see, I was wanting the eyeball mask because it reminds me of the old Neversoft logo
well, the safe assumption is that the puzzle was actually at least solved. there had to have been some API there that someone had to fill out, otherwise this wouldn't be happening. the inverse of this is that it wasn't solved, and the reward page was finished today on the basis that no one would bruteforce it and all valid entries would happen today, and their method of seeing who finished it was having someone refresh the page until the "Congratulations <null>" changed to someone's name.
that would be a problem, since apparently the running case is that they forgot that they had the single, only use of the steamworks hook on the overkill software website, the party hat redemption, and it was returning all the entries from there.
not-asked-for-assumption: in my brief stints with steamworks, they should be able to figure out who the correct person was, even if two people, one from the housewarming, and one from the puzzle, filled it out at the exact same time. one should be traced to "hey, put this steam package in my account!" and other should say "hey! put my name on this website."
I don't understand why they can't do the pencil codes like they did for the party hat codes? It would certainly stop people from tearing each other apart.

I gotta say, bots are one of the best features this game's added
I like playing online but it's so much easier to find games when I can just play casually with bots. It feels a bit lonelier for SURE but there's less worry.
Also this is dumb but it's fun to be able to roll the classic heists with the original gang.
I liked the ex-dozer concept better when he wasn't the "functional, nerdy psychopath" that's now been conceptualized. at the same time, maybe a gruff military dude would be pretty drab too.
also the eye mask is cool, but there's no way it'd ever be the default mask for a heister.

I'm not super into any of the create-a-heisters so far, I think they all are trying too hard to stand out instead of meld wiht the game
The game trolled me so bad yesterday. I spent 6 coins to reroll a heist and I ended up getting the same heist, then I spent another 6 coins for the second reroll and I got Big Bank. We pick that, load the heist and ends up being the heist we were avoiding.
Like... Come on, I already have a hard time getting coins (Since I don't want to cash out yet) yet the game outright steals them from me anyway, this is ridiculous.

I thought dallas was pretty cool until he called cops "campers" during grenade lines and also turned into a whiny brat during the basic how-to heists
I know the COP pack is not coming back but I wished we had some other way to get the mega masks, it sucks to be taunted by the 12 or so super cool masks whenever I wanna buy a mask

you know it would have been nice to know about the mega mask creation thing before it ended, because then peoples who know they'd suck at creating a mask wouldn't participate
It felt like more of a team effort, but only one guy got the main reward.

this just makes me wish we had a mask workshop
They probably haven't done it yet because masks aren't monetized so they can't compensate the people submitting them like TF2 can and like they already do with skins.
Hopefully they decide to make one that warns the submitter that they are doing it for free because I'm sure a lot of people do not care

I love the bot customization. I wish the cop spawns weren't fucked, but it's a great great addition. Feels more proper payday to me, to be able to choose how I want to experience the game with who etc

yeah, that kinda bothers me about this whole thing. they have this big convoluted puzzle that the whole community comes together to solve, and then they only give the prize to whoever was first to type the answer in.
I wasn't involved in the whole codebreaking process whatsoever, so I don't care as much, but it would probably piss me off a lot if I were.
