So if I just let my guys take care of base defense, do I get an S rank as long as I got more than enough defense points to deal with everything?
And how the fuck do you get shared ressources into the plus? I've got a shitton of farms, loads of rain water and medicine and only 15 people to take care of, yet they're always out of water, everyone is sick and stuff like that. What am I doing wrong?
I've done 2 base defenses besides the tutorial one and I'm on day 3 of the third one now. It seems like as long as you don't get overrun or end it early it'll end with an S Rank, at least as far as I've experienced.
Check how much food/water/medicine per update everything gives you. Tomatoes are great, green, and 500 hunger per tomato for you. They only give +160 per update for your crew where as potatoes give you +300 per update for your dudes. Also there 2 types of water units, water storage which give like +30/+45 water per update then actual water production units that give significantly more. Like the Water Purifier and Large Water Purifier are like +240/+360 per update. I ran into the same problem thinking, "Oh tomatoes are late game food clearly they're better than potatoes for everything." Then I started running into food shortages and everyone was getting pissy.
That sucks I killed [sp]frostbite and big mouth[/sp] didn't get the achievement. Real kick in the balls spending hours preparing for [sp]frostbite[/sp] just to get material cases.

Yeah, you pretty much have to build every food and water source to get your resources in the positive, so you're probably gonna have to sacrifice pretty much all of your defenses if you want to make your people happy. Also, don't have more than 22 people at your base. Right now you can only have 22 beds at your base, and if you have more people than beds, morale will take a nosedive. If you have too many people, just send them on exploration missions with no supplies repeatedly until they die, since there's no way to simply get rid of them.
Hell yeah, finally hit L69 for Jaeger. Already there on Scout.

Loving the look of some of the armour in this game...

I've been cheating death with this helmet too many times. The % based chance on this is pretty good, most of the time I take no damage in a hoard. (Now that has got me thinking... does Avenger makes it that they take damage, while you yourself do not? I have yet to try that out now.)
Almost enough that I've become too reckless without these perks. But as a medic I should do what I must to survive.
Also, Medic's hard tackle paired with the stomping perk on these lower gear makes conserving your weapon's durability a relief. Don't underestimate the stomp, it synergizes with the tackle pretty good:

Medic's the next class I'll focus on for sure.
I'm a sucker for Medic classes. Then again I never do online so maybe it won't be viable? I'd love to play with you guys sometimes when I can get my schedule straight
Had I seen all the useful perks Scout got, I would've gone with it first, but I'm already balls deep in Jaeger, so I'm gonna max that one out.
So has anyone else been running into any issues with Coop today?
I had some time so I've run two matches, both of them after finishing and S ranking them right after the "Finish" blast wave wipes out the rest of the wanderers I am immediately kicked back to the title screen and receive no rewards and keep all the item/durability loss.
Are classes a progression thing to unlock?
I had a weird problem earlier where I got disconnected from the rest of the players I was matched with. The message "Janus Vesta left matchmaking" appeared 4 times and the match loaded up with just me.
This has happened before, the weird thing was that no enemies spawned in during the attack waves. Only enemies who spawn at the start of the match and detonators appeared for the whole thing. It was a very easy A rank, with the digger on full for the first two rounds.
Fun fact, there's not enough kuban energy to power the digger for 3 waves if no enemies spawn, so no free S rank for me.

You unlock them shortly after the main story.
boy do i wish you could toggle a balaclava for helmets like how you can change your undershirt
I just wish they would add aviators or any kind of sunglasses in general to the cosmetic slot, really was hoping to wear some.
I'm sure they'll eventually add more cosmetic items.....for a small fee.
For base defense when you are away, can i get away with using the regular heavy machine gun turrets for now? Im not sure if they'd do shit, i know the automated turrets do the job though.
What's the point of doing side quests in co-op? I did one and got a "gatling gun" but I didn't find anywhere how to use it, are they stored somewhere?
you can use them when you purchase intercept units on the digger to help defend

You get the crafting materials for it when you loot them, not the items themselves.
Frankly if I get the Gatling Gun I end up using it to just make 2 more auto turrets since they're a lot more effective and don't require someone to be piloting it.
Does anyone have some unbiased looks at Survive? I find the concept interesting but ALL I see and watch is just how 'shit' it is from popular people.
I read that Africa Teleporter 5 is not in the game, and that the electric fence is part of it. Anybody know what that's all about?

On top of giving you the materials to craft the listed item, as mentioned above, completing side ops also gives you bonus iris energy. The higher the iris score the more stuff you get.
There was a talk of what should happen to the MGS series a few pages back, but what about MG?
How about a FOX Engine retelling of Metal Gear 1 and 2? Gameplay doesn't really need to be that of MGSV, FOX was used for the PES Soccer games too, so it can go pretty much anywhere.
The Detonators that guard side-ops objectives are also high value targets. There's a not-insignificant chance that if you successfully stealth-kill one he will be carrying an ammo box - that's a lot of ammo for your guns, which you'll burn through like crazy on harder missions.
I really wish ammo resupply boxes had enough ammo for all four players. Half the time someone spawns one in both ammo packs get taken pretty much instantly.
Man this is the second week in a row i get time to play and the servers are fucking down again. I thought it was Tuesdays night for maintenance. Fucking always online bullshit.
we now have hard dailies and weeklies with apparently new rewards.
[editline]6th March 2018[/editline]
also they increased the amount of tents from 2 to 5 for your base camp.
[editline]6th March 2018[/editline]
also UHHHHHH apparently [sp]bosses like frostbite[/sp] spawns in hard coop now instead of support diggers. you have to kill them now if you want to s rank dailies/weeklies.

Glad to see some Medic changes, especially Healing Boost. The injury recovery and HP regen rates were abysmal, even Cure Knuckle’s damage. Although Cure Knuckle’s main point is to heal 20% HP and to quickly revive teammates if there are more pressing matters to attend to.
Kinda miffed that the First Aid skill doesn’t apply on Cure Knuckle’s quick revive tactic, although that’d be a bit OP considering you can revive at a distance safely and not be vulnerable to attack.
Wonder what kind of new gears we can toy around with more, probably not much but at least something than nothing.
[sp]And TBH, I’d rather take on Big Mouth/Frost Bite than babysit a support digger. Much more interesting when dealing with bosses.[/sp]
you can now get advanced workshop recipe from doing the hard coop, presumably daily/weekly since that's where i got it.
also exploding rounds.
Seems like the weekly/daily bosses are lvl 69, guess I've still got a ways to go then.
Man, I don't know who to put in base dev, I've got these two assholes who have Carpenter and Construction worker which sounds like base dev potential but no improvement happens.
