What the fuck kind of duct tape is this game held together with that these two completely and utterly unrelated things can cause a crash
I feel like it might be linked to that achievement where you need to kill 666 officers with a shotgun while wearing the pumpkin mask It seems the most logical conclusion but with Diesel you'll never know
don't know why those achievements and masks have been so problematic there's been like 6 patch notes/fixes dedicated to shit going wrong with them
God Diesel seems like it's way, way worse than its worth
The difficulity in this can be very inconcistent though. The better your CPU is, the harder it gets. Almost everybody in my lobby get shredded because their build doesn't work with this many cops in a room. Especially when snipers react almost instantly.
When I first heard of this I thought people were exaggerating, but there were tons of lobbies I joined where one down was easy as hell because the cops were just...brain dead. You'd be standing next to them, and they'd take a good 5 seconds to turn around to face you - easy to just walk through hallways full of police because they're just staring at walls. On my higher end machine? Insta death. It's world's apart, and it's honestly kinda frustrating...mostly just solo stealth though :v:
I think it's really cool that Payday 2 has been running for 4 years on an engine that somehow makes Gamebryo look impressive
God Diesel seems like it's way, way worse than its worth
It's a driving game engine for a first person shooter, what do you expect :v:
I really want to play and enjoy Payday 2 again, but I've never quite found a suitable way to handle my performance issue. For some reason this game just feels unplayable even at 50FPS when there are like 20+ enemies on screen at any given time, and it makes trying to be a marksman a bad experience. 1800+ hours, and I would have kept going if the difficulty update didn't drastically change everything for me. I really hope Overkill finally decides what they want their game to be by the time Payday 3 comes out. If they want it to be a horde shooter, then the engine should do a much better job to support it. And if they don't want simplistic enemies like a horde shooter, and instead opt for a more tactical, sophisticated enemy experience, they don't mash it with any horde shooting elements and enemy numbers like now. It's all I can hope for, since it's pretty obvious my performance level isn't ever returning to what it was like a few years ago.
It's a driving game engine for a first person shooter, what do you expect :v:
I'm all for engine jokes but this really doesn't make much sense It's like cracking jokes about Unreal engine being ancient well no shit engines change over time Diesel was used for one racing game (Ballistics), every other game it's been used for has been a shooter or some sort of action game
I'm all for engine jokes but this really doesn't make much sense It's like cracking jokes about Unreal engine being ancient well no shit engines change over time Diesel was used for one racing game (Ballistics), every other game it's been used for has been a shooter or some sort of action game
Well I do blame the pre-update syncing issues with that simply because how the hell could syncing possibly be that bad, the only kind of game that has that (and make sense because you don't nearly need as many fast updates to the client) would be a driving game.
if it's a driving engine how does payday 2 have literally the worst driving in a video game since maybe big rigs
if it's a driving engine how does payday 2 have literally the worst driving in a video game since maybe big rigs
It's like how old people become really shitty drivers when they get old, regardless of how good they used to be.
It's like how old people become really shitty drivers when they get old, regardless of how good they used to be.
never thought I'd feel sympathy for diesel someone get it a medic bag
I swear I've never seen a game fuck with you harder with its unboxing than Payday 2. The whole "Aww...you almost won these fabulous items! Try again!" is so strong with these crates, especially considering everything is predetermined.
Just press escape (or was it enter)? Brings you straight to the unlock pop-up.

Maybe you can play around with the settings there and find a middle ground.
So, hey fellow heister, I need a little bit of help. My computer is a literal potato and contains the following: Intel 3 2.0ghz. Video card: HD 5500 and 4gb of RAM. The thing is: should I host One Down lobbies? It seems the AI of the cops is linked to the host's machine. So, if my current computer is shite, the AI and reaction time of the cops should be shite, too, right?

I like playing The Golden Grin Casino at 30fps.
Golden Grin is disappointing no matter what your framerate is
Does anyone remember what Counterfeit's internal name is? Like how First World Bank is dlc_red, Rust is dlc_wild.
Nevermind, don't need it. On a side note, dlc_short contains these weird ass npcs: civ_female_hostess_apron_1_immortal ene_secret_service_1_undominatable ene_security_1_undominatable ene_security_2_undominatable ene_security_3_undominatable Fuck kinda heist is that one
Could be the diamond heist.

They made special NPC's for them so people couldn't break them in some silly way.

diet kane, your wrestling videos are making the rounds again :vs: [t]http://i.imgur.com/IILeqMR.jpg[/t]
Guess what, the 2 Australians still in this thread? I updated a thing from 2015. [t]https://modworkshop.net/mydownloads/previews/preview_1664_1503304548_64f39fd1552dc79df7d641e8a4f89e6d.jpg[/t] Link
diet kane, your wrestling videos are making the rounds again :vs: [t]http://i.imgur.com/IILeqMR.jpg[/t]
So does this mean I got the job?
Why does everyone on the payday subreddit suddenly think Ethan and Hila are coming before August?

If I reinstall Payday 2 on another disk, will it wipe my profile? Will reinstalling it from a HDD to an SSD improve anything?
If I reinstall Payday 2 on another disk, will it wipe my profile? Will reinstalling it from a HDD to an SSD improve anything?
Payday 2's save file is saved to your user account's AppData, so you will be fine uninstalling and reinstalling to another drive.
