You see that big blue lit up sign saying "STAR"? The Secret [editline]22nd September 2017[/editline]
So uh, what's your favorite difficulty setting and why? For me, it's Overkill. It's fun trying out forgotten weapons (Lion's Roar) and not dragging the team down because of it. Same thing with builds.
Overkill for the same reasons, or OD to help friends with the completions .
Yessss they're holding off on No mercy. Please give us Nick.
They played Simon's Hold On Tight in the trailer and I'd love to see it as a heist track because I love it.
I looked up Simon on Spotify once and saw something called "outta my league" Kinda like it. Wonder if payday would ever work it in as irony

Overkill for sure because it's the highest you can get where you don't need to min max to be objectively competent Every build flows fine and is passable
Overkill since I can pretty much use any gun I want without having to really change builds.
overkill is insultingly easy. You can use literally any gun and be fine. I don't even get downed on OVK, it's just not fun. It's just a serious sam horde shooter I like Death Wish for at least keeping me on my toes.
I'm horrible at Mayhem, I'm just not used to it.

It's just a serious sam horde shooter I like Death Wish for at least keeping me on my toes.
I think the first part is the selling point It's the most balanced "hard" difficulty. Anything above it and you'll have to commit to some weapons over others. You can still get by sorta on mayhem but the kill flow will be sluggish from the TTK and ammo becomes tight. Plus armor gets less and less appealing. My ideal diff would probably be one down with overkill enemy health values and an armor buff, maybe [editline]22nd September 2017[/editline] Maybe mayhem or level 100 crime spree values
paydays difficulty is so fucked. Anything below Overkill feels like you're playing with cheats, the jump to Overkill to Mayhem is huge, there's very little difference between Mayhem and DW and then OD is just a meme
I think the zeal units are neat, even if the fucking infantry with sniper ammo is annoying even on crime spree OVK [editline]22nd September 2017[/editline] OD units, and lives, mayhem damage and overkill enemy health? That'd probably be my go to
One MAIN problem with the stealth, and this is all the time, is that most of the time the guards unnaturally face away from the stairs they're climbing... like when going up or down them (as can be seen in Framing Frame Day 3 and Shadow Raid at times), their back will be against that wall in the stairwell. Are they that pro at navigating stairs, or is their way of pathing just horrible?
It's too bad mutator sliders can't go downwards iirc, which is strange because it removes reward rather than add [editline]22nd September 2017[/editline]
One MAIN problem with the stealth, and this is all the time, is that most of the time the guards unnaturally face away from the stairs they're climbing... like when going up or down them (as can be seen in Framing Frame Day 3 and Shadow Raid at times), their back will be against that wall in the stairwell. It'd be tolerable if guards and cameras didn't shit a brick at a bookcase moved to reveal nothing or even something because it's so cheap especially with how open the placement is. Raid is doing stealth way nicer imo

So does anyone have any idea of what song we're getting with the Diamond Heist remake? We already have Breach 2015 and apparently the trailer had the song "Hold on Tight" By Vikhund, but is that confirmed?
The trailer definitely had Hold on Tight playing, it's the one from Simon's EP (I bought it because its great)

Mayhem would be perfect if it just had Overkill's enemy health. Having to run up to a cop and empty a 8-10 round burst from most assault rifles in their head to kill them is just plain old boring.

like topic :))

i'm still wondering about 2-bag carry and soundtrack update is it happening?
i'm still wondering about 2-bag carry and soundtrack update is it happening?
2-bag carry was dropped due to issues. Which is a bit silly since Carry Stacker allows you to carry multiple bags of varying weights till you hit a weight / movement penalty limit.
i'm still wondering about 2-bag carry and soundtrack update is it happening?
The technology just isn't there yet.
Doesn't Carry Stacker have some issues if you get downed while using it or something? Or perhaps it's been fixed already. I remember playing Train Heist one time, and the host was using CS. He grabbed multiple bags (either turret or ammo, can't remember), and when he was downed they vanished out of existence, rendering the heist incompletable.
So I made a shotgun build. Mainly invested into Shotgunner to get Overkill Basic (20 points), Armor stuff like Iron Man aced, Bulls Eye aced, Shock n Ave aced, the 50% dmg reduction skill while interacting and the bag movement skill, Resilience Aced, Scavenger basic, silencer skills, Nine Lives and Swan Song aced, and of course, Berserker and Frenzy aced. Good stuff? Weapons are 84 DMG Steakout and 150 DMG Locomotive.
Anyone planning on doing MCM London this year? I think I might, and do a peripherally PAYDAY-related cosplay as Nixon of the Ex-Presidents from Point Break.
2-bag carry was dropped due to issues. Which is a bit silly since Carry Stacker allows you to carry multiple bags of varying weights till you hit a weight / movement penalty limit.
Carry Stacker cheats to do what it does. You're only actually carrying one bag, and the others are simply spawned into existance when you try to drop them. If you stand at the exit with a set of bags, only the bag loot type listed in the corner will be considered for bonus end-screen loot, going into custody often causes all the extra bags to simply vanish if it's not host using it, and it'll sometimes duplicate or delete bags when you're dropping a bunch of bags at once, or more rarely cause the extra speed penalty it incurs to stay around even when you're not currently carrying any bags. Which, if you repeat the process and bug it again, can stack up. Nothing like moving at Artifact speed when carrying literally nothing because you tried to carry and drop two of them too quickly.
i tried one down it took me just a few seconds to decide that this is too much
i tried one down it took me just a few seconds to decide that this is too much
Just shove inspire and swan song up your ass and you'll be a-okay.
