i mean it's nothing too dramatic but yeah it would be better to do pacifist before genocide since it detracts from it a bit otherwise. but imo genocide is meant to be played after pacifist anyways. have you not had anything else about genocide mode spoiled? if not then you should defo try it after pacifist. playing the game three times sounds like a chore (especially since genocide mode is 99% grinding) but there's new stuff that makes it worth it.
I'd still go for genocide before pacifist.
First time I play this, I thought I was on a genocide run, turns out I was doing a neutral run.

"Corrupt" is a strong word.
Completing a Geno run will just change a detail in the ending cutscene of all future pacifist runs which, while small, completely alters the meaning of the ending.
Just remember that killing everything you meet isn't a genocide run. You have to actively deplete the spawn pool of each area of the game until the game is unable to spawn anything to fight you because you killed them all. By the time you get to Toriel you'll know whether or not you're on the genocide route.

I actually really liked Glitchtale's first "season." They took plenty of liberties, but I was surprised at how it all came together at the end. Adding their own new concepts while taking a lot of the more obscure lore and weaving it into something quite unexpected and rather well animated.
Now... issues I had with it was the art style. The art itself is REALLY bare and the models look like a style an avid 13 year old might produce on deviantart. I understand that less detail means easier animation, (which is fluid and beautiful when it gets going) but that's no excuse for how bad a lot of the characters look in a side-on profile, with jutting noses I remember doing when I tried amateur cartoony art as a teen and had no concept of proportion or foreshortening.
Like, when they brought back OmegaFlowey, the model is just awful... I get that it'd be a TON to reign in with animation, but the simplicity undercuts the illusion of SCALE, so you just don't buy that he's his proper size...
Urgh... but that was the first season, and I was generally fine with it. It was even kinda touching by the end.
So, season 2... or more, the first episode, since I haven't watch the above-posted second episode yet.
Yeah, this is cocked-up right out the fekking gate...
And damn near ALL of it had to do with our "sympathetic" villain character.
I mean, okay, she had nothing to do with the bit where Frisk fucking OBLITERATES a driver from existence with the supernatural soul powers that now exist and doesn't acknowledge he/she just KILLED someone... but I digress.
Absolutely everything to do with this fucking villain character is WRONG.
She heads this anti-monster hate group bent on stopping any and all integration of the monsters into human society, a hate-group that the story suggests existed for a long time, and that she seems to have been born into, like a Free Mason or some shit?
That's weird in itself if it's really the case... that'd be like having a society of Dodo haters leftover from before the extinction. Seems like something that would just vanish after a bit, if not instantly.
But hell, maybe that explains why THE LEADER OF THE FUCKING MOVEMENT is so rudderless and apathetic to the whole thing. She's against this peace accord because of her prejudice, but we have no idea where that prejudice stems from. But clearly it can't be based on any PARTICULARLY strong feelings, because the moment she's shown monsters have something to offer society as a whole, she relents and is like "naww, we coo'...!"
And why should Frisk or the monsters give one damn about this woman or her stupid opinions? Because for SOME reason the peace accords can't go through if she chooses not to sign them.
... fucking... WHAAAAAAAAAAT?!

Why the fuck is the consent of the leader of a hate-group even RELEVANT for what amounts to a civil rights situation? This would be like if to have the 14th Amendment altered to permit gay marriage, we required the votes of SCOTUS Justices, AND THE EXPRESS APPROVAL OF [I]THE WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH[/I]. Or are we to suggest that this anti-monster group is a branch of the government, which would ALSO be INSANE.
And it's only the LEADER'S consent that matters? She's meant to represent all these monster-haters we never see, but before the shit with her daughter is revealed, she seems all set to betray the will of her entire organization because of her own change of heart.
Oh right, I forgot. The other thing about her they utterly fucked-up.
Yeah, so turns out she had a daughter... a ballerina who just vanished one day and she'd given up for dead. And we find out she's the sixth soul taken by the monsters, and evidently by Asgore personally.
It's so fucking stupid, because it's EASY how you fix this so it WORKS:
Fix = She knows her daughter fled to Ebott and never came back. Assuming the monsters must have killed her, she formed/joined the organization, haunted and motivated by the one she lost.
This would fix her listless motives from the start, and keep her link to one of the fallen humans from being a bullshit contrivance. Instead, she HAS no motivation to be in this hate-group, and only really gets serious once she finds out that of six people in HISTORY, EVER, her daughter was the most recent casualty. Just a happy fucking coincidence!
Fuck, I don't know how you even screw it up THIS BAD. Literally NOTHING makes sense. The role of this organization should be as some muckraking propagandists doing their best to discredit the monsters and turn people against them, not as the deciding vote in some retarded peace agreement they shouldn't be a part of.
I mean, it's not like there isn't a plot here! I like the idea of tackling the inevitable fallout and controversy of the six souls and what might come of it. But there's just no fixing THIS so it makes sense now. They're not going to go back and remake it; at BEST you'd have to do a total re-edit, and you'd certainly need replacement footage.
It all seems so glaringly obvious how BROKEN this plotline is, and yet I haven't even seen anyone else offer the same contentions that I do. Seriously, is there something I'm missing that makes it all make sense???

Here let me explain it to you:
The author(s) used the content of Undertale, but not the themes at play, the overall style of dialogue and pacing, nor the established canon of the universe at large.
Essentially, they wrote their own anime fanfiction and replaced certain characters with Undertale characters.
If this did not include Undertale characters, you would be hard pressed to relate it to the game, it wouldn't have been recognized at all.
Essentially, they did what many fan fiction writers do, they included their own story that really didn't even need to be in the original work's universe, but did it anyways either to garner additional attention or due to some misguided attempt to pay tribute to their favorite narrative.
Ultimately if you're passionate about a story that you're writing, you have to do your best to seperate it from the things that inspired you. ONLY do you integrate such a story into your inspiration when your story's plot or arcs are absolutely linked to that inspiration and cannot be severed without harming the story itself.

I honestly thought that the first two episodes of season 2 were like a fanfiction written by a preteen but animated. I'm sorry but it does. The first season was pretty good for what it was because it stuck closely enough to the original plot and did something relatively clever with it. It even ended on a good note IMO: everything wrapped up, no more story left unfinished.
Now the creator wanted to continue the story on the surface. That's fine, but it's an entirely different kettle of fish from what has been done because Undertale doesn't delve into what happens next, not in depth anyhow, meaning that there's a lot less original material that the creator has to go on.
I think that a good continuation is possible, but the creator's gone the wrong way. An Illuminati-level anti-monster group? A contrived relationship between the leader of said faction and one of the human children that fell down? Weird backstory about [sp]two siblings killing each other off to see whether or not the Barrier is destroyed [I]and[/I] creating a whole new 'trait'?[/sp]

Just played it. Was very neat to see fan-content this whole & polished. Most things game-wise to my knowledge have been limited to individual fights, cool to see something larger come into play. One music track sounded out of place, but overall this was pretty good. Would recommend if you need more content for your Undertale fix.

Playing as the Yellow-souled "Justice" cowboy kid (who adorably enough is named Clover) is pretty charming in itself.
Enemy attack patterns are really nice, and the music is pretty damn great. Dalv's battle theme especially.
The demo certainly satiated my Undertale fix. I wanna see this done, it's showing promise.
Im still stuck on the second colored puzzle, i tried every single combination possible but the fact you still get random encounters while just walking arround in the puzzle pissed me off too much
