Does anyone have a dodge build that works for them consistently on Mayhem or Death Wish? Trying to put one together and it just feels poor. Akimbo pistols are so clunky and gross too.
Weapons, perk deck, etc.

when i use dodge builds i usually use the cavity 9mm and the broomstick for full dmr build that can give 3 concealment, with hostage taker for health regen on top of dodge. not for everyone but health regen helps imo

I mainly use maniac now because it's a solid deck and it helps the entire team. But the idea of a fixed maximum amount of damage absorption means it's severely weakened on DW and OD.
Would really appreciate more team-oriented perk decks. Sicario doesn't count because it's basically smoking your own team, as if all the flashbangs and police smoke isn't enough
If you make a teammate mess up with a Sicario smoke, you're blue blazing them
Yeah. Sicario is PD2's version of Killing Floor's firebug class. The true endgame is blinding your teammates.
Gambler is still pretty decent of a perk deck if you want to heal and supply others.
I enjoy Biker for loud armor builds. For those who haven't tried it:
Each kill by you or team restores your health and armor.
You have a max of 10 restores, each with their own individual 15s cooldown.
The less armor % you have, for every 10% 1s is dynamically removed from all cooldowns (max 10s removed, max 5s remaining).
The less armor % you have, the more health % is restored on kill.
the less health % you have, the more armor % is restored on kill.
I like how the last two work in tandem. If you or the team consistently get kills while your armor is broken, you'll keep getting Armor Gates. If you have the skill that grants you and your team speed buffs on armor break, you can get your ICTV ass to haul it real fast.
It heals much much faster than Grinder, though of course there's the limits. Biker will immediately give you 50% of your health back if you nuke 8 guys right now. Grinder will give you 70% of your health back over the next 40 seconds if you nuke 8 guys right now.

I typically use crook, I love the light ballistic vest.
i actually think crook, with its balance of dodge and armour, is pretty fucking nifty, especially considering how unreliable dodge is
i think it ends up being much more survivable than rogue simply because you have some armour to fall back on
i dont understand daily side jobs. i got 9/10 for delivering coke, did a coke job again, came back and it switched to some other job (killing tazers i think?), did another job, came back and it switched back to coke but with the progress reset
I don't understand why dailies are some times impossibly complex and monthlies are "idk do it with nothing"
also that there's no way to flag lobbies for doing dailies/monthlies/achievements
Anarchist and Dragon Breath rounds go really well together. The fire damage also regenerates some armor.

you pair that with some good health regen from hostage taker and you've got everything baby
I also really dig the aesthetic of a lightweight vest under a suit
I only ever do armor if I'm playing Chains and complete dodge if I'm Jacket since armor is heresy on him
it shouldn't bug me the way it does seeing Jacket in ICTV
is it me or payday is shaping into a very very good game
im having fun with it after 4 months of not playing it
