It boggles the mind that people can still even question canonocity when its fucking canon that we're [i]actually doing the same heists from payday 1 over again[/i]
I think such things as canon and realism were dumped a while back, Payday 2 has been working on it's own logic for quite a while now, why let such things get in the way of fun
Did the first game even have a "cannon"? As far as I could tell, it's just a bunch of unrelated hits with the only thing being the same is who is doing it, and that's about as connected in a cannon as custom Left 4 Dead maps.

Bizarre how John Wick, as a movie franchise, has only given payday recognition in the form of a poster on a wall in the second movie
Not even an acknowledgement of someone like Bain or even a cameo by one of the live action actors, just a poster. John Wick in payday cannot be canon, which is a crying shame because some of the more out-there shit in payday seems sort of plausible in the John Wick universe

also I don't see how the movies has an impact at all on whether or not the actual game's content is canon.
