Considering MGSV was willing to throw XOF and the Parasites into MGS3 without any fucks given, it wouldn't of surprised me.

HD Collection was p'cheap on PSN so I ended up getting it, PS3 PW is all I could ask for. But I never found coop partners for the bosses, probably cause I'm fighting the first heli boss :v:

"you didn't see it but it was actually there" is acceptable. AFAIK nothing in MGS3 contradicted the possibility of XOF or the Parasites.

Most generally see it as, "the broad event happened, but none of the in-depth shit like Null or the like can really be considered canon."

True, but it certainly would have worked better than Null, which made Gray Fox like 40+ years old in Metal Gear 1.

Nobody thinks it's going to be a real Metal Gear. It's never been advertised as such and they've been up front about it being a non-canon spin-off. Personally I'm going to wait for the verdict after release before trying it and I don't think I'd get it at the price it currently has anyway, but a lot of people who've played it seem to think it's genuinely pretty fun for what it is. This constant aggressive Metal Gear fanboyism where those who want to simply try it for themselves are basically being told that whether they like it or not is moot because "it's not a ~real~ metal gear" and thus is automatically objectively terrible is getting pretty tiresome.

because the guy's been incessantly complaining about survive for ages in every single thread that pops up about survive.
nobody is getting fooled that this isn't a main mgs game. nobody is getting fooled into purchasing it.

Man, every time someone compares it to Fortnite, I forget Fortnite has another mode that isn't battle royale.
Fortnite Battle Royale is a tacked on mode that was thrown in because of PUBG hype after the game had already been announced and worked on as the PvE mode for like 5 years

It's gonna be funny if MG Survive ends up being more enjoyable, I wasn't really pleased with Fortnite when I finally bought it.

Actually it's more of a vote with your wallet situation and by buying Metal Gear Survive you're saying it's okay to lock employees away from their team making them communicate via messenger boy, deny previous employees who started up their own company health care, and to not let employees accept rewards they received because hey more metal gear/fox engine games am I right?

Konami has been shitty since forever, and if you're going to judge games by how scummy a company is, you may as well just stop playing them altogether. I guarantee you pretty much every big game company has some bad shit going on behind the scenes that we don't hear about. Maybe not Konami bad, but still.

If it was Fortnite with a MG skin I'd actually like it. The changes they made to the MGSV formula and they changes they needed to make but didn't are the biggest reasons as to why I don't even have plans to get it from fuckin' G2A or something.

I'm buying it because I thought the beta was genuinely fun, and it's been a slow couple of months for games so far.

There have been 31 games released in 2018 as of today that don't rely on being an over priced expansion and tormenting former employees. Many of these games are also over 60 hours. Did you actually look for games? Or are you scrambling to rationalize and justify your purchase?
