I think I might give this game a try tonight, still looks kind of intruiging. Might be a good way to spend the weekend. Anyone knows how well it runs on pc and if it supports ps4 controllers? I suppose not.
with all the shrubbery around i got slight dips in shadowy areas but it runs at a pretty solid 60 most of the time (980, i7 5820) as long as you have something to connect ps4 controller to pc it'll support it probably will work just fine

I always hated playing with a ps4 controller and having the xbox buttons displayed on screen. Honestly, I would rather prefer getting it on ps4 but I think a higher framerate might really benefit the overall gameplay and feel.
If you have a PS4 Pro you can play in 1080p at 60fps (or 4K at 30)
If you have a PS4 Pro you can play in 1080p at 60fps (or 4K at 30)
This might be a bit off topic but this ps4 pro business is really annoying. I really enjoy playing on a console, sitting on my couch and just playing. I got a pretty good rig but I kind of discovered that I really dislike playing on a desk but I don't like shelling out a lot of money just for a ps4 pro to get a higher framerate. This really irks me.
What about in-home streaming, or just getting a long-ass HDMI cable to plug your PC into the TV? [editline]19th May 2017[/editline] Something on-topic, are there any implants that increase your stamina pool? I found some for health but nothing for stamina, and the gear I use only reduces stamina drain from dodging and blocking, not attacks
there are yes but they're equally as useless as most of the other implants

I'm having trouble with pax, is this game agility oriented or something? I got fuck all stamina for dodging, and tanking is nonexistent with the heavy gear Uh nevermind I killed him, turns out I was sprinting too much thus the stamina drain
I'm having trouble with pax, is this game agility oriented or something? I got fuck all stamina for dodging, and tanking is nonexistent with the heavy gear
For PAX the key is positioning and move manipulation. You want to stand under its legs and get it to stomp to build up the threat metre. Once it's filled it'll be open to take real damage once you figure out how to stagger it. The bosses in this are a Marathon, not a race. You need to get just a couple of hits in and back away. If you already know how to stagger it here's a tip [sp]you can stagger PAX by hitting its leg while the other is raised, allowing you to vastly increase the speed of the fight.[/sp] Late game spoilers: [sp]PAX won't ever be a problem for you if you beat Black Cerberus, since you have to fight 3 PAXes during his boss fight.[/sp] I beat the game this morning. It's shockingly good. Much like LotF it gets weaker near the end but it's still solid the whole way through. The NG+ is pretty cool too. I wasn't expecting [sp]to be immediately ganked by an advanced enemy as soon as the game started.[/sp]
Man it does really feel that this game is agility oriented I'm in the second location and my god the amount of "your hits will do fuck all until I do some sort of attack and then you have an opening, too bad your attack speed is too slow to actually be useful in four out of five tries!!!" enemies is insulting (looking at you three-wheeled bots and the bullshit dog bots) Like I feel like I'm supposed to dodge, connect one or two fast attacks, repeat, because tanking in this game is NONEXISTENT Yeah and why does blocking leaping attacks seem so random
Just found this on the community forums
* Hold your Block button and press your right stick up to jump or down to duck. * If you attack during the duck or jump, you will execute a counter-attack (a rising knee or a down punch with your off-hand)
Am I blind or does the game seriously not teach you this stuff? Those are not as obvious as regular counter-attacks
Quick question: How long it takes to finish for the first time the game?
Quick question: How long it takes to finish for the first time the game?
It took me about 23 hours. I know for a fact that I didn't see everything though. [editline]20th May 2017[/editline]
Hah, if you pause the game during a kill animation you get a cool little screenshot interface :v:
God fuck I spent so much time trying to beat Big Sister 1/3 the "correct" way to get the better weapon with elemental damage, and now almost all the enemies in the next area have elemental resistance :/

It's odd really, the game has contextual, in-game environment hints that use your control scheme. Then there are some that only show up using the controller scheme. I just don't get it.
Someone on the forums mentioned using block + the scroll wheel, so you might want to try that :v:
Really? Huh. I'll go try that out later. It'll make some things a little bit easier if that's what it is.
Yo what's the weapon that balances attack speed and damage? I'm using the imperator, it hits hard, very high scaling but is slow as shit. The nearest alternative is some staff I have, but its scaling is very low :(

Staves and twin-rigs were too low damage; heavy-duty and single-rigs were too slow.

Wow, these beta patches are significant.
Care to recommend anything?
i've been using the chainsword since the beginning
i've been using the chainsword since the beginning
Yeah, it can carry you a long way. Won't find a better one-hander for a good ways in.
The chainsword you get at the start is good for most of the game. Later on you can get a security sword which does energy damage, which I found to be one of the strongest and most well rounded swords. There are others which are stronger against specific enemies but the security sword does high physical and high energy damage so it's good against everything.
The V2 of the flame arms is incredible
Aww they patched the drop attack fall damage bug, I really liked not having to wait for exo-lifts when going down :/
Aww they patched the drop attack fall damage bug, I really liked not having to wait for exo-lifts when going down :/
WTF? Didn't they see my video? I specifically said "Pls don't fix"
