they mention "third person players", are they adding in a 3rd person mode?
they mention "third person players", are they adding in a 3rd person mode?
I interpreted it as players will now have a third person revive animation when they revive other players, kind of like when you look at a bot reviving another player they take the needle out and stab them, as opposed to the current situation where another player just stares at a downed player to revive them. Edit: On another note, the desync beta is in a beta branch of the game and not in the final branch of the game. Is this right? I haven't been keeping up with the game updates and news, so I'm just wondering

There's a larger amount of players, both old and newbies in this Beta than past Betas, since all the new changes attract players. Around 50k last I saw.
I gotta know how that animation works if you keep canceling at the last second and starting over I'm just imagining the guy nearly standing up then just falling down and having to do it over and over again
is the animation involving the character actually lifting the downed person? if it is, then id say it probably be like left 4 dead where if you cancel it they just fall down awkwardly
It's the same animation that Bots use to revive you. The only difference is that you don't need to be sitting down exactly to the left or right of the player, and you can still look around while doing so. Which causes some funny shit like looking up and down so you keep jabbing the needle into their crotch. From what I've seen, it makes the reviving player visibly crouch too. The devs are looking into a bug in the beta that causes the model for shields (the enemy type) to not match the position, specifically the rotational orientation, of their shields (the equipment). If you happen to catch this behavior on video, please post it and I'll forward it along.

Hello everyone, I've recently gotten back into payday after a year long break, and coming back to it I want to ask what are some tips for dealing with higher level crime spree levels. Such as any particular build or way I should be playing?

I also used ARs with silencers + BE during my spree, but I feel like they lose their effectiveness pretty quickly, although they still did their job well.

Is it cheating if we do a stealth mission successfully on One Down difficulty by killing all of the civilians in the building? Lmao we did GO Bank and Bank Heist by walking in, killing everyone, and doing the work. We were actually lucky for Bank Heist as we didn't have any extra ped spawns.

Scripted pedestrians will also enter the map and take up stationary positions over time, and they count against the four. A civ on the park bench out front, or one leaning against the ATM in the bank lobby, both count. Killing all civs to stealth GO Bank is second only to tying them all up and leaving them behind the bank. There's a finite number of civilian spawns on GO Bank, too- it's just that a new set of them occur during the timelock process. I believe Big Bank is the only one with infinite civilians.

My friends and I have been doing this on any heist where it's possible ever since that fugitive perk that reduces cleaner costs came out. The small amount of money is well worth it to relieve the stress of yelling at the same idiot civilian every ten seconds to stay on the damn ground.
I was doing a crime spree with a friend, on Big Bank. A shield pushed me into the space between an open door and the wall. My friend got downed and the bots didn't rescue him, or appear to take any notice of him at all. So, I was stuck behind the door unable to move, and I couldn't use the Instant Custody mod since my friend was already in custody, and I didn't want to fail the spree. I tried to get a hostage whenever cops appeared where I could see them, but to no avail. I then had the bright idea of inviting another friend to try and get the first out of custody, but didn't take into consideration the fact that newly joined players spawn on the host, so he was stuck behind the door as well. An assault break came and went without any hostage trades taking place. Then, to top it all off, who else but the Captain showed up to lock the assault and swiftly crush any dreams of getting a hostage trade to happen. I love this game, thank you Overkill.
Does the team ai also ignore you if your head is obstructed from an object like the guard ai?
Is there a mod that turns the main menu background into a full greenscreen, I need one so I can put in too much effort for a joke that probably wont get any return, by taking screenshots of the payday masks in different angles and a nice greenscreen will make cropping/keyeing quicker.

Here is a nice memory from the Payday: The Heist Steam forums. http://imgur.com/a/5DmZg
just checked, 162051/658893. I don't really check often, not that it's discouraging, but there's no point to. I just do it for an hour or so each day, provided that I have the time/not busy enough. it's sort of replaced what binding of isaac did for me, which is just brainless activity while I listen to a podcast. except with this, I can literally alt-tab, do work that needs to be done, and then scavenge for ammo every minute or whatever. I got bored one night and did some calculations based on projections and that I probably won't hit every single day until I get it done, and i'd actually finish on the very last day of 2017. on the plus side, since the shield change, kills went from 2-2.2k an hour to 2.4-2.7k an hour. just a lot more tasers, so a lot more wasted ammo.
Oh btw we should connect sometime- I've found a slight modification to sentry placement on the bridge that's pushed me up to ~1.4k per 30 minutes.
the only build I ever enjoy is a lightweight ballistic vest silent killer dodge build no matter how many other builds I try, this is the one I always fall back on
I always fall back to anarchist suit dodge build with akiimbo pistols
