It's kinda like how people complain a lot about the remakes of PD:TH songs
Payday 2 has it's own style of music which the new versions fit with
Even if some might be better to some, it still fits better amongs the rest of the music in Payday 2
i set the damage grace for tear gas grenades to 0 for shits. it's pretty bad

man i miss the times when the Clarion was the ideal choice for MasterFugi crit builds
I think I'd like to see Payday 3 separate "combat" skills and "objective" skills. Often there's been a time when it's like "...Oh. No-one has drill skills." because what they need to make their combat-build work just can't afford it. It's better now than it used to be, but it's still annoying.
Maybe make it so for every 4 "combat" skill points you get one "objective" skill point, and the objective skills are in a completely separate tree to the combat ones. Stuff like "you now have more cable ties" or drill skills or shaped charges can be in the objective one.

I hope they avoid all the weird and wacky tie ins, it's disappointing that the current meta amounts to crab walking around at full speed hip firing your English crossbow then swapping to an infinite ammo grenade launcher when you go down.

Secondary grenade launchers were a mistake.

I'm waiting for them to go full Saint's Row and the next game is about robbing banks as superheros. Buy the Freeze Ray DLC $$$5.99

Remember it's Canon in the payday universe that psychic powers and clones exist

I wish there was a way to play the beta. I still have the beta game installed, never uninstalled it because it had sentimental value knowing how much the game would change years later.

It's Twitch

Better yet at the start of each heist everyone gets a "role".
Like one guy does the drills, other controls the civvies, Another can mess with cameras and they each get their own mission gear.
Civvies guy would get cable ties, Engineer would get spare drill bits/shaped charges, One guy would get medbags and another ammo so no team is ever without ammo or health supplies.
Then you'd be able to upgrade this gear with points that affect all types of mission gear. Extra uses, more effective, unlock special features etc...
It would allow even more flexibility rather than just one guy has to take points in ammo or medbags or drills or anything like that.
It's Twitch
Actually Twitch using [sp]Jimmy's remote controlled synth clone tech in order to provide a "no job too dangerous" getaway service makes a fair amount of sense. Twitch himself never does the getaway's but uses disposable clones so he can go where no other driver can.[/sp]

the damage is already done at this point. we've completely left any trace of reality behind by now, it's too late to go back.
[sp]unless they pull some bullshit about the events of Payday 2 being in-universe media sensationalism or something I guess[/sp]
I don't have a problem with Payday 2 having a few wacky elements to it. Being realistic all the time would get kinda stale.
It would allow even more flexibility rather than just one guy has to take points in ammo or medbags or drills or anything like that.
Why do people think that restricting player freedom and choice somehow produces more flexibility when that is literally and clearly the exact opposite. Forcing players in to specific roles is inherently less flexible because there is no opportunity to deviate whatsoever.
There still should be a middle point. Get too restrictive and you lose build flexibility but get too lenient and you end up being way too strong (like how it is now).
[sp]unless they pull some bullshit about the events of Payday 2 being in-universe media sensationalism or something I guess[/sp]
I think the best way to go about it would be to just do a soft reset of the "canon" payday has and put you in the shoes of another crew/custom crew for Payday 3, with only slight references to the previous games while keeping names from current universe so companies like GenSec and Murkywater are still around. Story and tone for payday 2 is fucked because it's all over the place, you have serious cool high level shit like rigging elections and theft of legendary artifacts then there's the stupid shit like using a dodge charger to steal nukes and going round rescuing drug mule goats
Or Overkill can come out and say what's canon and what's not
Payday and realism don't mix
It doesnt have to be realistic, just coherent.
It's dumb to pretend paydayis ever realistic
People talk about how TH has a more realistic Christopher Nolan style tone but the game is still about 4 crooks slaughtering 300 police officers at a time
I like the sillier heists. It's like Payday is a TV show. Some episodes have serious content, while others are just there for laughs. It helps us see just how varied their contracts can be.
There still should be a middle point. Get too restrictive and you lose build flexibility but get too lenient and you end up being way too strong (like how it is now).
That isn't an issue of player freedom though, that's a different balance issue entirely. And as I've said before, it'd be better to give the players too much than not enough because at least the players will not be dissatisfied or weak if given too much.
But "too much vs. too little" is entirely subjective. If OVK never made us blatantly overpowered as shit in the first place, one would never feel that they'd be too weak.
Do there exist any trainers that can give me money and exp? I just had to delete my fucking save, and I'm ready to just drop this piece of shit game right now.
