as fun as the new bots are they will still be eviscerated by a swat turret, which is good
sending out codies now
Many thanks!
I tried new bots on Mayhem Undercover and the number of cops simply overwhelm, I'm not able to finish it.
They probably haven't done it yet because masks aren't monetized so they can't compensate the people submitting them like TF2 can and like they already do with skins. Hopefully they decide to make one that warns the submitter that they are doing it for free because I'm sure a lot of people do not care [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] a mask safe would be a nightmare I really hope they don't go down that road
they're compensating skin makers?
sending out codies now
You're a babe, shotz [t]http://i.imgur.com/J2IxsQ1.png[/t]
yeah, that kinda bothers me about this whole thing. they have this big convoluted puzzle that the whole community comes together to solve, and then they only give the prize to whoever was first to type the answer in. I wasn't involved in the whole codebreaking process whatsoever, so I don't care as much, but it would probably piss me off a lot if I were.
This is why I refused to participate. I saw this coming and thought it was not worth the effort if just one to a handful of people were going to get something out of it. It reminds me of the overdrill secret in PD:TH, except kinda worse to a point.
https://modworkshop.net/mydownloads.php?action=view_down&did=19614 Behold. A strings mod for the loading screens.
So, has anybody found some interesting weapons combinations for the crew? Just to preface this, I have Better Bots running in case that affects anything. I've actually given my entire crew M308's and they fire them full-auto very accurately, the damage is lower than what the M308 does of course, I think it's actually 35 per hit. But if you guys really want to see some shit, give everybody in your crew a Buzzsaw 42, it's a sight to behold. To somebody who knows the internals of the game, do modifications matter for bot weapons? Also, what are the most damaging weapons crew members can have equpped? I know it was said NPC weapons are affected by ROF and magazine sizes, so I wonder what the best all-around choices for crew members is.
well the most damaging team AI weapon is currently the reinfeld/mosconi. BUT. if you look into charactertweakdata at the very bottom for difficulty set _sm_wish you'll notice they're giving bots a 15x damage multiplier at 3m and a 7.5x dmg multi at 100m. :what: that totals up to 6750 DAMAGE. so if you wanna play OD with minor hitches just give all your bots a mosconi shotgun.
IIRC bot weapons only take into account the weapon itself, any attachments are cosmetic [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Probably best that attachments stay cosmetic because it'd be a coding nightmare as well as be OP as fuck if you gave all your bots cheesy as fuck weapons (foregoing bugged weapons like the mosconi and 870) like DMRs or.. well, DMRs
they're compensating skin makers?
Pretty sure a percentage of the skins and safe revenue goes to the contributors Edit: I suppose lolnoob would know, so I guess they are not as gracious as TF2 is.
Pretty sure a percentage of the skins and safe revenue goes to the contributors
Oh man, I wish. Our compensation was just all the skins in the safe. That's it.
Oh man, I wish. Our compensation was just all the skins in the safe. That's it.
I suppose that's not so bad, but tf2 actually did this [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] I suppose the way they work it wouldn't be too fair
We just get a steam key that upon redemption gives us all the skins in the safe in mint condition. Skin makers usually then go and sell the skins they don't want and get some cash from them. Especially the legendary which pretty much sells for around $100 with ease on day 1. EDIT: For the people with OCD who want to own every DLC, they do count as DLCs :badzing:
I suppose that's not so bad, but tf2 actually did this
I don't recall TF2 doing that, they give contributors a self-made item and a cut of the key profits. Even if they're screwing TF2 contributors hard right now, they still get paid in actual cash.
yeah, we can't have it like that because no paid drills on our end.
Here's my mediocre attempt at #MyHeister. Saxon. A football hooligan gone big time. He wears a welding mask with St. George's Cross spray-painted on. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Cv8GoKY.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/FnBX5cY.png[/t]
So I've decided to get Robbedacop legit, and I have a foolproof plan. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=892936753 Roll back to update 118.1, activate Hydra, and go to town. Technically not cheating, was in the game before. Not using any illegal hacks or anything, just stuff you could always do with Steam and the vanilla game. 100% kosher*! (* Probably still cheating but I just wanna see what will happen.)
I mean that's a very strained use of the word "legit"
yeah, we can't have it like that because no paid drills on our end.
they make the money from the safe and skin sales on the market [editline]11th April 2017[/editline]
So I've decided to get Robbedacop legit, and I have a foolproof plan. At this point, it seems better to just unlock the statue through illicit means since it's pretty obvious you're unlikely to get it honestly unless you decide to grind it out for days in a row, which I most certainly don't feel like doing. I mean, does it really matter? It's your safehouse after all.

[editline]11th April 2017[/editline] I pulled up my old calculations on Robbedacop by the way. It would take ~4600 hours of standard play, or ~440 hours of hardcore grinding to get that trophy. At 10 hours a day, it would take you about a month and a half.
they make the money from the safe and skin sales on the market
You gotta divide the resulting money (How much was it, not even 10% of every sale nowdays? And OVK would most likely take a cut from it too since they're not Valve and hence don't see any money from the default 5% Valve tax) by 16 different authors (If no one gets more than one entry). The money left is pretty much a handful of dollars during the first month and then even less afterwards. I'd rather get all the money in one go via the safe skins (Sell the ones I don't care about for a hefty amount of money, most likely their top historical price) than to get two bucks monthly.
Holy shit, the amount of optics vs. guns in this game is fucking ridiculous.
Holy shit, the amount of optics vs. guns in this game is fucking ridiculous.
Someone should give you a medal... or a hug. Modding is hell.

you have gone above and beyond the call of duty find me at sakuracon and I'll give you that payday 2 promo hundred dolla bill. Thanks a lot, man!
decided to take a look at the PDTH enemies mod bulldozer model outside of NM [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/96107443445725320/615D4DBCA68CB0DDE763FCC1C9C74EFCB249F9FC/[/t] the model itself is too bright. (like REALLY bright. even regular PD2 units look alot darker then that.) smoothing issues and texturing problems. (it'll be fixed when someone decides to fix it.) and it uses PD2 bulldozer animations. (not sure if it's currently possible to make it use PDTH bulldozer animations. also means that the bulldozer looks at the floor 90% of the time.) IMO what i thought zealdozers would look like was a mix between PDTH bulldozer (the armor) and PD2 bulldozer (the helmet part) for comparison's sake here's what the PDTH bulldozer looked like in PDTH [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/96107443445770492/1603476EF106FBEDC8CEF8CEC479C65BA42A9B8B/[/t] (also if you look closely at captain winters texture you can see the same pattern that the PDTH bulldozer's armor has on it.) as for what i think they'll do with the GB remake: they'll probably do what they did with HS: make every enemy spawnpoint active and change what spawns are in the helicopters. (or they'll completely mess up and forget to change when the units spawn so they spawn before the helicopter gets there and then when the helicopter gets there the "roping down" animation gets skipped.)
