Is the slingshot worth it?
It can be handy for stealth, and back stabbing certain specials after theyve spotted you, but that's about it
my air tank glitched and the mask is invisible
so the cut scene where you use it the first time was just my dude like waving his hand in front of his face
This happened to me because I equipped the bandanna asap and I 100% thought the next line out of the AI's mouths was gonna be "oh, you also need to get a mask, DUMMY! go do another fetch quest"

Tbh, people that really hate on the game are probably happy with that rating. People in that mindset think anything below 85% is trash.
Did Jim lower every possible setting by himself to support his opinion, or is the PS4 version of Survive really this ugly?

Are you expected to be drinking the shit water until the campfire upgrade, whenever the hell that is?
You get like five antibiotics right off the bat and can find more if you check the racks in shacks for those big green suitcases. It's not THAT much of an issue but I wouldn't mind the ability to boil my water on the base campfire. Maybe one at a time, and very slowly.
Also... not a fan of certain movement options just HEMORRHAGING stamina at random. I barely slid down a hill, why am I now in the red after upgrading my stamina twice?!
So the first "co-op" mission you can do in the lobby is a good source for materials to make bullets, and with a bit of practice you can hit an A Rank without spending any resources and just using whatever is generated as sub missions. Just be sure to use your portable wormhole generator to get back to base quicker. I've been doing it solo because lack of Playstation Plus.
I'm not far after the nurse and i went for a co-op expecting to get some food(didn't found any sadly).
We were 3 including me. We were out-leveled (5-8-15? againt's lvl20s) but with a ton of fences and Molotovs and stealth attack we were able to got trough all 3 waves. While the others were doing so good in defenses and me being super weak with unleveled equipment, i decided to go and take the risk of collecting all the bonus Iris. We end up getting a S rank :v:. It was a enjoyable session
I have now spotted the Large Boy, and it was quite spooky when I was going on a quick run to get my map filled in / grab a cheeky container and he showed up. Enemy visual design is pretty damn good.
after beat campaign spoiler
[sp]Can you get the boss Big Mouth to swallow a grenade?[/sp]
Ugh, why are styptic kits so hard to come by? I feel like I need to use those more than any other medicine I have.

Agreed. Bleeding seems to get inflicted at the worst times, no more life regen is a huge deal, it takes AGES to heal naturally, and worst of all, it feels like some idiot is flicking droplets of red paint onto my screen every so often.
Argh, I really want to use the bow, as it was fun in the beta, but the spear is easily the most viable of melee weapons, at leasr for someone as awful as me.
i got real spooked when [sp]the lord of dust[/sp] just randomly ran through right outside the exit when you [sp]go and find another board along with wheelchair parts for chris[/sp].

He probbably found out a way to play on the PS2 just to lower his opinion
I fucking HATE the grabbers. Has there ever been a more annoying enemy?

The dust increases stamina consumption
wew laddy, i finally found a shock rod.

if you hear their slithering sound throw out a crystal lure

I feel like my name is suddenly Sideshow Bob with all these grabbers i've walked into.
So I take it the map opens up more after a point, there are a handful of weird barricades
So how exactly do items respawn? I thought it was on a timer but then I discovered that some things were respawning but other things close by that would have respawned at roughly the same time hadn't. It almost seems kinda randomized.
Similarly, are side missions pre-determined or can they come up at random? I've just rescued [sp] the nurse [/sp] and so far their appearance seems to be tied to story milestones, but I'm not sure.
Why is... my farm going to take 12 years?

i'm 99% sure the side ops are randomized and get replaced after a certain amount of time. i think when you get a plot-important rescue mission it shows up in green on the map but i might be wrong
[editline]23rd February[/editline]
it's great Survive has a bunch of semi-linear interior environments, there were only like one or two sections like that in Phantom Pain, if even that
Also why the fuck can't I activate some of these teleporters????
I think they're story progression locked :/ almost died getting lost in the dust and finding like 3 unusable teleporters
Does the second part of the game have no usable dirty water holes around, because I've died twice to dehydration.
Can you make bottles at a crafting station? I had like 50 just from picking up random shit, and I finally ran out.
