Do you guys remember when people thought Bonnie or Sydney was kind of shoehorned into the gang
I think sangres might take the record
Im not sure why they're adding characters that are just gonna be scrapped for 3
In terms of visual design, Sangres is a big improvement though. Great mask.

Does anyone know what the tattoo on his chest says? Zdann, is there a texture that might show it?

Monterrey maybe, since its where he operated

Of characters that might be in danger I really dont think its Bonnie Sydney or even this guy
The ones in danger are ones that would need to get rights re-approved and/or have missing VAs
So Wolf, Wick, Jacket, Jimmy, Scarface, Rust, and Bodhi are probably the ones in the most danger
I fully expect Dallas, Chains, Hoxton, Houston, and Clover to carry over. Wolf has little chance of making it, as well as Rust. Bodhi and Wick I actually think we could see again, Wick in particular because of how much they have done to tie them together, and there is still another movie to be released and the relationship between Starbreeze and Lionsgate still seems strong. Jimmy is weird, I'd have to know more about the relationship between the two groups. Scarface is dubious but maybe. Jacket, there is no real reason they couldn't, I doubt they'd be unable to get the rights to use him again and its not like they have to get a big name voice actor for a tape recorder. The rest have explicit reason they couldn't.
Given the photo in his room and no elaboration on what the money is for I think there's more than meets the eye to this backstory and that they just haven't wrote it out for us yet
See, I'm ok with that though because that actually allows for character development, and its not as cheap as "Where's my son!?"
Id be really surprised if Sydney wasn't in Payday 3. Cuylenberg shows up to everything they do and seems really into the character, plus she's been placed center stage a few times, presumably because of the receptive relationship her actress has with the team.

I was right, but what's the word in cursive there?
[editline]4th May 2017[/editline]
And what significance does 204 hold? Prison/gang tattoo? Didn't scarface have a similar 200 number in the film that someone pointed out in the immigration interview scene?
I think Sangres design is way too generic tbh, he looks like an enemy from max payne 3
Im picky but Im a sucker for the professional suit and tie agent 47 look
Btw the Akimbo Revolvers aren't affected by the pistol skills it seems. No reload speed effect, no damage boost or accuracy boost.
Sangres
The tattoo in scarface was a trident and not a number my bad
Also in terms of payday 3
My guaranteed characters would be
-Dallas
-Chains
-hoxton
-Clover
-Sydney
-Dragan
-Wick
Possibly
-Jiro
-Houston
-Bonnie
-Sokol
-Jacket
-Wolf
Gone
-Bodhi
-Scarface
-Rust
-Jimmy
I think maybe the new revolvers are classified wrong at some point somehow.
Not only are they not getting the pistol skills, but they don't trigger the menu poses for Akimbo weapons.

They're currently classed as Akimbo Revolvers, which have no skills associated with them.
I do kinda miss having heisters clad in proper suits though
Having them all be unique is nice and all but it had a dress code that was very consistent
There has to be a way to make them more unique and still remain styled that way
They're currently classed as Akimbo Revolvers, which have no skills associated with them.
"Akimbo" seems to work at least. Hopefully they fix this soon
They're currently classed as Akimbo Revolvers, which have no skills associated with them.
Is this also why the Akimbo revolvers don't trigger the unique Akimbo pose in the main menu?

Expected - Dallas, Chains, Hoxton, Houston, Dragan, Clover
50/50 - Sokol (annoying voice, shit character but somehow people like him), Bonnie (who the fuck plays bonnie), Sydney (same case as Sokol), Wolf (could just recast him but I don't see that happening), Jiro (depends of resolution of Kento story arc)
Gone - Bodhi, Jimmy, Jacket, Rust, Wick, Scarface, Sangres, the winning character of that MyHeister thing
i love trying to do biker heist dw with pubs

What a way to express your opinions. Sokol is one of the most authentic Russian characters I heard in a videogame, he sounds very natural.
Bonnie's a little underdeveloped being here as an excuse to use old Clover's lines but her voice is neat and I play her from time to time [sp]stop looking at my sexy arse, shoot the cops[/sp]
Sydney's not my cup of tea and I don't think she fits the gang (rebellious teenager theme, fingerless gloves etc) but her theme is consistent and she's got some character development so I guess that's ok.
Wick stays for sure, after three themed DLCs, confirming that OVK and Lionsgate have a healthy relationship, and that his voice actor is easy to reach, why wouldn't he? Besides, after the success of JW 1/2 we might see more movies in that franchise, giving Wick more excuses to show up in Payday.

Hey, Sangres had to sneak them across the border somehow, clearly they're quite concealable.

The main issue, besides uncertainty that the contract is secure for a new game, is that in John Wick 2 [sp]right after Continental Coins got added and payday was confirmed to be part of the Continental program, Wick broke the rules in the finale of the second film and is exiled. Ontop of this there is a video on Dragan's VA's instagram of him saying "John, you think you can fuck with Payday?" or something like that into a microphone.
It's possible Wick might be enemy #1 someday. We can only hope otherwise.[/sp]
[editline]5th May 2017[/editline]
[sp]In an interview with the creator of John Wick 2 awhile before the film came out he talked about how the 3rd one was going to have a lot of Winston and Charon in it. Perhaps John Wick will find redemption or tear down the Continental, like a coup de tat.[/sp]

[sp]I talked about this extensively before at the time Wick 2 came out, but I hold that Wick is in hiding with the Payday gang. The Payday gang in just a group of four leverages the force of a small army. But all of them together with the resources they have would be a force not even the Continental and High Table could stop, and they're entirely independent. Bain would not put himself and his gang under the purview of anyone else. And Bain won't turn down help, especially not from a legend like John Wick. And this is how I also rationalize the expensive costs the gang pays with coins. For harboring Wick, the Payday gang is being penalized. So while in Wick 2 he can get several weapons and ammo just for a half dozen coins, the gang has to spend that same amount to get a single modification for a weapon.[/sp]

Only time I saw Bonnie in a payday game these past few months is when I was playing solo and one of the bots just happened to be Bonnie.

[sp]The thing is that we're apparently members of the continental now (it said so somewhere ingame, I think the continental coins explanation in side jobs) and that is a lot of heat on all of the members if they break the rules by harboring Wick instead of shooting him on sight. We'll have to wait and see. I think the game is for the most part ignoring the ending of Wick 2 for awhile. It hasn't happened yet in this continuity, I'm thinking.[/sp]
the new perk let us be an actual ninja now
time to wear that ninja mask and drop the smoke while firing arrows and shurikens at cops
I really like Bonnie, she's a heister that I could imagine beating up a pub full of people, maybe it's because I like British gangster films and feel like she could have been plucked from Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Bonnie's a little underdeveloped
That's not what I'd've said about her... :smug:
I really like Bonnie, she's a heister that I could imagine beating up a pub full of people, maybe it's because I like British gangster films and feel like she could have been plucked from Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
That part's nice but it bothers me that she's just there. Not because she loves money like Sangres or Sokol or because she's got personal motivation for it like Jiro, she just knew Hoxton once so she joined. Wick feels a bit like that too but he's a promo character which personally makes it easy to swallow whatever bullshit they make up to bring him on board (Hell I'll even put up with a complete lack of bullshit or any justification whatsoever, like with Jacket, Scarface and Bodhi)
I think it's pretty obvious she has a monetary motivation. Her whole theme is a gambler, a risk taker for great financial reward.
