Metal Gear Megathread V - Kojima's been wanting out since MGS2 - Games

So, im on the second part of the game in [sp]Africa?[/sp] , Do i get my base building functionality back or is it locked up until i beat the game?

The biggest name is probably Masahiro Ito, the creature designer who did work for pretty much every Silent Hill game worth talking about. Suddenly, the way the assets look makes a [I]lot[/I] more sense. Shinkawa has this beautiful, synthetic, clean, futuristic look to everything, and it's a nice contrast with Ito's more natural (but still angular- he likes crystals, and designed Pyramid Head after all) stuff, and the fact he seems to really enjoy designing old, decrepit, and damaged stuff. How do you get the barbed wire fence? I feel like the only one that hasn't gotten it yet.

I put a bdu under every chest piece I've worn since the start of the game basically, no idea where I've found the fabric but I always have plenty

Just teleport in circles and loot all the baby bases from the start of the game, since that's presumably where they are cos I didn't really deviate off the path of main story shit till postgame

So I just beat the second endgame boss and got two orange gear enhancement kits, so I assume there's some orange gear in the game somewhere.

I'm pretty sure legendary gear / weapons will be coming with events. I think I saw one in a loading screen tip about spending BP on event rewards. On that note, I hope events are more interesting than MGSV's FOB events. Skulls attack was the only fun one.

Damn, I gotta get that Geist. I have a blue one, and I honestly like it more than any of the legendary pistols I've found so far since it has basically no recoil. This game is fun but could've done with removing the absurd time gating for base digging. If i want to blow through all the content and play with all the equipment like saw blade traps which will take me 24 hours to get right now??? then let me do so. All because some person somewhere is going to spend real money to bypass the timer? Worse than save slots.

Hey guys, so after a few years my gf finally got me into the series and I've been powering through the games in the last few weeks (a little late to the party). I've been working on some new cosplay stuff and wanted to share here. I'm cnc machining out a few props out of 6061 aluminum, starting with the EZ gun. It has a spring loaded slide, and functional trigger that turns on the laser sight. I plan on making his CQC knife, leg holster knife, Patriot, Vox box and a few other things in the near future. I'll post more progress pics here if you guys are interested.

Is the vox box Naked Snake's radio in 3? That'd be a killer prop with an aluminum base and a nice snappy switch.
