Murderer trying to find the Holy Grail and keep its secret
actually we don't have any delusional psycho of some sort like that in the gang yet we keep getting wacky characters yelling at everyone or serious and professional heister but no one who's actually delusional / is legitimately mentally fucked up
Can I just say how annoying it is that they added an option to disable Chromatic Aberration, and that after all this time, it still doesn't work? I mean, I'm using the Chromatic Patch but it's still annoying.
At first glance I thought the mask looked like chuunibyou robot from One Punch Man. [t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/onepunchman/images/6/69/Genos_profile_anime.png/revision/latest?cb=20161002155041[/t] I know what it's supposed to be.
Anyone else think Kento is gonna be like Hoxton, where we have to finish a heist in order to unlock him as a heister? Would be kinda lame to have so much build up just to not be able to play Kento.
tape recorder chicken man would like a word with you
How is he not wacky?
How is he not wacky?
everyone in payday is wacky, but jacket is actually delusional and completely fucked in the head
tape recorder chicken man would like a word with you
he's somewhere between wacky crazy and serious what I meant was more like he'd act pretty normally but would be seriously fucked up in his mind
he's somewhere between wacky crazy and serious what I meant was more like he'd act pretty normally but would be seriously fucked up in his mind
how exactly would that be conveyed to the player
Lore, whatever heist comes with him, his eventual story arc [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] then again we have like 32 story arcs to resolve so idk
how exactly would that be conveyed to the player
Because he's normal but has obsessive/conspirational goals such as fighting the illuminati or finding the secret "true" word of God?
Lore, whatever heist comes with him, his eventual story arc [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] then again we have like 32 story arcs to resolve so idk
over half the game's heisters have no personality whatsoever, I really don't want more story arcs
they have to finish all of the game's story arcs before support ends btw think about it [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] including that dragan thing that's probably the final arc btw
Or they'll save some of the arcs for 3? It's a possibility.
We know literally nothing about the guy other than he's blonde and wears John Wicks suit. I'll give him benefit of the doubt but at least visually he's far from obnoxious.
Personally I would've liked a different suit color, I purposefully gave my design a tan suit to stand out a bit more and I liked how a few were using different colors like red. My thought is that - at least at first glance - not much to differentiate him from the others visually. He is wearing a vest and not a tie (as far as I can tell) which is a little nice I suppose, but seeing as we already have "dark suit" (Wolf, Bonnie, Sokol, Jimmy) and "all-black ensemble" (Wick) I can't help but think it's gonna be a bit samey once he wears a different mask and some armor. This feels really cool but I can see why everyone seems disappointed I guess. I tried to do something different, kind of a "classy" heister who is not into the money or fame but rather looking to reclaim stolen artifacts. Overkill said they have the right to change the design so they could change the mask to fit the other heisters if they wanted to.

It disables and enables for me. im unsure what you mean
It's not working for me, even disabled there's still an annoying outline around everything. I need the Chromatic Patch to remove it completely.
We need to have the heisters all have suits fitting in the rainbow spectrum I'm not joking either it'd really make them a lot easier to tell apart [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] I wonder if the reason they picked this is because he's wearing something else than a tie Cause Overkill seemed to be obsessed with making new heisters have something unique in their design (Bodhi's lack of a suit, Jimmy's untidy suit, Rust's biker getup, Sydney's rolled sleeves and fingerless gloves, Scarface's pinstripe suit and Leather gloves)

I'm still fairly certain that the winner was predetermined.
Why would they even do that to begin with?
I'm starting to really enjoy the Gewher. I even made 3 versions of it :v:
I already explained a few pages ago. Taking character ideas from the fans is nice on paper, but there's a whole shitload of legal issues that can come of it. Intellectual property law is a tricky thing, especially when it comes to characters of derivative works (i.e; fan characters for established properties). So, if Overkill wanted to avoid the very real possibility of the winner threatening legal action if they didn't like their deal, they would have to do one of two things; A. have a shitload of paperwork lined up to turn over legal rights to the fan character or B. create the contest as a marketing trick, with a predetermined winner already lined up from the start that Overkill already owns the rights to And a few things lead me to believe that it wasn't the former. Firstly, the conspicuous lack of any sort of terms and conditions or fine print on the announcement page for the contest. If this were legit, they would likely have something to the effect of "by participating you allow us full commercial rights to your character" or what have you. More suspicious, however, is how quickly the winner was decided. The submission for August was posted only about 19 hours before submissions were closed, and the winner was announced the day immediately after; as I keep trying to emphasize, if Overkill wanted to be on the safe side of the law with all this, they would want an ironclad contract with the contest winner. I guess it's not unbelievable for a random everyday guy would immediately agree to whatever they say without a second thought, but for it to take them literally less than a single day to get everything squared away seems a bit on the tight side. Hell, that's not even mentioning the fact that the winner was announced in a nicely shot, well-edited dev update video. This means that they had to; Select a winner Get in contact with the creator Gain legal rights to the character Script, shoot, and edit a professional-quality dev vlog All within the span of just over 24 hours. This seems like preposterously fast work to me.

I just solo stealth'd GO Bank on One Down, and man was it fun. It was my first time stealthing the heist so I had no idea what to expect. It went quite well. I killed the guards and the civies, dodged the lasers and got into the vault, when suddenly two civilians walked by and got alerted. And as if that wasn't enough, the phone went off like two seconds later. So I had to patiently wait out the lasers, jump over the desk and rush to the phone, and then shoot and jump out of window to spray down the civilians right before they called the police. It was probably the most hectic moment I've had in the 500 hours I've played of this game.
The rng stuff during Go Bank stealth is pretty cool imo. Except for the 2 Papa Johns cops that require you to use 2 pagers on them.
Is it possible to get the Scrap Metal trophy solo if you're the only one using the perk deck? I know it says 4, but I ask because I've gotten other trophies that have similar conditions in solo play with the bots as my partners. Wondering if the same applies here.
GO Bank is a blast to play, you truly require team work and good coordination to beat the heist. Then someone trips the laser alarm and everything goes to hell. [ignore] Speaking of which, anyone wants to help me get the "Winds of Change achievement?", please? Thanks, Sam, you are the real hero!

This seems like preposterously fast work to me.
A day is more than enough to both pick a winner and make a very brief video about it (Considering that the submission is two days old by now). The entire contest was aimed at people who are already playing the game so doing all of this for marketing would've been retarded since it wont pique the curiosity of anyone who's not already playing the game to begin with. Plus, the game was already on F2P mode for 10 days so that was more than enough. Besides, pulling off this kind of crap when OVERKILL is doing everything they can to get back the trust they've lost years ago is a very poor move, they would only shoot themselves in the foot for barely anything in return. About the TOS, the winner being announced doesn't mean the author accepted it. OVK is free to contact that person afterwards and see if he accepts it. If he doesn't then OVK will simply decline the entry and move on. Not everything has to be in the clear to announce a winner right now. We're getting into Occam's Razor territory here.
What were the terms of the contest? They could just say any entries are owned by Overkill. EZ.
