Been out of the loop for a long time since I stopped playing payday 2. So I'm guessing from what I've read and watched on youtube that Raid kind of sucks and is being called a pd2 mod or gage prehistoric dlc pack update which is a bit of a shame. Just found out (even though the video was posted in may) that STORM looks to be touted as a VR space shooter. Ugh... Here's hoping we get a good game that resembled the concept art shown on starbreeze website.

[/QUOTE] That was moreso because they had a ton of them lying around and had their shit set up already to make them. Also everyone using the same ammunition was great since german squads revolved around the machinegunner. Speaking of which there are way too many german soldiers using mp40s in Raid, but as the game is about as serious as third nipples, that's not too much of a problem. That said, I think the "camp" factor of raid is total shit. The little videos of hitler getting mad miss the mark, and a lot of character dialogue falls flat to amuse. I know it's beta, but i think the game's less than impressive. It really doesn't help that most of the guns seem like pea shooters (i run [I]through[/I] the swarms of enemies sometimes because i can't be bothered shooting them), and the enemy special types are so uninspired/appear too infrequently (i've only encountered officers and flamers, and i don't get what officers are supposed to do) I guess maybe this is a result of just playing normal, but i'll still be using a pea shooter on hard,right?

OVERKILL should fix the AI navigation algorithm.
Even with all the errors it caused though, the desynch beta animations do kind of help improve the quality somewhat I actually like that reloads make somewhat more sense now at the very least

I kind want someone to extract all the character lines from the Raid beta, cause they're just beautiful, everything I didn't get from Payday's character interaction.
Like, some quality of life stuff is nice from RAID, but a lot of it just feels ill-conceived. I'd love to be able to see more of the skill trees and if they ever become unique. As it stands the classes are only different in when they get certain sets of skills, minor stat variations, their weapons selection, and what their warcry does. Which is going to be immensely boring and lackluster once it launches.

Not only would they be spoilers, they also aren't sorted by character.
It'd be really cool if they added some of RAID's basic character interaction into Payday. Just stuff like the quips when a teammate's reloading, or maybe a comment when someone else kills a special. Maybe even some specific lines between two characters, like Hoxton and Houston, or Sokol and Jacket. It could also add more character to the fairly bland and underdeveloped heisters like Wick or, again, Houston. It'd bring some more life to the game without having to write specific lines for every heist. That being said, characters without easily accessible voice actors like Rust, Jimmy or Wolf may suffer for it.
