Here's to hoping the new game mode is campaign or its open world exploration

I would discourage you from getting your hopes up in that regard. It seems pretty unlikely. I have a few ideas based on the SP streams I've seen, but won't share them because a.) spoilers and b.) could well be wrong.
I missed the beta, what's the verdict? I wasn't gonna get the game originally because of how bland it looked but seeing what got added it's peaked my interest, I really enjoyed Vs game play if that helps

Missing the beta is a bit of pain really, because it is looking to be a pretty marmite game. I've really enjoyed the beta, it was great co-op wave survival/tower defence with a focus on a (new) melee system layered on top of MGSV's systems.
The singleplayer experience is open world survival/exploration (managing hunger, thirst and oxygen in certain areas) again with this melee focus (at least early game) layered on top of MGSV's original systems, with some changes here and there. Ironically, it looks more interesting and fun than most people have expected, and I think it is a bit odd that Konami have focused the marketing on the co-op.

Alright, I'll probably get it on sale or at a discount then, thanks man.

Shop around, if you don't mind grey market keys you can knock the price down a fair bit.
$32 from greenmangaming.com is the best I can find without risking getting fucked by grey markets
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
Actually gamersgate has it 10% off and I think you get an automatic discount if you use Razer zGold, so it might end up being cheaper from there? In a really roundabout way though..
I really dig this game so far. Already I'm noticing more interior areas than MGS V, albeit small ones. hunger/thirst doesn't seem too annoying so far. Thank god I got two clean waters as a daily log in bonus though, otherwise I'd probably be drinking diarrhea water by now. Trying to find that water purification blueprint ASAP.

I watched a few streams yesterday and it seems the risk of infection from drinking dirty water is fairly low (compared to raw food), so I would risk it in extremis (as this guy did, multiple times, without contracting anything)
I'm fucking terrible and basically just bought the game because I saw one gif that blew my fucking mind
ok so paying with zgold its about $30.59 at gamersgate.
Unfortunately you can only buy zgold in increments of $10, $30, $50, $100
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
but I already have 1581 from a time I did this before which I think is about $15.81 worth

I have an idea I might know what the gif is, but care to link it? Best keep it a link so as not to spoiler folks into that sort of thing.

I remember in the beta I drank a ton of dirty water BECAUSE I wanted to see what the effects were, and I never turned into Johnny.
I bought it cause I could cover almost half of the price with money I made from selling PUBG items.

So that's the [sp] Lord of Dust? The presumed stand-in for Metal Gear itself.[/sp]
[sp] You probably need to go find The Giant to stand a chance fighting that thing.[/sp]
EDIT [sp] Fuck it you'd need fucking Walking Fortress Balam from EDF to fight that. [/sp]

Man wtf is this game
[QUOTE=Swiket;53146045]Man wtf is this game[/QUOTE]
It's a weird mutation of something fucking cool and some corporate cashgrab.
[QUOTE=Zeos;53146038][sp]https://i.redd.it/hhn80uu4rah01.gif[/sp][/QUOTE]
Figured it would be that. I've said it before, but the marketing of this game is whack. They clearly don't want to give much of the cool stuff away [sp]There is more[/sp] but they don't seem to realise that they probably need to because a large part of the fanbase hates their guts and only views it as a cynical cashgrab.
alright just dropped $20 with gamersgate to get enough zgold to spend on survive ($30.59 worth)

looks good. especially pumped for the character customization
Wow, it actually looks really good, there's a lot more there that I wasn't expecting
[QUOTE=RichyZ;53146426]greenmangaming are makin me sweat a little here[/QUOTE]
Yeah, same. At this rate we're not going to get our keys much before launch if before it at all.
(Has happened before when I pre-ordered something from GMG that I didn't get the key until after the steam launch)
Yeah, hope they send out the keys soon, this was my first time ever using greenmangaming, would suck if they get delayed past release.
we arent even 24 hours till unlock yet?
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
all the launch and release stuff you are seeing is for consoles
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
if you're worried tweet them they almost always respond
they answered my dumbass asking if I could use the voucher on the discount they just added
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
Release date still says Feb 22nd on their store page

I'm not actually particularly worried, they still have over 24 hours as you said. They're usually pretty good about getting keys out early but it does come down to the publisher. The game doesn't seem to be a massive download either, so my potato internet should get it down reasonably soon after release.
Someone already tweeted them to ask and said they're looking into it
A bit after they replied again with

Yeah its just from what I was reading I was confused thinking some people thought it unlocked today
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
at least you guys dont have to worry about the store page saying February 21st, the receipt saying February 22nd, and the description saying Ill get an exclusive PS4 theme for preordering like I do with gamersgate :v:
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
ok gamersgate's receipt finally changed to say keys avail Feb 21st 19:00 no idea what time zone they are referring to but if its PST that's 3 hours late
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
wait wtf it already has a key, didnt notice this other button
[editline]20th February 2018[/editline]
ok maybe sweat a little, gamersgate already gave me one despite it saying it wont be sent till tomorrow. Not seeing any pre-purchase content code tho
[QUOTE=VenomousBeetle;53146597][i]words here[/i][/QUOTE]
