To be more serious about it, the desync beta is actually pretty good. Other players don't look "floaty" anymore, not drifting over to their position awkwardly. Even "desync fixing" mods still had that issue. You can even see how long other players take to reload, though this seems to be a bit buggy as it often skips the reload animation entirely or finishes too early. Enemies are accurately synced for the most part, to the point where you can actually see other players shooting them instead of shooting at a wall and randomly seeing a cop die.
Animation wise however, I'm not very impressed. I mentioned that player animations aren't "floaty", but now they're just "snappy" in a bad way. If a player were to look from left to right, for instance, they would immediately snap to looking right (or at least do it really fast). Walking animations suffer from players sliding around occasionally. A bit of smoothing would be nice, but not as much as it was before.
The Bullpup animations are a nice addition, but the left hand is in a position where it's kinda holding a vertical grip but not really. It's just awkwardly slanted, probably so they didn't have to make a Bullpup animation set without a vertical grip. The animation set is also broken for bots, as you can see in the first screenshot above.
Seeing melee charging on other players is alright, but the animations are a bit weird for some weapons (and especially hilarious on the Spear of Freedom). The fist animations are also broken, as shown in the second screenshot.
Some weapons still don't work very well with the current animation sets, either clipping horribly or just having awkward reload animations (or both). Did I mention that they didn't make animations for the Overkill pack weapons? They did take the time to update the (still) awkward bow animations though, which magically have their string drawn back even though the hand doesn't move at all.
As for the enemy animations, I don't like them too much either. They point their bodies directly at you instead of standing at a slight angle like they used to, making them much easier to shoot. The stationary crouching animations also look like they're presenting their crotch to you. The Bulldozer also (inadvertently?) got a melee buff, because he punches [i]incredibly[/i] fast with no windup.
Basically, the enemy/player sync is much better but the animations still need work. They're an improvement, I guess.

I need help with persistant crashing. No clue why, not sure where else to turn for help. Already posted on the Payday subreddit. No mods are installed. This was not an issue in the past.
Been crashing non stop for a fair while now, both in regular Payday 2 and in the Desync Beta. No mods are installed. Within about one minute of killing enemies, framerate starts to stutter and the game crashes. Crash.txt points to issues regarding cop coding. My only guess was I installed the mod [URL="https://modworkshop.net/mydownloads.php?action=view_down&did=19336"]New Coppers[/URL], played 1 heist, attempted 1 more with a friend and then uninstalled fully, since the custom units caused the host to crash.
There's no BLT files installed, and I've verified my game. There's no mod_overrides that could cause this either. I have no clue how to solve it. A full reinstall is one of the last things I would like to try.

Hey, first time posting here. So I've recently re-downloaded PAYDAY 2 and have tried out the basic missions and I was wondering what kind of tips/guidelines you could give to a beginner cause even after that I still feel a bit weird playing it since I'm not used to playing these kind of games.

Is it possible to remove the high-pitched noise from flashbangs through modding or such? Tinnitus is a bitch and hearing the same sound in the game makes me feel uneasy (and it also reminds me that I've got it in the first place, making me lose focus on the game and shift it towards the tinnitus itself). I'm not talking about removing flashbangs altogether, since that's kind of cheating. I mean just the removal of the sound effect.

i believe hawks sound pack has a flashbang sound thats got less punch and no high pitch noise, but im not for certain

The 'bullet hit your armor' noise is super fucking loud though. Health loss is even worse. Couldn't stand the pack for that.
