme of the game if the power of friendship just brought him back with no strings attached- even if Elizabeth is randomly gunning for a way to save him (that won't happen).[/sp]

[sp]MC never died during that car crash, his parents did. The only time he was running on borrowed time was after the Nyx fight when he was running on willpower alone.[/sp]
You made the right choice picking up FES since P3P is a bad PSP port that gets rid of all gameplay aside from Tartarus and includes FeMC (Who's none canon and will stay that way forever)which you might think is cool until one of her S.links completely destroys another characters development and another character makes no sense.
I understand you don't like P3P but that bit you said right there is completely untrue. The different presentation doesn't change that pretty much everything from its gameplay before is there, all that's changed is how you see it. You still have all the social links from before, the bonus activities to raise your stats, the random events with your friends, everything involving the school, the flavor text you get from exploring the enviornment, the dorm tapes, and pretty much everything else. In a lot of ways it even adds more since it gives you more things to do in tartarus, and also was the persona game to reintroduce skill cards. Sometimes it really feels like you just have a vendetta against it and you don't wanna accept at all that it does most of what P3 does, just in a different way. I can understand not liking FemMC and her writing, I can understand not liking the more point and click style presentation, I can understand not liking that the anime cutscenes don't happen in it, and I completely agree on the games balance being damaged. Despite all that though, it's still most of what Persona 3 offered. [editline]20th April 2017[/editline]
pretty sure direct commands aren't in fes, but jeez is the answer really that bad
I thought the answer was fine honestly, you just sorta gotta understand it's more like an addon. It's more of a slog gameplaywise unfortunately since it has no social links and it's just straight up dungeoning, but I thought it added some nice stuff regarding the team members you had in 3, and how they deal with how P3 ended. Even if you don't max all your social stats in the first playthrough you'll definitely be able to do it in your second with the help of NG+. Just do what you can and have fun with it!
I fucking love the dungeon 7 bgm. It feels very, "final" in a sense. I mean i have no idea how much game i have left so that might just be an odd feeling i have.
Happy birthday Labrys A few hours late though

I mean i have no idea how much game i have left so that might just be an odd feeling i have.
I just made it there myself. I also love the theme of the palaces being [SP] seven deadly sins [/SP] Even though it's a popular concept they played with it in a fun way and the [SP]sin[/SP] of the final palace definitely represents what it stands for.
I wish I could find a high res version of the mementos map without all the text.
I've been on a SMT spree for my Easter break. I picked Strange Journey, Nocturne, Persona 1 Portable (doing Snow Queen Quest) and Persona 2: Innocent Sin Portable back up after getting roughly 70%~ through each. I beat Persona 1 SQQ a few days ago, just beat Innocent Sin today, I'm at SJ's final dungeon and on the way to Nocturne's final dungeon (although I need to do some more work so I can get True Demon ending and punch Lucifer). Persona 2 is really good! I think my favorite thing is how you can talk to your party members in any room that's not a dungeon, so there's always interaction or dialogue to get from them. I've mentioned my love for Persona 4's 'rest rooms' letting you do this by having characters reference each other's social link progress. Another nice thing about Persona 2 is that they take 'rumours become reality' to it's logical conclusion by having (spoilers for a game you didn't play and already know probably) [sp]Hitler wield the Longinus to send an ancient Mayan spaceship into orbit in order to transform chosen people into Idealians[/sp]. They literally add a new status effect caused by [sp]Longinus Spears and replicas that seal your Persona in the last quarter of the game[/sp] just to make 'shit gets real' into a game mechanic. It's great.

For some reason I can't enter the phansite at all other than when the site first popped up. Got it working yesterday with a VPN but that doesnt work anymore for some reason
http://phansite.net/
The amount of RP shitposting on those forums is great.
I like it when Caroline call me "inmate!"

I don't want to mess with overly archaic gameplay mechanics.
the gameplay mechanics for Persona 2 are still good. Though you can't play Eternal Punishment with the new spiffy refurbishing they did for the PSP like Innocent Sin because AtlusUSA didn't localize that for some reason.
I like it when Caroline call me "inmate!"
I love how she stresses the T, actually I love pretty much everything she says. I like Justine's design better though.

I can still enjoy the game a lot but those bits kinda make it hard for me to go back to it [editline]21st April 2017[/editline]
What kind of SMT games are available on the vita and which one would you recommend? Persona 2 is a lot smoother and id say it has the best story in the franchise, so definitely check Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment out
I knew there were problems with the translation, but there was just a question that was based on an acronym in English that... no one uses. To the point where the only references to the acronym was a single urban dictionary entry with less than 100 views, and posts about Persona 5. It was easy to figure out, but that question was just nonsense.

Unfortunately I sold my 3ds for a vita. I still think incredibly highly of SMT4 and it was really the title that drew me into the entire series, next to Soul Hackers. I think I might get P2 then once I finish P5. Are there some ways to play Digital Devil Saga? The OST is just so good, haven't played it myself though.

If you can get a 3DS later it's a better system for old SMT though as a lot of them got remade for the system. For DDS, either emulate it or buy it on PS3 through PSN. PS3 does well with the PS2 era games
Oh really, I thought the PS2 games on PS3 were shite. I remember a friend of mine playing FF7 on ps3 and it ran like absolute garbage. I still rock the SMT4 soundtrack in my car, one of the best game soundtracks I've heard. It just fits the game so well. Don't know how Apocalypse is, heard it was more like an expansion of sorts and pretty juvenile.

It's the reasoning as to why if he dies in combat the whole team loses- it's Nyx or whatever coming early. It's literally the whole reason death arcana is part of him with scarflad and jailboy.[/sp]

Unfortunately it's the only way you can buy them beyond ordering a PS2 copy off of ebay, so you either have to emulate it on your PC and fiddle with it or you go with the PS3 versions which work fine for the most part, if not perfect. I didn't really think Apocalypse was juvenile. I can sorta see where people get that but it's more of a punk vibe. My only real complaint was they went a little too hard on focusing on the theme of relying on others versus being independent, and it didn't do it in the more neutral way that SMT tends to handle moral conflict. Still fun, and I enjoyed its story, but not quite what I like out of SMT. The story isn't quite as well done as IV's, but it's much more solid from a gameplay perspective and has one of my favorite final bosses ever in a game. If you liked IV there's not really much reason you wouldn't enjoy it for the most part. [sp]He survived the car crash due to the Dark Hour and his potential, they're pretty clear about that being around the time he first experienced it. Nyx got sealed in him after the fact by Aigis. They never said Nyx was giving him life, only that Nyx was inside him and that was why Thanatos was inside him alongside his normal persona.[/sp]
