They mention upgrading to the Ultimate Edition won't be as expensive as buying all of the DLC now, and that [B]the price will adjust on what you're missing[/B], but I'm a bit skeptical.
I've already sunk a lot of money into this and some middle-of-the-road updates left real sour patches, which is around where I quit for good. So I have to weigh the current cost of $28 to grab what I'm missing at 85% off (which is still quite a fuckin' hefty sum considering I already own half, plus the 4 year old game - hate to say) or wait for the undisclosed cost of upgrading to Ultimate. I'm also not sure if my clouded save if fucked from a cheated-stats-for-fun swan song farewell or not.
So uh, no patch today?
Not even for antisphere masks or bug fixes?

Man, I gotta say, Ethan & Hila are some of the chillest people I've ever met and it's gonna be so awesome to work with them. Was in brainstorming meetings for like 5 hours with them yesterday, helped them out with the fan meetup earlier today and just now got back from a dinner with them, Almir, Warren Spector and more, and it's just been a riot. I can tell already this is gonna be just so much fun.
instead of releasing like 10 different flavours of pd2 with the same shitty engine, problems, graphics, and dlc model, why not do 1 new game that's actually good

Something that not a lot of people seem to notice, the Ultimate Edition is advertised to have 18 heisters, meaning that Jacket is included, who is not a part of DLC. So I guess if you get the Ultimate Edition you don't have to buy Hotline Miami 2 Deluxe to play as Jacket?

Tbh, I just hope that Ethan & Hila are written well into the universe instead of just themselves being carbon copies in-game.
I'm not their biggest fan (I have so many gripes with them but that's not for here) and I'm not really that thrilled that they're in the game, but w/e.
