Can you make bottles at a crafting station? I had like 50 just from picking up random shit, and I finally ran out.
I don't know about bottles but you can learn how to craft canteens.
some big boy spoilers here:
[sp]Once you rescue seth and he is like "yes we found a weapon capable of taking the lord of dust head on", I knew exactly where it was going. I audibly shouted "fuck you don't do this" when he said "sahelanthropus"[/sp]
konami why would you do this
This time line makes no sense,[sp]is there some wacky time travel shit going on or were they to lazy to make new assets? Like why does everything have the diamond dogs logo on it when this is technically the 70s? They should have use metal gear zeke instead of sahelanthropus because huey said it was "destroyed in the xof attack"[/sp]

Yes [sp]The wormholes do not connect linearly in time. There is also more time related stuff that you're on the edge of[/sp]
I gotta say amidst all of the controversy, Survive seemed like an actually interesting game, so I picked it up.
The first few hours seem like a real slog, but I've been enjoying it so far. I've barely just gotten the oxygen tank and grabbed a few memory records from the dust. Being in the dust is tense as hell.
It feels like an angry japanese man is flicking his fingers by my ear saying FASTER when playing because of how quickly your meters deplete and how difficult it is to stay supplied. I almost forgot that more than 100% was the normal from the beta, I've been floating at 50% most of the time
The oxygen supply system runs way way way too fast
Yeah I think my complaints so far are really only around the survival stuff. I have plenty of food and water (only dirty for now; you mean I can make a chain link fence but not a fucking cooking pot to boil my water?), so I'm not hurting for resources, but I feel like I have to baby those systems while doing basically anything. It could stand to be a lot slower. I feel like I can hardly explore because of the O2 limitations, too.
The stealth and combat are a lot of fun though and I'm gonna say I actually like the game. Dropping a fence and stabbing a pole through 5 zombies in one fell swoop is fun as hell.

When I got lost I found out what happens if you run out of durability on the tank the hard way
you start spending RIDICULOUS amounts of kuban but can still refill. Lost 15k just tryna survive
[editline]23rd February 2018[/editline]
I think if you had a surplus of like 500k you could easily ignore tank durability
Yeah make sure to repair your tank. I didn't notice it was getting more expensive at first.
Wait are people really having issues with the tank?
It only costs a few hundred Kuban to refill 20% and never once was it an issue for me except 1 part towards the end where you have a VERY long walk in the dust and no transporter execpt the one you come from. And its probably the most dangerous area in the game on top of that, but really fun and spooky.
So many transporters anyways, make sure you are doing all those transporter sidequests so you can always be safe.
If you let it break it starts charging exorbitant amounts of energy. I got lost and that's why it got to that point.
[editline]23rd February 2018[/editline]
When I couldnt refill anymore it wanted 15k
I forgot to repair my oxygen tank before I started one of those wave based defense missions, and by the end of it, I was paying about 25k kuban for a refill.
kinda surprised there isnt a way to make your tank bigger or to expand your bases wormhole's influence or smth to make the dust slowly get pushed back
You eventually get an oxygen refill station you can plant out in the dust.

I saw that, is it worth building? Like does it actually stay where you place it or is it just a one time use thing?
I think it's like the flags, where it'll stick around as long as it's outside of zombie range. Like on top of a building or something.
Just did a salvage mission for the first time since the beta, and wow, it's a lot easier to get an S-rank now. Granted, this is on normal mode, but I still got a legendary armor piece out of it.

Hard missions seem much easier to S-Rank now too.
Then again I'm like 50/50 on getting matches with a infinite ammo cheater in them for hard quick matches.
this is why im literally never going to play public lobbies
fuck that
Most of my friends can't do hard salvage missions yet so I'm stuck with the quick matches for now :T
I saw that, is it worth building? Like does it actually stay where you place it or is it just a one time use thing?
It stays as long as you're nearby. It also needs to be placed on a solid platform. It has quite a lot of health so only ranged enemies should pose a threat to it if you put it out of the way. As long as it's up it'll refill your oxygen to 100% when you step on it.
Also by nearby I mean within a few metres. It's more for doing digging missions than exploring, though a full top up is worth carrying with you IMO.
How does one get the "fabrics" for the BDU that goes with armour pieces? Played for quite a while now and never come across any. Plus is the coop mode shared ammo/inventory to the singleplayer?

Fabrics can be found in some of the teleporter outposts. It's the rolls of fabric which get it I think.
Any equipment you bring into multiplayer is used up when you're done. Everything you pick up during a match is for that match only, you don't get to keep it. The only exception is ammo which can be taken out. The only materials you get from the multiplayer are the post-match rewards.
What's the deal with 'junk' items?
You can spawn an ammo refill at the ass-end of a salvage mission and get those sweet sweet bullets, very good if you have a gun that's expensive to refill or you've found a gun that takes bullets you can't make, like the snubnose .44 I got from the easy salvage A-rank. Thing kicks like a mule. (SIX SHOTS.........)
What's the deal with 'junk' items?
Isn't that where broken equipment goes?
At the very least things like that can be crafted to become a normal version of that weapon
What's the deal with 'junk' items?
Junk is "broken" gear or weapons that you can repair for a price (I think the same price as building one of the same kind?) and that can have slightly higher or lower stats compared to the stuff you build yourself. They also come with perks (+1 to a skill when equipped, more critical damage, etc etc)
You get them as rewards for salvage missions, and maybe some other ways too?
There's only three things I dislike about this game in the 10+ hours I've played. The checkpoint system and how brutal it is to die, the stunlocking some enemies can get you in with their weird hitboxes that can easily murder you and lose me OVER HALF AN HOUR OF PROGRESS AAAAA, and how much running there is especially with how fucked up your stamina gets in dust.
If there was a way to fast travel back to base without needing one of the teleporters, like with an item or something, it would literally fix all three of those issues for me since dying is only a pain in the ass because of checkpoints.

Gear and Weapon cases that you can find in containers in the open world, specifically from the "Container has washed up" side missions.
So... should I make them?
is there any way to listen to cassettes outside of your home base?
So... should I make them?
If you can spare the materials, sure. If they're not as good as what you have you can also give them to your supply teams.
