I don't even have a PS4 or $64 but I'm debating on buying it just for that locket.

Well you're in luck on one part, there's also a collector's edition for pc.
I bought the collectors edition on ps4, Kinda annoyed it ships on LATE september
And apparently the PS4 version is releasing on August 15th, according to a recent interview. And on that day, we'll receive a tiny, tiiiiny update on Steam for the game that only fixes a few exceedingly minor bugs. That's what I expect by this point.
I'm priming my fist shake and "Tobbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy", just in case something does (not) happen.
That's the key. Expect the worst to happen. Expect it with every mote of power in your soul. You might not be disappointed.
Tempting to pre-order Undertale on the PSN store, to get that cool ruins theme.

New theme! New music!
Absolutely fantastic.
hopefully, the ps4 version will revive this thread
not likely unless there's new stuff on it, otherwise what all would there be to discuss
not likely unless there's new stuff on it, otherwise what all would there be to discuss
It could bring new people, but I see your point.
I mainly want to know how they will do the gaster and Photoshop Flowey on the ps4/vita
I don't expect that anything new will happen. I expect the story to be left as unfinished as it was initially, leaving those last few threads hanging out there, never to be picked up.
That is what I "expect". I "expect" it with every fibre of my being.

This song sounds like funeral music for Undertale. It feels like its coming to its end in relevance.

It'll be relevant as long as you keep it in your heart.

the undertale leitmotif never fails to make me tear up
Finally reached an ending in the game.
It was really hard for me to finish, because even though I adored the writing, and the game made me truly laugh, the bullet-hell sections were sometimes a bit too much for me, and because of horrible gamefeel, they felt extremely unrewarding. I got through it today (took me 1.5 fucking years) and first got a Neutral ending [sp]didn't kill anyone, apparently only missed Undyne, thought I completed everything I could[/sp] then True Pacifist [sp]befriended Undyne and got back to the King[/sp].
I have to say, the game didn't really win me back after that annoying [sp]cow son/brother boss fight that keeps reloading[/sp].
I looked a bit online, and it made my head spin: apparently there's stuff like Post-Genocide, Post-Genocide True Pacifist and Post-Genocide-Post-Genocide - what the fuck? Is completing the game in any of these playthroughs necessary to get a "fuller" experience? Because I feel like I'm missing out. For example, I kept hearing Megolovania every-fucking-where and it never showed up for me.
Also, I expected the game to be a lot more mindfucky and meta, I guess? Is that also something I missed out on by playing the way I played?

Megalovania is just in Genocide mode which it sounds like you didn't do. Shit also gets a lot more meta at the ending of that. To do genocide mode, kill all bosses obviously but also everyone in each area until you stop getting random encounters. Save points will tell you how many random encounters are left. It adds some new boss fights in place of the others but if you don't like bullet hell stuff then you're gonna hate them lol because they're the hardest fights in the game. You'll know you're doing it right if the dialogue is significantly different.
Genocide mode is the only time where stuff gets changed but it's still the same layout basically, just different dialogue and some new boss fights, but the 'Post-Genocide, Post-Genocide True Pacifist and Post-Genocide-Post-Genocide' stuff is all rather silly. There's like one minor detail that's change if you play the game again after doing genocide mode and it's just for the endings. It's not a big deal and you're better off just youtubing the changes.
then True Pacifist [sp]befriended Undyne and got back to the King[/sp].
i'm assuming you also went to the true lab before going to the King as well, right?
[editline]5th August 2017[/editline]
and yes genocide mode is just as tedious as it sounds. i just watched a compilation on youtube of the changed stuff because I couldn't be bothered doing that much grinding lol.
My favorite thing about the genocide run is the change in music to a minor key and slower tempo after killing everyone in an area. It's such a simple thing and completely changes the atmosphere from cute and innocent to desolate and horrifying. Good Stuff.

Do a Genocide run. It will answer pretty much all the questions you have.

And I think that's kind of the point, isn't it? The constant grinding and desensitization, having to kill everything just to progress the dark path you're on. And in the end, is it worth it? Sure, you get a few tougher boss fights and more story, but after all you've been through to get to the end of it, is it REALLY worth it?
All that death, all that chaos, just for some more story and yet more unnecessary violence. You've got to ask yourself, with all the information out there already, is there any real point beyond senseless, heartless murder that you could do better in all manner of other worlds?

Toby you lying, clever dog.
Exciting new content...!
I think I'll actually play through this game again for the new content. So is the dog shrine room the only new addition..?
I don't know, it's only been two days since it hit PS4, and I'm not sure we know everything yet.
Also, did the Steam version update or is the update just on PS4?

Only the PS4. There is no update for it on steam.
Does anyone know how they do Mettaton's essay portion of the fight on consoles? Is the attack just not there anymore?

It just prompts the on-screen keyboard to appear, apparently.
Did that comic Toby promised ever come out?
