Only the base game is free not the DLC.

Nothing happens if you owned it prior. You'll have to buy a package that's priced based on what you own at a max of $45 (probably including not owning any of it nor the base game)
The sale before had all DLC as $28~
So it could be $30 if all you got is base game.
Ugh, I just realized why I dont try to do masks, I lack half the colors and materials that you get dropped by cards. Is there a standalone mod of GoonHud's ability to buy/unlock the materials and colors, or am I going to have to install an extremely outdated GoonHud just to unlock em.

Going back to the game after a long time not playing, when is Overkill gonna fix the Chromatic Aberration glitch? It still doesn't remove it completely, there's still an outline around the models that I need to use a patch to remove every time.

Yeah. I was also a little ticked to see I still need to use the shadowmap mod for the game to run at a decent framerate. The default ugly filter thing looks awful and wrecks performance.
Does the shadow map mod even work still? Or has there been an updated version?

There's an updated version but it's crash roulette on my system. It'll crash at random loading maps.

I think when you play with AI it spawns the guns they use in the map somewhere and then just gives it to them when it goes loud. I've found all 3 of my ai's guns in Art gallery before all jammed together in the security office.
Carried an infamy 20 player on hoxout who couldn't stop dying, get kicked at the van on day 2.
Forgot why I hated this community so much but now I remember.

To be fair when I started playing way, way back when in the CCE beta I did my first heist on Hard and then never went on anything other than Overkill.
At the same time however I came straight from PD:TH and it's 145+ difficulty, so at the very least I mostly knew what the fuck I was doing.
Overkill is easy, everything under Overkill is pretty much a joke. But to be brand new to the game and try the harder difficulties when you don't have the basics down is just silly, indeed

Just start on lower difficulties and learn how the mechanics work
don't jump into a Mayhem or DW game with an incomplete perk deck or an AMCAR
The kicking kinda stops after you reach 100+ hours and you have a complete perk deck. Because that's what is triggering NGBTO/NGBTM (Newbies Go Back To Overkill/Mayem) in lots of pub lobbies.
Some people also restrict the equipment and such, which is kinda stupid. The only reason I would use NGBTO is to auto kick cheaters.
I usually restrict by levels and time too (back when I used it, anyway), because it was tiring to kick 2-hour noobs, who are sure that they can handle Deathwish with empty Crew Chief and level 30.

Don't join high difficulties as a newbie and you'll be fine. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to do a Mayhem/Deathwish run and someone who's NOT built for it joins. I don't like kicking people but you're just going to weigh the team down.
I'd say play Overkill to avoid getting kicked but NGBTO kicks on that by default now so
