So,who has managed to beat the bonus boss in the prison, the one you need to find the three key pieces to unlock? He's a real piece of work, I can do anything but beat him.

Well... I'm confused.
I beat that lil guy on my first try, but I had to use a good bunch of healing items. If you beat him he gives you a devil tail, which is a piece of equipment but doesn't seem to do anything other than raising def, atk, and magic. The fight is pretty cool, not as difficult as sans' but certainly challenging. Remember to go back to the old shopkeeper after beating him!
Also if someone hasn't noticed susie and notsriel make different comments when you try equipping them things.
Chara talks about moving on to the next world at the end of the genocide route, so I think that might be what's going on here.

Anyone got any idea what the dark world even was? I know the implication when you leave is that it's like it was just you mucking about in a classroom (what with the stuff strewn on the floor) and I'm not exactly sure what the significance of that is, or how you really got there in the first place

watching a friend attempt to murder everything rn, but every mob just seems to run away after you die, and the bottle cap dude with legs is impossible since he just keeps healing all the damage
It's pretty clear that "tomorrow" will be the next chapter- with comments that Kris doesn't "look like they got much sleep last night" and other such subtle references to today's chapter ending.
I got startled like fuck from that, fuck Chara, Gaster is the more interesting guy.
I hate the fact that were was no Papyrus anywhere, I get that Sans is the poster boy but I like his bro as well.
About that.
It's definitely the toughest fight in the game, it's a battle of attrition and you just have to keep draining its health and hopefully tire it enough to cast pacify.
Also there's no genocide route for this one, fighting actually just makes everyone run away, you earn 0 EXP either way.
but does everyone still show up in the ending? what if you try and murder the last boss?
Fight stops at a certain HP threshold against the King, and the same outcome plays out as you do in a Pacifist playthrough. Maybe there's some minor dialog changes I didn't notice too much but otherwise it is the same ending beat for beat from what I've noticed. Maybe there's gonna be more to it in Chapter 2 or a future update for this.
Though it does kind of reinforces the idea the intro had where it said 'you had no choice' here. And I guess in a character-wise sense, since you're with Ralsei all throughout the game, I'm guessing his already plays a key role in making sure even if you become violent, no one dies at least within his watch.
The whole "your choices don't matter" thing is honestly reminding me a lot of the Halloween Hack. I remember that being a pretty major theme in that, too.
